What Is A Crafting Set Station?
A crafting set station is a crafting area that allows you to craft a specific set piece of armor. Often there are additional requirements, like a number of traits that must be researched before you can make an item of a specific set. While you can make generic pieces at crafting set stations, these are the only areas where you can the specific set that is listed. There is one exception – attunable crafting tables (which are ‘tuned’ to replicate set stations) can be obtained and placed in houses for use.
On your map, crafting set stations appear with a blackened crafting icon when you are close to a location. Once the set station has been visited, the icon turns white.
How To Obtain Overland Set Pieces
Players are rewarded for each boss kill with item/items from that boss’s loot table.
- Delve bosses drop a waist, foot, or another unique item piece.
- Overland World Bosses drop a head, chest, leg, weapon, or unique item piece.
- Public dungeon bosses drop a shoulder, hand, weapon, or unique item piece.
- Chests at Dark Anchors or Dolmens drop a jewelry set piece.
Even with Curated Item Set Drops, bosses with a specific loot table will only drop curated items from their own loot table. Treasure chests have a chance to grant any set piece from the zone they are found in. Click here to learn more about curated set drops.
What Is A Delve?
A delve in The Elder Scrolls Online is in essence a small dungeon. Delves usually contain a few enemies, at least one ‘boss’, and a skyshard. Delves can generally be completed solo. If you are a new player, you may want to explore delves with a friend. Most delves have an associated quest that you can get just inside or near the entrance. This quest is more a side story to the main quest of the area but does offer rewards for completing it.
On your map, delves appear with a blackened single torch. Once the delve is completed (by defeating the boss or bosses), the delve icon turns white.
In Ayleidoon, “Garlas Agea” means “Cavern of Secrets.” But the secrets of the Wild Elves were often dark, horrific, and perhaps better forgotten.
Garlas Agea Location
Travel southeast from the Gold Coast Wayshrine to locate Garlas Agea.
Exploring and defeating the boss will reward you with the Garlas Agea Explorer achievement.
Inside Garlas Agea
Garlas Agea is inhabited by Gold Coast enemies. This delve has one level, one boss, and one skyshard as notated on the map. One of the zone’s lore books is also located in this delve.
Ironfang is a giant troll. He uses heavy hits and pounds the ground creating large aoes. During the battle, he will smash some of the cages around the room releasing welwas. Avoid the aoes when possible. Ranged attacks work well. He is easily defeated.
Sometimes natural caves serve as lairs for wild beasts, and sometimes they’re occupied by criminals such as smugglers or bandits. Occasionally, they may become home to … something worse.
Hrota Cave Location
Travel north from the Anvil Wayshrine to locate Hrota Cave.
Exploring and defeating the boss will reward you with the Hrota Cave Explorer achievement.
Inside Hrota Cave
Hrota Cave is inhabited by wisps and Fallen enemies. This delve has one level, one boss, and one skyshard as notated on the map.
Zalar-do is a duel wielding vampire that is very light on her feet. Bloodfiends are also in the area and they are easily defeated. Avoid the aoes when possible. She is easily defeated.
Completing The Vampire’s Prey
You will need to find Jakja, Hiwoud, and kill the vampire lord Zalar-do. Speak to Mel Adrys to complete the quest and you will be rewarded with gold and an Unidentified Sithis’ Touch Equipment container, part of the Sithis’ Touch armor set.
What Is A Group Dungeon?
Group Dungeons are designed to be four-player areas. Dungeons in ESO feature large groups of enemies that are tougher to defeat and have multiple bosses. These bosses pose unique challenges and often feature special mechanics that require teamwork. Each dungeon has a quest with a skill point rewarded for its completion. Dungeons also offer special gear sets that cannot be found in the overland areas of Tamriel. Dungeons can be completed in normal mode, veteran mode, or veteran hardmode. Dungeons completed in any of the veteran modes will reward you with a Monster Helm – a unique piece of armor for the head. You can learn more about Monster sets in the Monster Set Guide and how to obtain the matching shoulder piece in the Undaunted Guide. You can also find a video and a written guide for each dungeon in the All About Mechanics Series.
On your map, dungeons appear with a blackened square-shaped icon with a plus sign. Once the dungeon is completed (by defeating the bosses), the dungeon icon turns white.
What Is A World Boss?
World bosses are powerful enemies often with their own unique abilities. They sometimes require groups of players to overcome. World bosses in DLC zones are significantly harder than other base game bosses.
On your map, world bosses appear with a blackened skull and crossed swords icon. Once the world boss is defeated, the world boss icon turns white.
Knight Commander Panthius at Kvatch Arena
Travel northeast in the town of Kavatch from the Kvatch Wayshrine to find the Kvatch Arena.
In this arena, you will battle many waves of enemies. Each round of enemies will become harder. Additionally, each round will include healers and archers. Focus your attention on the healers. They prolong the battle by keeping the enemies alive. The archers should be the second focus as their ranged attacks cause a lot of damage. Once all the preliminary enemies are defeated, the final round will include Knight Commander Panthius. He is carrying a battle flag. He has a heavy cleave attack and also creates lightning aoes. AVoid them when possible. As long as you keep the healers down and manage the archers, Knight Commander Panthius is easily defeated.
The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Conquer the Kvatch Arena achievement.
Limenauruus at Tribune’s Folly
Travel northwest of the Strid River Wayshrine to find Tribune’s Folly.
Tribune’s Folly is a mine and the world boss is located inside. You will first need to defeat shadow enemies including Shadow Bloodfiends and Shadow Assassins. Limenauruus is a giant minatour. He wields a mace and has very hard-hitting cleaves. Additionally, he will pound and/or stomp the ground creating aoes that will knock you back or even off your feet. Additional shadow enemies also accompany him. Focus on the archers, as their ranged attacks do heavy damage. Avoid Limenauruus’s aoes when possible. Ranged attacks work.
The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Defeat Limenauruus achievement.
What Is A Wayshrine?
Wayshrines are shrines that were built to honor the Divines by being a safe haven point where players can revive if you die while adventuring in Tamriel. Once you visit a wayshrine, it becomes available on your map for you to use to fast travel at no cost. You can also travel to any unlocked wayshrine from anywhere in Tamriel for a price paid in gold. This price reduces with time and also can be reduced by champion point allocations. Each zone begins with one available wayshrine.
On your map, wayshrines will appear with a blackened wayshrine icon when you are close to its location. Once the wayshrine has been visited, the icon turns white.
What Is A Zone Daily Quest?
Zone daily quests are daily repeatable quests throughout Tamriel. Each zone has its own dailies which are usually given by a NPC. Typically zone dailies include completing activities in delves, killing world bosses, or completing zone-specific tasks.
