What Is A Crafting Set Station?
A crafting set station is a crafting area that allows you to craft a specific set piece of armor. Often there are additional requirements, like a number of traits that must be researched before you can make an item of a specific set. While you can make generic pieces at crafting set stations, these are the only areas where you can the specific set that is listed. There is one exception – attunable crafting tables (which are ‘tuned’ to replicate set stations) can be obtained and placed in houses for use.
On your map, crafting set stations appear with a blackened crafting icon when you are close to a location. Once the set station has been visited, the icon turns white.
How To Obtain Overland Set Pieces
Players are rewarded for each boss kill with item/items from that boss’s loot table.
- Delve bosses drop a waist, foot, or another unique item piece.
- Overland World Bosses drop a head, chest, leg, weapon, or unique item piece.
- Public dungeon bosses drop a shoulder, hand, weapon, or unique item piece.
- Chests at Dark Anchors or Dolmens drop a jewelry set piece.
Even with Curated Item Set Drops, bosses with a specific loot table will only drop curated items from their own loot table. Treasure chests have a chance to grant any set piece from the zone they are found in. Click here to learn more about curated set drops.
Galen and Y’ffelon Mythic Items
Mythic items are powerful items that have special bonuses for every single piece. These items are available by completing groups of master difficulty Antiquity leads.
What Is A Delve?
A delve in The Elder Scrolls Online is in essence a small dungeon. Delves usually contain a few enemies, at least one ‘boss’, and a skyshard. Delves can generally be completed solo. If you are a new player, you may want to explore delves with a friend. Most delves have an associated quest that you can get just inside or near the entrance. This quest is more a side story to the main quest of the area but does offer rewards for completing it.
On your map, delves appear with a blackened single torch. Once the delve is completed (by defeating the boss or bosses), the delve icon turns white.
Shaky Job Prospects
Outside the entrance to Embervine, you will encounter Hierot Birlan. He is performing a mineral survey for House Mornard but needs help with the Firesong Druids that are occupying the Embervine cave. The druids are using magical crystals to open fissures. Destroying the crystals will stop them.
Travel slightly southeast of the Llanshara Wayshrine to find Embervine delve. The entrance can be tricky to locate as it in recessed in a cliff wall. This delve includes one boss and one skyshard as notated on the map.
Exploring and defeating the boss will reward you with the Embervine Explorer achievement.
Embervine is inhabited by shalks, bull-horned magma frogs, and many Firesong Druids. There are several levels including the Upper Vista, the Outer Caverns, the Inner Caverns, and the Upper Jungle. The skyshard is located on the Jungle Overlook and the easiest way to reach the delve boss is to drop down from the skyshard location.
Traux the Ancient and Druid Rerlas
When you first encounter Druid Revlas and Traux the Ancient, Traux tongue-lashes the Druid and appears to swallow him. Traux the Ancient is a large bull-horned magma frog. Traux kicks, jumps, spits poison, and tongue lashes. He also creates small aoes with flaming rocks. Avoid the aoes as much as possible. Ranged attacks work well. Once Traux is defeated, Druid Revlas reappears. He uses ranged attacks with a flame staff. He also summons Magma Familiars to battle for him. Focus on the familiars, and the druid is easily defeated.
Completing Shaky Job Prospects
After destroying the druid crystals and defeating the delve, return to Hierot. He rewards you with gold and the Crystalbreaker’s Belt. This is a heavy armor waist piece that is part of the Bastian of the Draoife.
“The Fauns’ Thicket herd is rowdy. They play and hunt throughout the day, then bray for most of the night! Did Y’ffre have to make Fauns so noisy?” — Druid Madena
Fauns’ Thicket Location
Travel south from the Y’free’s Path Wayshrine to find Fauns’ Thicket.
This delve has one level, one boss, and one skyshard as notated on the map.
Exploring and defeating the boss will reward you with the Fauns’ Thicket Explorer achievement.
Inside Fauns’ Thicket

Bahltur is a primal ursauk, a bear-like creature. He is a heavy hitter. He also jumps and bites and creates aoes that will fear you. Avoid them whenever possible. Ranged attacks work well.
Completing Fauns In Peril
After you have planted the seeds at the locations specified you will leave Faun’s Thicket to meet with Druid Edaen again. She will reward you gold and the Thorncaster’s Lava Staff which is part of the Back-Alley Gourmand armor set.
What Is A World Boss?
World bosses are powerful enemies often with their own unique abilities. They sometimes require groups of players to overcome. World bosses in DLC zones are significantly harder than other base game bosses.
On your map, world bosses appear with a blackened skull and crossed swords icon. Once the world boss is defeated, the world boss icon turns white.

Travel either southwest of the Embervine Wayshrine or northwest of the Eastern Shores Wayshrine to locate the Grove of the Chimera.
The Endling is a chimera made of three unique creatures – a gryphone, lion, and wamasu. As you approach the grove, you’ll see the endling is sleeping within a protective bubble. To release him, you must first defeat each creature individually along with other Firesong Druids. The Endling is very powerful creating large aoes, painful bites, leaps, and he creates ground shocks. You must avoid the aoes and direct attacks whenever possible. Ranged attacks work well.
The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Endling Ender achievement.
Timbershade at the Valley of the Watcher
Travel south of the Trappers Peak Wayshrine to find the two Eldertide Theurges at Amenos Basin along the shoreline.
Timbershade is a forest wraith that was once created to be a guardian of nature but has since gone rogue. He is accompanied by a Guardian Spriggan who is channel to him. You must first kill the Guardian Spriggan to release Timbershade. Once released he uses heavy hits, jumps, and spits poisons. He summons strangers, spiders, and bristleback boards to aid in battle. Spriggans also appear and several at a time channel to him. These cannot be interrupted but instead must be defeated. While this is happening the entire area fills with poison but once they are defeated, the poison clears. As a group, it is important to prioritize the spriggans, and then the rest of the adds.
The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Timbershade Tumbler achievement.
What Is A Wayshrine?
Wayshrines are shrines that were built to honor the Divines by being a safe haven point where players can revive if you die while adventuring in Tamriel. This price reduces with time and also can be reduced by champion point allocations. Each zone begins with one available wayshrine.

When a volcanic vent is active you can see a smoke plume from a distance. Like other world events, there are several waves of enemies and then finally a mini-boss. When the mini-boss is defeated, a Volcanic Cache will appear. This cache is like a chest which contains gold and other loot and also contains a jewelry piece from the area.
