Infinite Archive Guide

“What is life but a constant fight against unending enemies and unseen puppet masters across an ever-changing landscape?  The Endless Archive is not the exception to the struggles of existence, it is the quintessence of it.”  — Master Malkhest

Introduction

Please note:  in the video I refer to the archive as the Endless Archive.  This was the original name.  However, it has been changed to the Infinite Archive, which I will use in this written text.

You thought the series was dead but it is not. People said this couldn’t be done but it could!  This is the new All About Mechanics Guide for the Infinite archive!  This content is brand new to the game for everyone.  And yes, it’s free!

Now basically this is a solo or duo arena.  You can go in there on your own or you can go in there with one friend.  Please note that can be an AI friend as well because a companion counts as a friend. Companions by design take a GROUP member spot. Now while some would argue a “companion is not as skilled as a player” and that may hold true in many cases, there are also situations where a player may play worse (mild joke but a reality). Player skill is not default, it varies, but Companions can become predictable and you can use that to your advantage. bare in mind that companions are designed for YOU to build how YOU want. And a companion is better than NO companion.

There are some skills the companions have that actually trump the player variants. Their version of Bone Shield for example has a 28-meter range for the synergy whereas the player version is only 6! Also, Companions now take LESS damage from AOE types in there AND they get the SAME Vision as the ones you pick up, so YES if you get a REALLY OP Vision you BOTH get it! That tips the scales a little bit and can become interesting since that RARELY happens for players. Just food for thought.

There are two separate leaderboards for this particular instance.  One for solo and one for duo.  And again, YES a companion counts as a “group member”. So if you want to be a TRUE Solo warrior, you have to be 100% solo, NO outside help. But that is up to you. Solo or Duo it’s open to either. And believe it or not, the VAST majority of players in the Elder Scrolls Online play SOLO or DUO! #FACTS!

What is an Infinite Archive?

How does this work exactly?  Well, it’s infinite.  Essentially there is no end – you just go in and stay as long as you can, kill loads and loads of enemies.  You kill loads of bosses and you get loot.  Happy days!  But you stay in there based on how far you can get.  No, there is no timer.  Generally speaking, in most score runs for content, your time is a contributor to your score in there. In the Infinite Archive, the time does NOT contribute. So basically so long as you don’t get logged out for inactivity, you can take breaks, get a coffee, whatever, and have it NOT affect your run. Your score is determined by HOW FAR you get. It really is as simple as that!

It is so you can stop and go and take a break as long as you don’t reset your game.  And as long as you don’t leave the instance for too long it won’t affect your score at all.  This is made for everyone in the game.  So if you want to build a tanky tank and take your time you can.  If you want to go ultra squish and just go hell for leather, you can as well. There are no rules to this.  It is up to you!

But there is a system now.  You start with rounds or stages and then you have cycles.  And then you have arcs.  There are three stages to every cycle (two trash rounds and a boss round). There are then 5 cycles to an arc. The third stage of every fifth cycle is where you will fight the Infinite Archive Boss Tho’at Replicanum!

Those bosses are taken from the game.  There are bosses from Dungeons, Trials, Arenas, World Bosses, Delves, Public Dungeons, and the lot.  Anything you may have seen before could be in there.  And yes, there are going to be some spoilers for that because SURPRISE, while there are supposed to be allegedly according to Mike Finnigan (encounter lead for Zenimax Online Studios) currently between 60 – 70 bosses in there! They are the same, in essence, as the ones that you would have encountered in other content but some of them have a bit of a twist to allow them to fit into this content and allow them to be accessible, and at the same time challenging for solo or duo players.

So to make this less confusing, three different stages including a boss then five of those equal an arc.  Bear in mind it’s four bosses then the arc boss.  At that arc, you will fight the major boss for (Tho’at Replicanum) and the more arcs you encounter, the more difficult the boss gets.  It ramps up and adds more things to the fight but we will show more of that later when we go over the mechanics below.

Infinite Difficulty

Now we’re going to talk about difficulty level.  Most content has normal and veteran levels.  This does not have either.  The difficulty that you are presented with to start with is set in stone.  No matter what level you are, no matter what builds you use, no matter where you are in the game.  ANYONE can play this at ANY level, and it is 100% BASE GAME! However, the further you get, the more difficult it gets.

Now the first arc isn’t necessarily easy for everyday players but it is less stressful in comparison to the extra arcs on top.  As you go through the arcs it will get dramatically more difficult so stay as long as you can.  Get your score, get your loot, and get out again.  Then you can just repeat, repeat, repeat.

And here’s the good thing – if you’ve had enough, you can cancel your run.  Say that’s me, done, here’s my score, you keep the loot you acquired.  You can spend it on the store (explained more below).  Failing that, if you just think you’re having a bad run or you just want to go for a reset, there is a reset button called the Rest Hourglass.  So instead of hanging around in Grahtwood waiting for your instant to reset as you would in Maelstrom or Vateshran Hollows, you don’t have to do that anymore.  You press this button (the Reset Hourglass) and you leave and come back in again. Again, NO cooldown!

Archival Fortunes

This is where it gets tricky.  There is a store and you will receive currency (Archival Fortunes) in this particular arena that can only be spent here.  Two stores, technically.  One of them is a weekly and the inventory rotates much like the Golden Vendor in Cyrodiil and the other one has very unique items.  It has class sets that are curated so the purple boxes will give you stuff that you don’t already have.  The blue boxes will give you random stuff.  So you can just try your luck but it’s a lot cheaper.

Here is the extra kicker – there are bonuses that you can unlock.  You will have to pay for them but if you acquire certain achievements, you can then buy these and unlock bonus enhancements for your entire account for the rest of your Infinite Archive runs!  So some make you run faster, some that give you more Visions and Verses, and some that give you extra threads (lives) as well.  These will stay with your account forever! So the longer you play or the more you play, even if you just do one or two rounds and just repeat it you can still generate currency to buy these things.  You don’t have to be the best player.  You could just repeat what you are good at and then only go that far.  But the more you play it, the stronger you become!

Visions and Verses

We’re going to go into the Verses and Visions now.  Verses and Visions are buffs you are going to get at the end of each round.  If you have a Verse, you have a buff for the next round only.  That Verse can be utility, offensive, or defensive.  There are very large differences between some of these.  Some might give you a stamina bonus if you kill something.  A different Verse might attach a fire beam to you that you carry across the room and nuke everything inside of it!  It’s dramatic!  Now these are random.  One of the bonuses that you can buy once you earn an achievement, is that instead of giving you two Verses to choose from at the end of every round, it can give you three!  In the store also, you can buy an extra Verse to be used once per cycle either defensive, utility, or offensive which will, again, give you a random buff that does stack!

The verses are temporary so it’s quite tricky to choose which ones you want to take when you are presented with the options because you might get a defensive bonus and then find the next round easy.  Or you might pick an offensive bonus and then you realize you’ve bitten off more than you can chew and you wish you had some defense.  Your choices can quite literally make or break your run depending on which one you choose per found boss.  Rounds are special because some of them get difficult.  The further you go in you can tactically kind of decide, based on the choices you’ve been given, what you should take but you can never tell which boss you’re going to get.

Now the really big bonus is the VisionsVisions are NOT temporary.  Visions are permanent throughout your entire run until you inevitably end your run.  Those are also very very beneficial but it depends on your build.  You could get enchantments improved by a percentage.  You can get status damage improved by 500% PER STACK! You can get extra bleed dots just for doing heavy attacks!  Or you can stack three of a particular set and then when you pick up verses, one of them could be a transformation!  You can turn into an ice Avatar, am Iron Atronach, or you can turn into a massive massive hulking werewolf which we call ‘Juffy’!  Now there are several different variants along the way.  You could get them in any order but you can stack three that are part of the same set.  And that can be a massive decider towards your next round.  Bear in mind you could be inexperienced in the game and get some of the most powerful buffs and flatten everything! So it’s not just based on skill. But you will learn a lot about the mechanics in the Infinite Archive because the rounds are very punishing the further you go!

Infinite Mechanics

There are lots of different base game mechanics that you will encounter here in ways that you should do in other content but you may have missed it because you might have been running around in Overland or maybe other people have splattered stuff for you and you don’t get to see them.  The basics are here and it will help you with future content.  So if you are experienced, you may have an idea of what each enemy does, but if you are not, you will learn so much HERE that it will in fact HELP you in OTHER content. Learning to familiarise yourself with other content before you are there is a huge plus for all.  Its own indirect training ground for bosses and trash alike!

There are heavy attacks that you have to block.  There is an abundance of aoe stuff going on in the ground.  There are also a lot of interrupt mechanics.  Above all, every round after you get past the first arc essentially tends to be a big enemy or a fabled enemy.  Those are awful! They could be Flame Shapers, Infusers, Sun Eaters, Spell Thieves and so much more!  It’s crucial to your survival that you get rid of them!  Sometimes you need to get rid of them quickly because they cause a problem.  Other times you just need to keep on top of their mechanics and make sure you interrupt them.  For example, an Infuser needs to be interrupted otherwise the whole room will go enraged turning everything red and making them MUCH stronger.  The flame shaper needs to be interrupted otherwise it rapidly fires flaming balls at players, and so on.  There are lots of different enemies and they are completely random every single round! Even if you die and restart a round, they can span DIFFERENT enemies!
So you might not ever get the same thing twice in the same cycle but you do need to be aware of each mechanic as you go.  Bear in mind you want to generate resources to go and buy stuff from the store so you are not going to be here just once.  It’s fine to take each run as a learning experience.  The more you play in here the better skilled you will be for ALL content, you learn a LOT here! mechanical awareness has to be at an all-time high! And if you lose, you lose nothing but your threads. GO AGAIN!

