Stros M’Kai Area Description

One of the first landfalls settled by the Redguards when they sailed east from their lost homeland of Yokuda, the island of Stros M’Kai is now a haven for freebooters, sea-rovers, and other nautical entrepreneurs who roam the Abecean Sea.

What Is A Wayshrine?

Wayshrines are shrines that were built to honor the Divines by being a safe haven point where players can revive if you die while adventuring in Tamriel.  Once you visit a wayshrine, it becomes available on your map for you to use to fast travel at no cost.  You can also travel to any unlocked wayshrine from anywhere in Tamriel for a price paid in gold.  This price reduces with time and also can be reduced by champion point allocations.  Each zone begins with one available wayshrine.

Stros M’Kai Summary

Stros M’Kai is a desert island settled by the Redguards.  It has become a haven for pirates from the Abecean Sea.  The Headman Bhosek rules from his palace in Port Hunding.

This is a great little area for new players to get the lay of the land when starting The Elder Scrolls Online.  Enemies are not as powerful nor plentiful as they are in other areas.  You can find skyshards, treasure maps, and learn how to use wayshrines while also enjoying exploration and a little combat.  Don’t overlook this tiny little island.