No Infinite Lives

Now how long can you go for?  Well, you’ve got three lives or threads.  Let’s call it what it is – you’ve got three wipes.  If you are solo and you die, you have wiped.  You’ve got three of those otherwise you are done.  It shows you your score and it shows you how many perks and bonuses you get along the way.  Every run can be completely different.  You might get great stuff.  You might get absolute crap.  Who knows?  Go again and find out.  But if you are a duo, you still have three wipes.  That’s very specific, not lives but WIPES because if one of you dies, the other person can RESURRECT you.  If they succeed in resurrecting you, you won’t lose that thread!  So technically they are lives but we call them wipes because your whole group, both of you, have to completely die for you to lose that chance of continuing.  You get three of them.  You can buy an extra one from the store if you unlock a certain achievement.  HOWEVER! If both YOU and your PARTNER have unlocked the Extra Thread bonus for your account? THEY STACK! So you can start with 5!

Unlocking Achievements

This is how you unlock your achievements.  There are occasionally rifts next to the portal that you use to travel to the next round.  If you get those, go in them.  They are secret rooms and there are multiple different ones that all have a bonus tied to them IF you get past the fifth one of each type.

If you do round one as one of the GOAT, for example, the next time you’ll see level two.  Then the next time you’ll see level three if you get past all five of each one, that will allow you to buy one of the perks from the store.  There is ONE for FULL completion of EACH secret!

Here’s what they are:

The GOAT! – This one you are a goat, being chased by the Butcher and the Butcher’s wife! You need to run like hell and avoid being hit. Collect 3x sweet rolls to boost your ultimate. Then USE your ultimate to turn and headbutt the butcher. You must be careful. On the 5th version of this you will fail if you get HIT with a melee attack ONCE, so do some laps, and keep your distance, and take advantage of space..don’t be “greedy” just because you are GOAT!

NOTE: DUO you can resurrect each other!

Watchers! –  This one is VERY tricky, especially at later stages. Basically, you turn into a watcher and have to seek out Tome Shells and kill them. You have 5 unique abilities while you are looking for them. You have from 1 to 5, a spin attack, a search buff (seeks them out) a speed buff, a Stun (must be facing target), and a duck-n-dive spin attack! Use these tactically as they have cooldowns. But you have obstacles. The tentacles MUST be avoided, they have a HUGE attack range so wait until they are inactive. Zombies are FAST so watch your back but be sure to utilize your stun before engaging. And avoid the winds at all costs. If you find all Tome Shells you will complete the secret and be given a verse.

NOTE: DUO you can resurrect each other!

The Wisps – PROBABLY the easiest of the Secrets, this one you have to grab wisps and lure them back to the middle of the room. Don’t run too fast else they will leave you and run back to their starting point. Collect all of the wisps to complete the secret. By the way, you CAN get more than one wisp at a time but they all work independently so be sure not to run TOO fast else they will split up!

The Puzzle – That’s right, a puzzle! Exactly like the one in Graven Deep from The Secret Boss. Basically, there are 6 buttons and you have to press them to remove patches from the ground and create a path to get to the other side. There are TWO variants to this!
If you are DUO, you have to do one at a time. Press one, move a space, press one, move a space. However, if SOLO…you need to make the path and run all the way in ONE run!

PRO TIP: – Solo, activate the buttons FRONT to BACK. If you release the back ones LAST they will be the LAST ones to respawn. Giving you more time. This means the FIRST ones you run past will be at the front, and they will spawn as you run past them. So remember, FRONT TO BACK!

The Duel – This fight is literally as it sounds. It’s a Duel between YOU and an Arcanist. When you are fighting her she will teleport around the room and spreading AOEs will spread from under your feet. Once they POP tentacles will be dropped at your feet. So when it pops, be sure to dodge roll. As the difficulty levels rise for her, you will see more mechanics. Crystals that will trigger and must be killed, Adds that will spawn and should be killed to make things easier, and more negative aoes to deal with.

TWO major tips!
1) Be sure to be ready to interrupt her throughout the fight or you will die VERY fast!
2) You have NO visions or verses in THIS fight!

Look for BOOKS! – The LAST secret is a QUEST.  Basically you pick up the quest and leave the room. The rest of the time you play through MULTIPLE runs, you will need to look around each room to find books. Once you collect them ALL you will see the hand in the room for the quest in your random secret. These are also technically dailies!

NOTE: You only need TWO of these (instead of 5) to have this completed and have the perk purchasable, however, each character has their own quest rather than the game remembering the difficulty level you LAST did. So if you start it on a character, finish it!

A Pet And A Mount

Yes, there is a pet and yes, there is a mount that you can unlock by running in the Infinite Archive!  There are trophies that you can unlock once a day with your daily quest from the main quest NPC at the starting door, and sometimes on the weekly vendor, you can buy multiples of those.  Stack your money in this arena and you can get there in no time.  If not, keep spamming those dailies! The Daily Quest requires you to go to the end of the FIRST arc in order to get your prize and box of money! So not TOO stressful. At least not as bad as Inkslayer!

The Bosses

That was all the boring stuff.  Now to get to the stuff you are here for – the bosses!  There are loads!  Now according to Finn, he said there are between 60 and 70. In the video, we have 64 alongside the secret boss and the 3 Marauders!  However, this guide will constantly be updated with NEW bosses as and when new ones are added! So keep coming back for the NEW stuff!

NOTE: They are completely random! You might get a mud crab or you might get a VMOL boss.  Who knows?

Marauders!!

You are NOT ready for these, and that’s kind of the point! After arc ONE is completed, ONCE per arc, you will RANDOMLY during ANY trash round and have a Marauder spawn in the room. And he is coming for YOU!! If you kill him, you get a verse consumable (one you can use once per cycle) and some loot, including gear and currency for the Infinite Archive. If you die, he leaves for now, and you lose a thread and start the round again. There are THREE in total currently (December 2023) but that’s not to say there will not be MORE in the future. BEWARE! If you ever wanted to be SCARED in The Elder Scrolls Online…you should have been careful what you wished for!

GOOD LUCK!

Team up with a trusted ally or go it solo as you battle through waves of monsters and powerful bosses in randomly generated encounters.

Climb the leaderboards and contend with ever-greater challenges as you progress through an eternal arena where no two expeditions are the same.

Earn a host of in-game rewards, including one-of-a-kind collectibles, achievements, and all-new Class Set items, found only in the Infinite Archive!

The Margins of Ire

Tho’at Replicanum is creating enemies of ink from books in the Endless Archive.  Master Malkhest has a plan to summon Tho’at Replicanum, but he needs my help to track down the pieces of her nymic and defeat her.

Master Malkhest said our best lead to finding Tho’at Replicanum and her nymic is by following the maligraphies.  He also said they attacked him, so I should be prepared for a fight.

Completing The Margins of Ire

As you progress through the Infinite Archive, you will be rewarded with the ‘pieces’ needed.  Once you have acquired three, you continue in the Infinite Archive and Tho’at Replicanum will eventually appear.  This has taken a while and also has happened very quickly.  Speak to Master Malkhest to complete the quest and you will be rewarded with gold and a Class Set armor piece.

The Marauders

After Arc 1 is completed. RANDOMLY in ANY trash round PER Arc, ANY Marauder can enter the fight in the first wave. You have two options. LIVE or DIE. If you kill it, you get gear, loot, money, and a consumable mystery verse, If you die, it despawns. Either way, win or lose you won’t see another one until the next Arc. BUT remember, if you die, it’s “bye-bye thread”.

TIPS:

Since they spawn in the first wave of 3, it is EXTREMELY difficult to manage vs the adds because if you KILL them all, the next wave triggers and so on! SO you have two options. Manage your survival while the Marauder is in the room and kill wave after wave until they are all dead then fight him, you vs him! OR keep ONE enemy alive in the first wave at RANGE so you don’t accidentally kill it. That way it’s almost YOU vs HIM and you don’t accidentally trigger the next wave to make it easier.

Another tip is regarding Mystery Verses. These are consumables. You can use ONE offensive, utility, or defensive one per CYCLE. Here is the strategy. Basically HOLD on to it. DON’T one at all. Until one of two things happens…

IF you get to a boss and you have NOT seen a Marauder yet, it’s the end of the cycle. Pop one on the boss.  BUT If a Marauder spawns in rounds BEFORE the boss, pop a defensive one ASAP. You won’t now have one on the boss, but at least you have a CHANCE to protect yourself from the Marauder.

So hold those consumables until sh*t hits the fan basically. And if it doesn’t, that’s a free bonus for a boss fight!

Marauder Gothmau

Marauder Gothmau as you MAY know on LIVE stream as “F**ky Mc Four Arms” or “FMFA”. THIS boss is HELL! Some people may be able to face tank him if they are built to be a STRONG tank, a DPS build however, will most definitely will NOT!

Mechanics

The SAFEST way to fight this guy is to KITE him! Stay OUT of his reach, but be warned, ONE of his attacks will still reach you!

So basically in order, he has a SWING and then a SECOND SWING, followed by a heavy attack. If these were dodged, or avoided in anyway, well done…NOW get ready for the throwing axe to the back of the head. Dodge or block that and you’re good. get some distance and he will have to catch you to repeat the process (demonstrated in the video). He will occasionally spin into a whirlwind-type attack in YOUR direction, but you can step out of this giving you room to walk around him and gain distance, and sometimes he will cast fire winds, which again, is a channel and gives you time to move.

Bear in mind, while the above are all avoidable mechanics, you will nuke your stamina dodging all the time, so practice is key here as is luck!

keep your distance, don’t let him touch you, take your time, and pace it. PANIC will kill you. 100% guaranteed.  ONE light attack will basically kill you unless you have rapid heals, high damage shields, and big resistances because his bleed that comes from it, is basically two ticks and done!

Biggest tip for this boss outside of kiting him and using your agility to your advantage while not being hit? PRAY.  He is the MOST feared enemy in the Elder Scrolls Online. FACT!

Marauder Hilkarax

Marauder Hilkarax is who we refer to on stream as “Windy B*llocks”, he can make the WHOLE room hate you. So watch your feet!

Mechanics

Outside of his light and heavy attacks which should be blocked or dodge rolled, this boss does TWO major different attacks.  The first one is a Geyser that he spawns that spits a large fast-moving circular aoe in front of him. When he does this, simply stand out of his face and let it pass.

The second major mechanic is he will spin in the air and fill the room with multiple winds that spin all over the place. You need to watch your feet and avoid them. BUT look carefully at his feet. Where he CASTS this, there is a very slow-moving wind that moves around in a circle. Stay close to him and don’t let this touch you. if you do this you can basically follow it around and not take any damage. When he does it again, now he will have two, and so on. When it gets TOO MUCH, and you NEED to move….move a LONG way away to a different spot in the room and then fight him there instead. The other winds will continue but they are nowhere near you so it is now a fresh start. Stay HERE now until it gets too much and move again. Rinse repeat.

In larger rooms, this becomes much easier, but in small rooms, it is very tricky.  Bear in mind, however, his lights and heavies ARE hard-hitting so some people may prefer to kite him, but you are going to have to really watch your feet placement. it gets very dramatic.

He’s not easy! Spacial awareness is KEY!

Marauder Ulmor

Marauder Ulmor is on stream known as “WATER BOY!” You guessed it, that’s HIS element!

Mechanics

This boss is MOSTLY a melee target. he has fast-paced light attacks and a BIG heavy attack that needs to be blocked, If you cannot take the hits you may need to opt to kite him but he IS fairly fast. BUT you have moments to take advantage of his “stand still” phases. BOTH of these are similar. He hovers and BURSTS with a HUGE aoe which you can block, carefully dodge, or get OUT of. TWO mechanics are like this, one is an explosion the other is a wave but both are just BIG circles.

if you are kiting him, stay out of it and hit him while he is channeling. if you are face-tanking him, MAKE SURE you block/dodge or get out of it. Else it IS a one-shot!

This is arguably the easiest one of the 3 Marauders but he is still more than capable of deleting players!

GOOD LUCK!

Infinite Archive Boss Mechanics

Need specific info?  Click these quick links to go directly to each section.

Allene Pellingare

Allene Pellingare is a Breton noble that can be found in Wayrest Sewers I on both normal and veteran difficulty.

Mechanics

Her mechanics are relatively similar to that of the original but she has been slightly altered for the Infinite Archive.

She has a very nasty heavy attack that you need to block or apply a well-placed dodge roll, and during the fight, she will vanish and spawn bat enemies. Kill the bats and she will come back in again, but be warned, when she comes back in she teleport strikes or heavy attacks from stealth if she feels like it, so be ready to block!

Don’t run away from her, she will teleport and strike you. Be brave. Fight her toe to toe!

Ash Titan

Ash Titan is a daedric titan that can be found in City of Ash II, Maelstrom Arena, and a mini version in Rockgrove.

Mechanics

This guy has some rather nasty mechanics! He will fire off melee attacks which can be blocked but do hit quite hard, and if you try to out range him he will spit at you instead. So distance is really up to you, but be prepared to take damage none the less.

He will sometimes squat and fire off a tail whip, this WILL knock you over so be sure you block the impact or outrange it!

During the fight, he will cast HUGE firewalls that you can either block or step in and out of where the gaps are if you are careful, but you do not want to be standing in this or getting hit by too many. They will make short work of you.

Speaking of “short work”…he will occasionally spit into the air and rain down fireballs. THESE are LOCKED onto players. You have 2 major choices here. You can dodge a few here and there but watch your stamina since you will get fatigued and dodge will be too expensive, or you can BLOCK and mitigate the damage. Above all, you are going to need heals. At later arcs, these are ONE SHOTS!

Barbas

Barbas is a shape-shifting Daedra that can be found in Reaper’s March.

Mechanics

This boss is from several places in the Elder Scrolls Online, mostly tied to the Main and sub-stories surrounding Morrowind. But he has made an appearance in the endless archive as a relatively simple boss. At least in the early stages.

he has a few light attacks that deal moderate damage and a heavy attack that needs to be blocked. During the fight, he will fling around random aoes that you need to keep your feet out of and then for periods of time he will channel in the middle of the room dealing damage while trying to recover in what i call his “Vivec Squat” where he hovers in the air.

This is REALLY just a free damage period. Watch your feet, keep up your heals, and slap him in the back of the face! One of the simpler bosses of the Infinite Archive.

TIP: Stay CLOSE! Being a long way away will just make him jump all over the place!

Baron Zaudrus

Baron Zauudrus is a Haocrel chieftain that can be found in The Cauldron.

Mechanics

Baron Zauudrus is known on my channel as ‘VALKYN PANTS!’ because…well, look at him! Anyway, the mechanics here are similar to that of the Dungeon version of the boss with some slight alterations.

His heavy attack needs to be blocked or dodged, but bear in mind it’s a HUGE wind up so timing is key. During the fight, he will spawn rocks in the room, much like the main fight when these explode/die adds will spawn from them. These are small but they need to be dealt with.
He will cast a LARGE lava aoe under players occasionally. These must be avoided, standing in them for too long will delete you in a few seconds.

His lighting cleave cannot be avoided as a solo player, so it is coming! But the after effect even if blocked or dodged is that you will have an aoe attached to YOU doing lightning damage to anyone caught in it, you included. So if you are a duo DON’T stack these.

And finally the fire dance! There will be 4x walls of fire in the room, rotating SLOWLY. Erm…don’t TOUCH! That’s IT DON’T TOUCH!

Bittergreen the Wild

Bittergreen the Wild is a giant guar that can be found at Caravan Crest in Deshaan.

Mechanics

This is a pretty formidable world boss for most players in Deshaan, however, here he is simplified to fit inside the small space. He will still occasionally spawn Spriggans who will protect him, these need to be killed and if they are channeling, be sure to interrupt them.

Above all watch out for his face. If he heavy attacks you need to block or dodge roll. And if he does a skip/jump in the air, you have about half a second to react to his 3 spitting aoes that come out from in front of him. These hit pretty hard and knock you BACK.

Be sure to either block these OR try to dodge them. Taking full damage at later arcs will be pretty embarrassing for you! Yes, you will die!

Caluurion

Caluurion is a lich that can be found in Fang Lair.

Mechanics

Can we take a moment to acknowledge how COOL this boss is? Ok, enough of that! This boss is pretty much identical to that of the one in Fang Lair, with a couple of alterations to make sense of the space. In the video, the totems were not present but there was an update that introduced them. So much like the original fight, the totems correspond to the skeletons that spawn. The skeletons must die, but if you get overwhelmed and the boss becomes Immune, you have too many and the totems are responsible for it. Kill the totems.

In early arcs, you won’t even have to deal with this, but LATER you will. So note them at least when you are in there in case this happens to be one of the unfortunate bosses you face when you are REALLY good at the Infinite Archive!

Outside of that, avoid all lich crystals and aoes. Pretty much everything in this fight is on the ground. So don’t run around like a lunatic, STAY out of STUPID! That is all!

Canonreeve Oraneth

Canonreee Oraneth is a wood elf that can be found in Elden Hollow I.

Mechanics

The mechanics are relatively straightforward.  She does light attacks and heavy attacks that need to be blocked or avoided. If she channels at a player they need to activate a well-placed dodge roll, or else she will hit them with long-duration poison damage over time!

Apart from that she will sometimes spawn a circle on the ground under the player’s feet. This is an attempt to pull them into the ground. Avoid this but if you get caught break free fast and get out of the way. Skeletons are coming out of it! They will die fast but they need to be dealt with. As with all bosses, the later the arc the harder they are!

Captain Blackheart

Captain Blackheart is an undead that can be found in Blackheart Haven.

Mechanics

Captain Blackheart is a very cool yet simple boss. He has heavy attacks which should be blocked and/or dodge rolled, and he will also gap closer bash from across the room if you are a scaredy cat! So don’t run away. I know people would worry about his 30-second skeleton form debuff? BUT don’t worry. That form IS in this fight, however, it is not 30 seconds. It is a stun! Break free, and it’s all gone!

it doesn’t get any more complex than that, however, arc 6+, be ready to rethink your survival.  He hits HARD!

Councilor Vandacia

Councilor Vandacia is an Imperial that can be found in Blackwood.

Mechanics

This boss is a little tricky when he gets to lower health as it escalates a bit but the main focus should be on YOUR feet and HIS attacks when he channels. There are two separate ones. They both look very similar. One of his major channel abilities will have red sparks coming out. Interrupt this else you are getting a meteor from space on your head!

The other channel cannot be interrupted and you need to get out of the middle before he blows up and kills you.

Outside of that, watch his heavy attacks and block/dodge them, and stay OUT of the fire aoes on the ground. He will fire these randomly throughout the fight.

Also, he will spawn atronachs in the room (flame atronachs) you don’t have to kill these, they will explode anyway but stay AWAY when they explode… because…erm…you go  BOOM!?

And finally JEFF!! Yes he calls a ghost Jeff (Daedroth) out of the ground and breathes fire in your face! This is simple…STAY OUT OF IT!

To simplify, stay out of the fire, interrupt the meteor mechanic, and if you fail it, block it.

Cynhamoth

Cynhamoth is a harvester that can be found in Coldharbour.

Mechanics

I hate harvesters. They are not a friend of mine to be fair.  I can’t stand harvesters especially not in Imperial City Prison.  Her mechanics are pretty simple though. Basically, it’s a dance, stand in front of her until she channels. Then when she channels, move to the side. She will cast 3 fast-moving aoes in front of her. Once they are gone, stand back in front of her again. If you get hit by them, however, you will be knocked back and they REALLY hurt. So watch your feet.

During the fight, she will also spawn orbs around the room (feasts) that will eventually heal her. Don’t let them get to her! Kill them beforehand!  As simple as she is, people do fail a lot, so again, watch your feet, and if you think her small or heavy attacks will kill you, avoid them, or BLOCK them!

Death’s Leviathan

Death’s Leviathan is a bone colossus that can be found in Crypt of Hearts I.

Mechanics

Death’s Leviathan is simple. Have your BACK to the location you want to fight him at. He will charge straight through you and stop at the edge. Every time he charges, it will be in YOUR direction. So plant your feet, and move when he runs. Like a bullfight! Outside of that, when he STOPS, get OUT of it.  The fight only differs at low health. At low health, he will turn his charge and stop into FIRE aoes. Don’t stand in them!

Doylemish Ironheart

Doylemish Ironheart is a gargoyle that can be found in Scalecaller Peak.

Mechanics

Doylemish is a tricky one! This guy in the original dungeon he belongs to has some rather nasty mechanics that will STUN you and require a teammate to break you free or you die. THOSE don’t technically exist, but their presence is there! The stun is caused by ground aoes and lasers that chase you. The lasers and aoes are here, you MUST avoid them. Instead of stunning you, they will slow you down, damage you rapidly over time, and also in some cases prevent you from casting. DO NOT stand in it. This is a VERY fast-moving and mobile fight.

All those times I told you “don’t dance?” Forget everything I said. MOVE your feet or die!  While all this is going on and it WILL get more dramatic the longer the fight, two very crucial things to note.
Adds will spawn that need to die. And the boss will attempt from time to time to heavy attack you, when he does this you need to BLOCK or dodge roll it. If you get hit by the full force of it, you’re pretty much dead!

SO move your feet, kill adds, and block/dodge the heavy. The trick to this fight is resource management. So if you cannot maintain your stamina, for cc and evasion, it’s over. So, pace!

Exarch Kraglen

Exarch Kraglen is a werewolf behemoth that can be found in Stone Garden.

Mechanics

Werewolves as cool as they are, are not to be messed with. Especially this one.  He has similar mechanics to that of the Stone Garden variant but not the hard-mode stuff. No energy drain or anything BUT he hits HARD!

You will need to avoid his flurry via a bock or dodge roll, this is his channeled heavy attack. IF you are too far away occasionally he will charge at you and finish with a knockdown smash. So avoid running away. BUT if you are solo, you’re getting it anyway, so be ready to dodge/block it. When he rages he will throw you backward, this can be mitigated with a block but not avoided. When you are down, break free and run to him fast! You need to interrupt him before his damage over time from his roaring kills you.

Simply put, get up and BASH asap! This like Doleymish is an endurance test. Watch your stamina and don’t get caught in his aoes.

Garron the Returned

Garron the Returned is a lich that can be found in Wayrest Sewers II.

Mechanics

One of those bosses that people look at and underestimate, you will learn fast in here not to do that!  His basic light attacks and ground aoes are fairly easy to avoid so watch your feet and if the direct hits are too strong, simply block them, however during the fight there are two phases you need to watch out for.

He will spawn lich crystals! While you DO need to avoid these, at the same time they will release ghosts! KILL THESE GHOSTS! If you don’t kill them, their attacks will kill YOU. They fire wind magic at players fast-paced and dangerous. If you don’t deal with them you will get overwhelmed by multiple spawns so be sure these are the priority over the boss.

The other dangerous mechanic is his drain! He will drain health from players at a rapid rate! You will need some serious heals for this so be prepared!

Ghemvas the Harbinger

Ghemvas the Harbinger is a runiach that can be found in Blackwood.

Mechanics

This boss is a TRICKY ONE, very Similar to that of the last boss in Dread Cellar. While this will flurry from time to time with fast channelling heavy attacks which need to be blocked! He will also cast flaming whirlwinds around him, which you should avoid at all costs! He will also cast fireball attacks and throw axes at you from range. These can be dodged, blocked or damage shielded against but he DOES hit hard! His light and heavy attacks cause VERY large short duration bleeds, and YES they stack, so watch your health and bring plenty of heals! OR completely avoid the attacks.

When he channels and there is a large red/flaming circler under him and a beam aimed at you, you are about to receive a fire damage over time effect BUT first he will hit you with a wave. If well timed, the wave damage can be blocked or dodge rolled, but the dot will hit you either way. So be sure to have sufficient healing.

Around the half health mark he will sit down inside a bubble, and be completely immune from all damage. During this time there are 4x oblivion portals and CONSTANT pulsing damage throughout the room. You must kill all 4 portals to stop the damage, and break his shield.

Once over, he will repeat all previous mechanics, BUT he now is more comfortable staying in the middle of the room. So while you can still mitigate and/or avoid his attacks, you CAN fight him from range at this stage and avoid any heavy attack bleeds!

BUT how you fight him is up to you. Just be sure to watch your feet, and keep up your heals!

Glemyos Wildhorn

Glemyos Wildhorn is a faun that can be found in High Isle.

Mechanics

This is quite a mobile fight. He jumps around all over the place so be ready for some fast thinking as he teleports around and tries to hit you in the back of the face. MOST of his mechanics can be blocked so if he is charging at you, be ready to buff up that mitigation and suck up the hit OR dodge roll.

During the fight he will spawn two Indriks, these both have the same frontal mind blast as the ones from the world boss, so they need to be interrupted and killed. While they are alive they apply a damage shield to the boss, so don’t bother weighing into the boss right now. Kill the adds!

The boss will occasionally root players with vines, so be sure to dodge or break from those, and he will spin throwing small aoes around the room. Simply DON’T stand in these. He is fast, hits, hard, and has some serious survival, so be careful and pace the fight!

Grothdarr

Grothdarr is a flesh atronach that can be found in Vaults of Madness.

Mechanics

I’ll start as I mean to go on, THIS IS NO JOKE! Grothdar has a MASSIVE rework for THIS arena. He has never been so scary! he has the same visual effect to his frontal Cleave in that even BLOCKED you will still be knocked down, and his heavy attack must be blocked. However, he will FILL the room with fire!

From the very center, he will spawn a lava pool which you must avoid at all times. He will launch fireballs into the air which will land on the ground and you must avoid, and he will also have small circling aoes that spread fire all around the room.

This fight you have to be on your feet! You need to keep moving and be sure to never stand in ANY fire!  Later arcs even his light attacks will hurt and almost all the fire will burn for damage over time.

Watch YOUR FEET!

High Kinlord Rilis

High Kinlord Rilis is an altmer spirit found in Banished Cells I and Banished Cells II.

Mechanics

This version of Rillis is actually BOTH versions of the bosses all in ONE! So you have to watch out for ALL of the mechanics in the same fight. His heavy attack is a LONG wind-up but needs to be blocked, his fireball attack needs to also be blocked else you will get knocked over. During the fight, he will spawn feasts (orbs) and JEFF! (daedroths). You need to be sure to kill the adds, or else you will get overwhelmed while watching for their fire attacks that stun/knockback, at the same time as killing the feasts so they don’t reach the boss and heal him.

When he channels with his sword in the air he will place multiple fire aoes under the player’s feet so be sure to move out of those until he is finished channeling. And finally one of the most FAILED mechanics in version II of the original dungeon…The BUBBLES!!!

When the boss is squatting like he is casting a spell, he is picking a player. When he has decided whom he is choosing he will throw them up into the air! They will be inside a bubble and then land on the ground! The bubble will be RED or BLUE. Which means, you need to look around the room. Look for a beam/pad/location that is the SAME as the bubble you have. If you make it, you will cleanse it and live. If you don’t you will take rapid damage over time and die.

SO, kill adds, watch feet, block heavy, cleanse curse bubble! Easy right? Good luck!

Iceheart

Iceheart is a frost atronach that can be found in Direfrost Keep.

Mechanics

This boss is almost identical to that of the dungeon version. Watch out for his light and heavy attacks and block them as and when. He will occasionally fire off a frontal cleave which can be blocked OR you can step to one side (it will knock you down if not), and then watch for his BIG STOMP! If you stand in that when he slams his foot down, you are likely to die. After the stomp, he will summon multiple skeletons from ice pillars on the ground. Kill these skeletons asap, you do not want to be overwhelmed.

Kjarg the Tuskscraper

Kjarg the Tuskscraper is a giant that can be found in Icereach.

Mechanics

This boss is almost identical to the one from the original dungeon, but with a SLIGHT twist to it when it comes to the Ice atronachs. Basically, this boss has some fairly light attacks with a nasty heavy that you must avoid. he will summon a wind in the room in order to kill a player, this will chase you or another player and you must keep moving to prevent it from hitting you or you will take damage over time very fast! During the fight, he will enrage and glow red. When this happens he will hit HARDER but you can hit HIM harder, so it works both ways really. Be careful though, one shots are common! Just as he enrages he will fear you so be ready to break free.

During the fight, he will summon Ice atronachs. While they are slowly summoned into the room you can take the boss over to it and face it in its direction.  If the boss heavy attacks, the SAME big aoe effect will pop when it lands BUT it will KILL the atronach before it spawns.

In the dungeon, if you FAIL you have to kill it yourself, however in here, if you fail to splat it, you CAN kill it by applying the same strategy above WHEN it is alive! So either way you can make the boss kill it.

Kra’gh the Dreugh King

Kra’gh the Dreugh King is a dreugh that can be found in Fungal Grotto I.

Mechanics

Laughed about this boss “killing noobs” before? Laugh it up! This guy gets more and more difficult! So if you’re good at the Infinite Archive, see if he is as easy as you remember in arc 10+! Anyway, this boss has all of his basic mechanics intact with a couple of twists to damage output. He has his flurrying attack which needs to be blocked, a LONG wound-up heavy attack that needs to be blocked else you get knocked down, and a BIG POP aoe!

That big pop does NOT hit as hard as the dungeon version to start with but learn early. You do NOT want to be standing in that! Bear in mind he does sometimes dig into the ground, when he does this, loads of mud crabs come out and you need to kill them! While they may be trivial to start with, later they get MUCH harder with more health and more damage!

Laatvulon

Laatvulon is a dragon located in Southern Elsweyr.

Mechanics

I know I know, I hear you…he SUCKS! So let’s get to the juicy stuff, shall we? The mechanics are not THAT hard to follow, but they HIT with one-shots! Which is far more than “frustrating”.

So basically, he has a heavy attack/dragon shout. This is easy to spot, he is SHOUTING! When he does this block it until it is over. You can technically dodge it but that’s tricky and almost up to you.

Any of his other attacks can pretty much be blocked until he is around half health and then he will fly up into the air. He will surround the edges with wind so you cannot touch it and then ice atronachs will spawn. You need to kill this while avoiding the ice on the ground.

Here is the BIGGEST tip you will ever get for this boss and it takes some serious timing. He will come in with his LAKE TOWN type mechanic where he does an ice breath fly by freezing the ground. Getting in the way of it or STANDING in any of the leftover ice WILL kill you. Even if you are a tank. He will do TWO flybys one after the other and THEN land again.

YOU need to SURVIVE this. So, while the adds are distracting you, EYES ON THE SKY! WATCH his path, he is aiming at YOU and will always go straight for you. What you need to do is, JUST as he is lining up his shot, get OUT OF THE WAY! Go either LEFT or RIGHT, not backward, not forwards (that will put you in the ice) you need to be at the SIDE of the path. Once you are successful, get ready for the second one and do it again! This will take some practice, so patience is key! Failure is death,

When he lands he will spawn ice atronachs one at a time but any that were not killed will be left over. His mechanics are now the same as they were to start with but with the adds in the room. Focus the adds while blocking the shouts and take your time on the boss. there is no DPS check!

NOTE: If you have the ability to use BIG damage shields, BIG heals, survival ultimates/shields like Magma Shell, Gibbering Shield, or Barrier, these and other skills can help a LOT.

Final note! NEVER stand BESIDE a dragon, they wing flap you! WEEEEE dead.

Good luck on this one!

Lady Belain

Lady Belain is a Breton that can be found in The Reach.

Mechanics

This boss is crazy tricky! She has heavy attacks that need to be blocked but she will place a location marker at the same time and charge at it, so watch your feet! Also, she will place negative aoes on the floor which you must avoid. She hits pretty hard so be careful with your resources as you WILL need to block a lot and heal out the damage taken.

At around half health she will fly into the air casting constant shots of aoe on the floor at your feet trying to catch you out. Keep moving! At the same time, she spawns multiple adds around the room channeling damage to you. Be sure to kill these asap, she is going to land on a timer whether you have killed them all or not, so you don’t want HER and those at the same time if you can help it.

When she comes back down she turns the floor into a TOTAL mess. Summoning spirit like vampires into the room. These appear and cast FAST hard-hitting lines across the room, making the floor look like a noughts and crosses game. If you get CAUGHT in any, you WILL die.

All I can say at this point apart from paying attention to the BASE mechanics, is …watch your feet, and pray!

I’m not going to sugarcoat this one, it’s a ROUGH mechanic!

Lady Thorn

Lady Thorn is a high elf vampire lord that can be found in Castle Thorn.

Mechanics

This boss starts off with a couple of basic attacks with a little flare to it. Basically, when she applies a heavy attack you need to block or get knocked over, but when she does her charging attack she will actually cause a big spreading aoe when she jumps at it. So whenever you see that, simply get out of the way. During the fight, she will disappear after a floating spin, and then a BIG aoe will appear with zombies coming out, kill the zombies and avoid that aoe at all costs. During this time smaller aoes are coming out and again, avoid those.

AFTER the aoe phase is over, she will teleport out of it and uppercut a player, be sure to block this or dodge roll it. It’s a one-shot to a squishy if you mess it up.

She then repeats her basic attacks and charges until about half health. She will fly into the air shooting from the sky throwing aoes all over the room. A little dance to avoid these is fine for now until she is finished and then a LIGHT circle will appear in the room.

Get in it quickly! Much like the dungeon version, THIS is the only way to live. The rest of the room will kill you, always stay in the light. You now have to kill 4x scamps and take their synergy to throw at HER. 4x successful hits will break the phase and you can fight her again as normal. During this phase, however, she will do rapid flybys trying to knock you over time and time again, be sure to dodge or block these attacks.

There is no DPS check so take as long as you like but WATCH your feet! This is a mobile fight!

Limenauruus

Limenauruus is a giant minotaur that can be found in Gold Coast.

Mechanics

BIG BOI! This boss glows red and hits HARD! While he doesn’t have too many complex mechanics they do hit hard! So firstly his heavy attack slam to the ground needs to be dodged and/or blocked! Failure to do so will end your thread! He will one-shot you if you are past arc 3! When he charges at you be sure to get OUT of the way! This is a lock on so you will have to dodge it! And above all, when he is low health he will slam the ground repeatedly causing rocks to fall from the sky repeatedly. When this happens, keep moving your feet in a coordinated fashion to avoid the falling rocks. Don’t just run in circles you will get HIT! Avoid the AOEs!

Lord Warden Dusk

Lord Warden Dusk is a grievous twilight that can be found in Imperial City Prison.

Mechanics

This boss is pretty much the same as the original but it has been mildly altered to allow for this room and its space.  Generally, he will fire off light attacks and a teleport strike-type heavy attack. Avoid and/or block those.

During the fight, he will spawn orbs into the room with an aoe around them. Don’t stand near these as they will snare you and health drain you. At the same time throughout the fight, he will be summoning down meteors. You can avoid these or simply block their damage. Watch out for your stamina sustainability though. Too much dodging is unnecessary!

At TWO phases in the fight, mid-health and low health he will disappear and spawn 4x shadows around the room. Be sure to kill the shadows asap and then once they are dead he will respawn. BE warned, however, while this is not a DPS check for the BOSS, if you take TOO long, the shades will overlap.

If you take a LONG time to kill the boss, the shades mechanic will repeat at low health but you can simply repeat it as many times as needed until he is dead. HE doesn’t have a DPS check.

The machine gun mechanic is present here too. The boss will fire off what looks like a machine gun at the player of his choice. Solo this is of course ONE target. DUO it is ONE target BUT the other player can physically get in the way of it! Whomever the target is can block the damage but again, if you have someone willing to get in the way (perhaps a tank) you can hide behind them.

And finally the BIG BOOM! The boss throughout the fight will spawn big circles of white swirling madness. AVOID THEM. Maintain all the above mechanics above UNTIL he starts flying.

The second he starts flying, jump in a portal EACH, and when you are falling, take the synergy on the way down to avoid dying.  If you do this, you will live. If you fail he will one-shot you! Portals are one per person so be careful!

Molag Kena

Molag Kena is a Xivkyn that can be found in the White-Gold Tower.

Mechanics

It was so refreshing to see this boss again in different content, but it doesn’t make her any less dangerous! She has been adapted for the arena! So why she has similar mechanics SOME are a LITTLE different.

First of all the spinning lightning effect is still here, the easiest way to AVOID IT is to hover around the MIDDLE of the room. Yes the MIDDLE, not the sides, not the edge, the MIDDLE. If you do this, you can move around WITH the lightning and hardly use any space. If you go to the outside, you have to run faster and you will die. Stay central.

When she fires her HUGE wind effect in a cone in front of her, be sure to block it! Or get out of it quick (note: the hitbox is a bit OFF so you have to be WAY out of it) else it will knock you back.

Be sure to block her heavy attack when she is channeling, and when the Atronachs spawn, be sure to primary them! They MUST die! Do not worry, however, they don’t one-shot you with a single touch like they do in the dungeon. So take your time. Be warned, however, on entry they land in an aoe splash which CAN stun. So watch your feet.

Mid-health she starts a repeating mechanic where she is in the middle 100% immune to all damage while being protected by 4 minions. These 4 must die. She cannot be attacked until they are dead and the whole time there are pulsing lightning aoes coming from her, which you must avoid or protect against.

NOTE! The adds are not strictly a DPS check. if you fail she WILL restart the phase and you will have a SHORT window to do damage before she goes back to it. So be sure to focus the adds as soon as you can to make it a faster fight.

ONE more thing. Occasionally she will float and channel in the middle of the room. GET OUT of the AOE. When it goes boom, so do you! OFF  the map!

Mulaamnir

Mulaamnir is a blue dragon that can be found in Northern Elsweyr.

Mechanics

This Dragon is actually pretty straightforward, similar to the ICE Dragon but less punishing with the fly-by.

To start with he will heavy attack and Fus Ro Dah, which can be blocked but occasionally he will fire his breath. His breath is a CONSTANT electrical charge channel, and you need to be blocking this if you are the target. Be warned the blocking of this will EAT stamina!

He has a constant lightning circle under him so much like other dragons, NEVER stand under them! Also as with ALL dragons NEVER stand beside them! Face-tank it. If you are on its side you WILL get wing flapped and you will be flying off of the edge!

Once the dragon hits half health or so, he will fly up into the air and do TWO fly-bys firing lightning in a straight line, channeling his inner “Lake Town”. Unlike the ice dragon, this is not a ROOM full of death, the lightning splits into multiple smaller shocking aoes that can be walked between and avoided. However, during this phase, there are also two LARGE moving lightning circles. Avoid those and you will be fine.

There will be Storm Atronachs at this stage too. If you kill them, great. If not, you will be fighting them AND the dragon when he lands.  After he lands, he will spawn one atronach over and over and over until he is dead. So focus on the add, hit the boss, rinse repeat.

Murklight

Murklight is a lurcher that can be found in Elden Hollow II.

Mechanics

Most people don’t know the mechanics of this fight because if they go in and splat it, they will never see them.  However, in the Infinite Archive, this boss has mechanics SIMILAR to those in the original dungeon but he generally will force them to happen depending on your buffs and bonuses. Basically, he has heavy attacks and a shake attack that will place aoes around the room. Avoid them.

During the fight, the room will go DARK and ONE of the negative aoes on the ground will glow WHITE. When this happens, run to it and stand in it asap. Doing so will make you immune to damage. If you fail, you will take rapid damage over time and die.

Easy!

Nazaray

Nazaray is a spriggan that can be found in Shipwright’s Regret.

Mechanics

Nazaray is a tough one. If you get this early on you are actually LUCKY! You do NOT want to fight her at later arcs! The earlier the better!  Let’s try to simplify this as much as possible!

Her heavy attack is a LONG wind up, she will spin her staff a couple of times and jump attack. Be sure to block this or apply a VERY well-timed dodge roll.

During the fight she will spawn lurchers and bugs as adds, these realistically need to die if you can get them down. The lurcher has some nasty knockback attacks and HUGE cone attacks. So stay out of his face when he is channeling.

The adds and the boss both have their own ground-based aoes that they fire up and land throughout the fight, so be careful with your feet throughout!

When the boss stabs her staff into the ground she will cause vines to spread across the room and glow red. There will be dogs in each corner of the room with spreading AOEs. Kill the dogs opposite each other to create a GAP. Failure to do so will make them explode after a short timer and you will be IN the stupid! Granted at lower arcs you can just block it, but in LATER arcs it will hurt a LOT more!  So get rid of the dogs.

At LOWER health the boss with glow purple. She will have all of the same mechanics she had before, BUT now there will be aoes on the ground that grow and glow. If she stands in them she is immune to all damage…You guessed it! Keep her OUT of them! The fight got a whole lot more mobile!

SO…Avoid aoes, block the heavy (or dodge), kill the adds, kill the dogs before the boom, and keep her out of purple!

Easy right? Practice practice!

Nerien’eth

Nerien’eth is a high elf lich that can be found in Crypt of Hearts II.

Mechanics

This boss actually doesn’t mess about! To start with he is fairly simple. Offers damage in the form of some light attacks and a long wound up heavy attack that fires a skull (block or dodge this). Apart from that, while he channels with his hand in the air, lich crystals with large aoes will come out of the ground. Simply stand OUT of these.

Now the difficult part. At low health, he will reach for the sword on the ground and change to melee attacks. He will have a LARGE damage shield on him while channeling, and then after he will apply charge attacks and heavy attacks that MUST be blocked. if you don’t block or dodge these carefully you are basically dead. His difficulty ramps up at this stage. One of his heavies is almost like a Dawnbreaker, and YES it knocks you down like one too, so don’t get caught out.

NOTE: If you run away, he will gap closer to you. Don’t run!

Old Snagara

Old Snagara is an ancient echatere that can be found in Wrothgar.

Mechanics

Simple world boss with a BIG slap! His cone attacks in front of him can be avoided, don’t get hit by this or you will hit the ground. His shaking mechanic emits an aoe around him which again should be avoided, and his heavy attacks should be blocked.

You can basically fight him on his side or rear most of the time since he channels so much, but watch out if you go too far away, he will run you over.  Simple fight, but be aware, he can catch you out easily.

Prior Thierric Sarazen

Prior Thierric Sarazen is a Breton that can be found in Red Petal Bastion.

Mechanics

This boss is very similar to the dungeon version but is a little simplified. He has two heavy attack types, one can be blocked (the cleave swing) the other (the kick) can be blocked mitigation-wise, but will still knock you back, then cause frontal moving aoes. So BLOCK the cleave but dodge roll THROUGH him when he does the kick. It is usually one after the other, so with a bit of practice you will get used to the rhythm of it.

He will spawn a ghost add, similar to a reflection duplicating his swing attacks, these you will have to heal through and protect yourself against until it goes away. It’s SMALL damage but extra all the same.

The boss will channel with his sword in the ground occasionally (bugged at the moment and he just stands completely still) When you see this, spikes are spawning from under each player repeatedly. Simply kite these and move around in a circle and don’t let them hit you. once he stops channeling, carry on as normal.

During the fight, the boss will sometimes cause the room to be FULL of red spinning swirls, don’t panic. Do not get hit by them of course but these don’t actually move very fast. So they are easy to avoid.

The fight again is incredibly similar to the original fight in the dungeon but simplified so that it feels much slower. BUT you have to watch out for that kick. Fail it, get knocked back, take a second attack, goodbye.

BE careful!

Queen of the Reef

Queen of the Reef is a huge coral crab that can be found in Summerset.

Mechanics

This is a mud crab, that is all.  OK, it does actually have mechanics! Watch out for the heavy attack, it DOES really hurt so this must be blocked. When the boss is channeled into the ground it will eventually bury under it. During this time there will be LOADS of flying Mudcrabs!!! OMG!

During this time, you will need to fight the adds and watch out for the aoes that land. Then afterward he will come back out and start heavy attacking again.  Pretty much rinse repeat. If you can do one phase you can do them all. BUT be warned, later arcs, that heavy is easy to underestimate!

Rada al-Saran

Rada al-Saran is a Redguard vampire elder from Blackreach: Greymoor Caverns.

Mechanics

This boss is a bit of stack and burn for the most part but you must watch out for his heavy attacks. They can hit pretty hard so you should block or dodge them. The rest of the fight he does rotate through a couple of different abilities ONE of which actually makes him immune. So he will jump in the air and land again on your head, you need to block or dodge this, OR step out of the way if you can manage it.

However, when he is immune, he will syphon health from you and multiple blood goo ball things will be walking towards him, while you constantly take damage. You need to kill these to break the immunity he has. However if you don’t kill them and they reach him, they will go BOOM and hit you harder. So the more you can delete the better!

Also during the fight he will channel out blood aoes in all directions, you need to avoid these as much as possible. This boss looks simple, but you need to bring plenty of survival in resistances, and heals!

Ra’khajin

Ra’khajin is a Khajiit that can be found in Southern Elsweyr.

Mechanics

This Nightblade is not SO bad as an individual boss but people do make the mistake of running away a lot. DON’T RUN! It’s a NIGHTBLADE! Running away will literally just prompt him to teleport strike you. So stay close.

When he heavy attacks, or strikes from range, be sure to block it OR dodge it. Outside of the basics he does spin occasionally causing aoes to spray around the room. Just avoid them by moving your feet. Don’t run around aimlessly, and watch out for his steel tornado attack, you will need to block or dodge this!

He is quite straightforward but of course, easier bosses mean more room for error when people get complacent. So as simple as he is, watch for those spins!

Rakkhat

Rakkhat is a dro-m’Athra that can be found in Maw of Lorkhaj.

Mechanics

WHAT a boss! This is one of the most well-designed bosses in the game to date and now we have a SOLO/DUO version!? YES, a lot of his mechanics are in tact with a slight twist.

FIRST of all, gold pad GOOD blue pad BAD! do NOT touch ANY blue pads! You need to be on the gold pad at ALL times that you can, including if you are DUO (which is slightly different from the trial fight) in order to not get one shot by his attacks.

While on the pad NOW you need to follow his mechanics. He has TWO different jump attacks. ONE is a JUMP and LAND heavy attack. THAT is his heavy attack type hit (thrashing wings) where he will basically wing flap you off the end. If you don’t block this, you’re dead or looking for a golden skyshard! (yes, for new players, that is running joke if you end up cliff diving!).

The SECOND jump he will VANISH and then appear on YOUR head on YOUR pad and land ON it! This is a BIG no-no! Get the hell out of there. When he does this he is taking over the pad and turning it blue. Remember “Gold good, Blue bad!”. Once he has claimed this pad you have 3 left.

Repeat the process and go to a new one.  Other mechanics you will encounter during the pad shifts are:

Orbs – These will float around the room coming from the middle, avoid them as much as possible, they do a LOT of damage and you will need active heals or shields.

Meteors – These will land on your head while he is channelling, simply block them or step to the side to avoid them.

Machine gun! – Just like Lord Warden, this will be a rapid-fire magic attack at players he can see. Do what you can to survive here, block, shield, heal etc. Don’t die to it. if you are a duo and someone is ultra squish, if he is CLOSE and aiming at the other(perhaps a tank) the squishy can simply stand behind him during this time and avoid it.

Finally the EXECUTE PHASE…or NOT!?

Technically once all the pads are consumed the boss will land in the middle blue pad. This phase in the Trial is actually execute phase. You have to burn down his health before the timer and he goes BOOM and kills everyone in the face. There are usually orbs around the room to collect to lessen his resists to make it easier.

In here, however, not so much. While he is in the middle you need to burn him as fast as you can before he goes BOOM and THEN!…when he DOES go boom and he WILL…all the pads reset and you go again.

YUP it rotates, it’s not ACTUALLY the end.

HUGE NOTE: At later arcs that “boom” is significantly stronger. SO, bring some BIG mitigation/damage shields etc, and time it WELL, or it’s a guaranteed wipe!

Razor Master Erthas

Razor Master Erthas is a Wood Elf that can be found in City of Ash I.

Mechanics

This boss is REALLY simple. He fires heavy attacks that need to be blocked. He summons Flame atronachs that need to be killed, and he puts fire on the ground that needs to be avoided, easily, and sometimes sticks fire damage over time on the individual he aims at…

Oh, one more thing…

HE HITS LIKE A TRUCK!!!!

Stay close, mind your feet, and kill the adds, but do NOT underestimate him. He MAY be from ye ole City Of Ash I, but they made SURE you “remember where you started” with this boss. He HURTS!

Ri’Atahrashi

Ri’Atahrashi is a pahmar-raht that can be found in Southern Elsweyr.

Mechanics

This Ninja Cat is actually a pretty cool boss with some simple yet dramatic mechanics. Block his basic and heavy attacks, especially his spin kick, and watch for the fire spiral. It’s dramatic, it hurts, but you can get behind it and follow it around in a circle and you’ll be fine.

The one thing you do have to be careful of is his channeled fire spell. There will be a large circle aoe of fire around him with ONE gap…stand in the gap! That’s pretty much it.

Selene

Selene is a changeling priestess who can be found in the Lair of Maarselok.

Mechanics

Do not be fooled by this, this is not Selene as you KNOW her. Much like Rillis, this is a combination of versions of the boss you may have seen before. This is MOSTLY the Lair of Maarselok version! You start fighting HER while she has heavy attacks and teleport abilities you need to block and/or avoid. Then during the fight, the spider and the bear from Maarselok come into the fight!

I would recommend killing them first and THEN dealing with Selene afterward. The spider has HUGE hard-hitting heavy attacks that you need to block, as does the bear. The bear also fears. So in this fight, it is about stamina resource management. Plenty of blocking and breaking free.

In a nutshell, kill the adds, but watch for the heavies and the stuns. When they are dead finish off the boss.

The boss however does have other mechanics to watch. If she is channelling she needs to be interrupted as soon as possible! She normally does this after a teleport to make you chase her down. If you don’t interrupt her then you will take too much damage and die. Dodge roll on the way to her as those attacks are fast but CAN be dodged.

Finally the poison! During the fight, she will channel a cone of poison. This needs to be blocked! It is locked onto the target just like in Asylum Sanctorium! If you move it follows. If you run around in circles solo, you die. Doing it duo? You BOTH die! Block until it is over!

Sentinel Aksalaz

Sentinel Aksalaz is a secret boss that can be found in Black Drake Villa.

Mechanics

This guy has ALMOST the same mechanics as his original version in the dungeon but he is tuned down a bit to allow for balance in this arena. His reverse slice ability can be dodged, but if NOT then you will have an ice damage over time on you. Which does significant damage but can be out-healed in early arcs.

When he puts his sword into the ground, ice will spawn under you repeatedly, simply move out of it until it is finished, this also applies the same ice dot as above.

His heavy attacks should be avoided and/or blocked and any banekins that spawn should be killed or else they fire nasty ice attacks and multiples will kill you quickly.

Watch out for the Meteor! He will channel a meteor which will make a spreading aoe come from YOUR feet. This is attached to you. Simply BLOCK when it lands and you will be fine. if not you will be stunned and potentially killed!

During the fight, he will spawn a random add (sometimes multiples) from the original fight. The Ice atronach, ice indrik, lamenid, and ALL should be focused. They don’t have a lot of health but their ground aoes are no joke. The Indrik has a mind blast that needs interrupting and the ice atro aoe is going to NEED some healing. So a good balance of setups is needed in this fight.

You need to have good stamina sustainability, footwork, and mechanical awareness for 4 different bosses potentially in the same room.  Of course, if you get lucky you can splat him but that depends on how it goes.

One more major mechanic is the ice BOOM! A big channeled AOE in the middle of the room spreads to ALMOST the edges. This is simple. Get completely out of it asap, OR be frozen in ice. If you are frozen, the boss is on his way to come kill you until you are dead! 🙂

So to simplify, dodge the reverse slice or outheal the dot. Avoid aoes, kill adds, block the heavy, and get OUT of the big stupid!

Shadowrend

Shadowrend is a clannfear that can be found in Banished Cells I.

Mechanics

This boss is about as easy as they come. Stay as close as possible. If you run away he will jump on your head and eat you.  When he heavy attacks, (tail whip) block him. When his adds spawn, kill them. Rinse repeat. relax and this is an easy fight. Panic and run? and you are going to be eaten by one real and two ghost raptors all at once!

Sonolia the Matriarch

Sonolia the Matriarch is a lamia that is located in Tempest Island.

Mechanics

This boss is pretty straightforward. She has a heavy attack that needs to be BLOCKED and she also has a frontal cone scream that will knock you backwards and do fairly high damage. You need to stay OUT of her face when she is screaming.

Blocking it WILL mitigate some of the damage but the knockback will still happen so be careful. Keep HIGH health percentages on this because if you are low health then you will most likely die. Constant hots to maintain a full health bar makes all the difference here in case you Do get caught out.

it’s quite a LONG drawn out scream and casting during it is not possible. SO block the heavy and the scream, or try to avoid the scream completely!

Symphony of Blades

Symphony of Blades is an avatar of Meridia’s power that can be found in Depths of Malatar.

Mechanics

This boss does actually have MOST of his mechanics intact but a little different than you would expect considering the construction of the arena/room.

BIG heavy attack needs to be blocked, it’s quite easy to spot! The big spreading AOE under your feet, when it happens, is attached to you. You can hold block to lessen the impact but essentially that is a mechanic that HAS to happen and you simply break free once it is over. HOWEVER that one stacks up a lot later if you don’t kill the adds (coming back to that).

His wicked spin attack, you need to block it and stand still. You can dodge a couple of ticks of it, but essentially this is your defense phase. Stay alive.

During the fight, there are TWO ghost phases that repeat. Number one is the walking wall of death. Adds from all around you will walk closer and closer.

You can do one of three things.
1) Fine a gap and run to it.
2) kill an add and MAKE a gap and run to it
3) stay in the middle they won’t kill you.

They actually pop in the middle eventually if you are ballsy enough BUT the risk is, the boss still has his mechanics, so he COULD spin, while you are stuck in the middle. YOUR call!

The other add phase is when you have red, blue, purple, and yellow adds coming in. They have to die. Each one that does prevents the boss from a buff. Red is meteors, Blue is pillars, Purple is a lightning storm, yellow is a jesus beam and healing debuff. EACH  enemy that lives will give him their respective buff. Each one that does die will prevent it.

So the more buffs he gets the stronger he is, so watch your feet if he gets lightning, it’s dancing feet time!

Going back to the spreading aoe you need to break free from. IF that happens when he is buffed, time a VERY well placed dodge roll

You WILL still get stunned and you will still need to break free but you prevent a one-shot. If he has the lightning and meteor buff, when that POPS he will fire BOTH of those effects at you. If you dodge it, you land stunned BESIDE it, rather than IN it!

THAT tip above is a game-changer for later arcs!

Taupezu Azzida

Taupezu Azzida is a dagonic mantikora that can be found in The Deadlands.

Mechanics

One of the coolest looking bosses in the game! Scared? You should be!

This boss has multiple mechanics that all link together! First of all his heavy attack. Block it or die, pretty simple stuff. Adds-wise he technically has TWO. ONE is a storm atronach. This has the same mechanics as all storm atronachs and should be killed asap so you don’t get multiples. The other is a SHARD. IF you don’t kill that shard, the boss will channel a beam from it with a growing aoe under your feet. When it reaches full size it explodes. You have NO choice but to BLOCK it, OR kill the shard on time. Quite literally sh*t or bust! If you are very tanky, it won’t be a problem, but if you are not, you gotta get those deeps out!

As well as that when he is throwing shards, he also creates very large lightning aoes under his own feet. Awkward as it is, you do NOT want to be standing in this!

So, kill adds, kill shards, block big booms, don’t stand in stupid, block heavies!  I’d love to sugarcoat it, but, he is ROUGH!

The Ascendant Lord

The Ascendant Lord is a mysterious leader that can be found in High Isle.

Mechanics

The Ascendant Lord fight is a BIT of a spoiler for the story BUT yup, he’s from the story! He is a bit more dramatic than he is dangerous. He has a slow-fire channel that he aims in front of him. You can walk AROUND this and completely avoid it.

During the fight, he will put his sword into the ground and 4x cones will fire out with 4 gaps and then they will do the direct opposite where the caps become danger and danger becomes a gap. Simply stand in the safe spots!

Usually after the above, he channels with his sword in the air doing what I call the space invader mechanic, where lots of tiny aoes fly around on the ground and you have to weave in and out of them.

Watch out for his Superman mechanic where he flies into the air, when he comes back down he will land on your head, all you have to do is block it.

HE LOOKS dramatic but he’s quite straightforward as bosses go. This one is designed to be more accessible being a story boss anyway so not so bad until later arcs.

The Endling

The Endling is a chimera that can be found in Galen.

Mechanics

This one is so fun but at the same time very chaotic and challenging especially at later arcs. This boss has major elemental attacks, there is a lightning attack that you can block or dodge, there is a flame breath that you need to block (don’t run around it will follow you), and also an ICE mechanic where the boss spits ice into the air and it lands on the floor making a small wind aoe. Do NOT stand in those, they will slow you down and damage you over time.

Be warned these mechanics do ramp up, they do overlap and you will have to understand each one properly in order to avoid them. Running away will not help as he will chase you but you will have to move your feet a lot in order to avoid the ground aoes.

As well as the 3 major mechanics above you will also occasionally be hit with a swipe-like heavy attack which needs to be dodged or blocked, and there will be a BIG STOMP! When that happens, you MUST get out of it, or you will most likely die.

The boss mechanics are dramatic but repetitive, so once you master the main ones, it doesn’t matter how long it takes you to kill it as it is rinse repeat. BUT bear in mind the longer you take, the more ice will be in the room and the more you will have to manage your location!

The Imperfect

The Imperfect is a factotum that can be found in Clockwork City.

Mechanics

This world boss variant from Clockwork City is actually a pretty fun fight, the mechanics are dramatic and simple at the same time but also punishing if you stand in stupid! The boss will crouch occasionally aiming at the player trying to punch them, with cone effects of damage, one after the other (two shots side by side) be sure to step out of this and avoid it.

Usually after this he will stand up and launch two raptor-type enemies, they will attack with light attacks and tumbling abilities much like that of the mad tinkerer set, they will knock you down so deal with these quickly and don’t get caught by their charges.

Straight after their spawn he will try to focus lightning damage in front of him, and step out of this to avoid being damaged. From here he will have a damage shield of sorts, and while it is present he will fire lightning bolts around the room. These are slow and easy to avoid, so try not to get caught.

There is another crouch attack he does differently from the original and instead of hitting with cone aoes he actually puts his arms up and SPINS! When he does this he will channel multiple lightning effects that will get closer and closer to the boss. Avoid these at all costs or you will take HIGH shock damage!

He will also fly in the air for a short period. When he does this he is coming down with a CRASH! Do not be ANYWHERE near him when this happens!

The Lava Queen

The Lava Queen is a Dark Elf that can be found in the Blessed Crucible.

Mechanics

The Lava Queen is a very straightforward but hits INCREDIBLY hard! She has a slight variation to her dungeon version mechanics, but do NOT underestimate the damage amount that can come from it.

She has a fire dot that she will place on target so you can avoid the shot or use healing over time to out-heal it. As well as that she has a very nasty heavy attack that you must BLOCK or dodgeroll.

The major mechanic you really have to watch out for is her flame spinner! In the dungeon, she puts her sword into the ground and fire emits outwards at the group, in here instead it is a constant spinning, almost ground tornado-type effect on a HUGE scale! Follow this around the room and kite her with it while hitting her. If you STAND in this, you are basically dead. It hits REALLY hard even at low arcs.

So to simplify, bring healing over time, block or dodge the heavy attack, and stay OUT of the fire!!!

The Mage

The Mage is the final boss in Aetherian Archive.

Mechanics

The Mage in the Infinite archive is actually very similar to that of the trial version, but the mechanics have been mildly altered to allow for solo/duo play. So don’t panic about Chain Lightning!

The boss has basic light attacks that do moderate damage, these can be blocked or healed. However, during the fight, these are things you MUST look out for:

Atronachs –  These spawn throughout the fight doing flame damage, dispatch these asap. They are low health vs the boss but they can overwhelm you.

Axes – These do heavy attack, these heavies should be blocked but unlike the boss fight in the trial, these actually have fairly low health and CAN be killed! So do so asap!

Black Holes! – THESE are horrible! If you see a slow-spreading black hole on the ground, get OUT get WAY away from it! Not only will it delete you in a matter of seconds, but it also has a SLIGHTLY funky telegraph. Because it is expanding constantly, it does damage just outside of it not just IN it. So don’t go ANYWHERE near these!

Mines – Small mines on the ground will be cast from time to time. You can avoid these OR block/damage shield and walk into them to POP them. At later rounds you may not want to do this but early on if the room gets too busy that can help!

DEATH NOVA!!! – Yes I’m aware it has a real name but DEATH NOVA sounds cooler! At low health, the boss will call down a MASSIVE death nova from above. DON’T PANIC! All other mechanics will be present and you will take damage over time but this is not a DPS check. All it is is an extra damage over time in the room you have to outheal. JUST like the trial. Again I cannot emphasise enough, do NOT panic. It just looks pretty and adds a dot! Nothing more nothing less. Focus!

The Sable Knight

The Sable Knight is a Soulrazer knight that can be found in Galen & Y’ffre.

Mechanics

Another world boss here! But don’t worry his bark is well…ALL bark. He can hit hard for sure at later arcs but most of his attacks are avoidable.

His first attack is usually a heavy attack. This can be blocked or completely dodged. He will occasionally slam the ground with a small double pop aoe. This again can be easily avoided, and you just need to step out of it. He will also channel with his hand in the air and BURST with aoe damage. THIS can also be avoided by simply stepping back. And finally, he does what looks like the Warrior’s Shield throw attack. Step out of it or block it, or be knocked down and flattened.

Those mechanics will rotate over and over, literally EVERYTHING can be either blocked or avoided. He’s not that bad at all!

The Serpent

The Serpent is the final boss in Sanctum Ophidia.

Mechanics

The serpent DOES actually have a lot of the mechanics from the original fight but it has been mildly altered for solo/duo play. Generally the boss will hit with fast paced light attacks and the odd heavy attack which needs to be blocked or dodge rolled. Apart from that one more major melee attack is the frontal cleave. This again needs to be blocked or dodged. If you are hit full force with this, you’re pretty much dead.

During the fight, there will be GREEN totems in the room. These will tether to the boss and prevent him from taking damage so you will need to kill these. Then EVERY phase after he has had enough of light attacking and heavy attacking he will repeat the POISON PHASE! Which is actually a combination of events. If you follow the mechanics in order you will be fine. If you panic you won’t be.

When the boss teleports to the middle the ROOM will be filled with poison and YOU must survive it and outheal the poison. In the meantime you will get adds, Lamias, or Mantikoras. It’s totally random but those are what you need to look out for. The Lamias can stun you and will explode when they die (so step away when you kill them) and the mantikoras will stomp and apply heavy attacks which need to be BLOCKED. However, if you don’t kill the Manti fast enough it WILL enrage and get stronger. These adds don’t have a lot of health but can be tricky while taking poison damage as it puts you off vs the mechanic you SHOULD be paying attention to…YUP there is more!

DURING your poison and add distraction phase, the boss is actually channeling. The boss will fire off TWO pink orbs into random locations in the room. WATCH where they land and go COLLECT one! If you get there in time, the boss will go BOOM, and the damage shield you picked up will save you. If not. You die.

Repeat the above over and over until it is dead. The mechanics are 100% rinse repeat no matter how long you are there for.

SO in short, block the big stuff, kill the totems. Heal vs poison, kill the adds, pick up pink bubble. That’s it!

Good luck!

The Warrior

The Warrior is the final boss in Hel Ra Citadel.

Mechanics

OH boy…Take a deep breath for a minute on this one before you engage. He is NO joke. Quite frankly one of the scariest enemies in the game, let alone the Infinite Archive! ALMOST all of his mechanics are here! Two massive tips before i start to explain!
1) DO NOT run around the room!
2) Be sure that you have PLENTY of stamina sustainability! Manual or Passively, you are going to NEED IT!

Basically to start with you will see the boss in the middle and MANY adds around the edge of the room. Flame Shapers and Destroyers. Yes, they are the same as the original ones in Hel Ra. The destroyers will cleave and slam you to the ground as well as applying a growing AOE which you must block. If you get knocked down by these you CANNOT break free to get up. You can only get up when the effect ends and CC  immunity means NOTHING! These will ping-pong you around the room and you will die, so you MUST block their attacks. The Flame Shapers generally stay ranged but they will channel constant fireballs, which MUST be interrupted!

These adds come into the fight based on TWO things. If you get too close to them, OR on boss health percentages. So the more damage they do, the sooner they come in. BUT at low health the remaining ones will actually join the fight anyway and you may have to fight MANY at once.

Don’t worry there ARE ways to “thin the ranks” before that happens. This is the BIGGEST TIP you will ever get for this fight! read carefully!

One major boss mechanic is that the boss will throw his shield. This is a mechanic you need to block or get out of before he throws it!
HOWEVER! If you are smart, and you can aim your back in the direction of one of the adds (statue) the shield throw will KILL it! They must be a statue in order for this to work but you CAN take your time on him and kill them one by one before they become active!

Now to explain the rest of the mechanics, yes there are more, and YES they are more dangerous!

The most important one is his 1000 cuts. The boss will flurry at you with several swinging attacks. This is simple, BLOCK IT or die! This hits incredibly hard regardless of how you are built and you need to maintain your stamina a LOT in order to block this. It drains fast but also reapplies FAST. You get a limited amount of time between channels to prepare yourself for the next one. This is the main reason people die.

The second most dangerous mechanic is Starfall. When he is LOW health he will channel his sword in the air and rain down damage. This is locked onto players. You need to outheal it and block the channel while doing so. This is also the phase where all remaining adds join the fight.

For the rest of the fight, he will rotate through shield throw, cleave, 1000 cuts, and starfall.  Block a lot, damage a lot, and heal a lot. This boss is dangerous even at lower arcs and will take some practice to master.

RESPECT the Warrior, or he will delete you!

The Weeping Woman

The Weeping Woman is a nereid that can be found in the Depths of Malatar.

Mechanics

Simple boss fight this one, but she does have some very hard-hitting attacks. Her basic light attacks of frost do actually hurt a lot, so block them or bring significant healing or damage shields to lessen the impact of them. The other mechanics are more obvious but also punishing. Her heavy attack will channel in your direction and then hit you and apply a ground aoe. You can block this OR completely dodge it if you can time it.

She will occasionally cast geysers from under you, you MUST avoid these circles on the ground or you will be stunned and take rapid damage over time. And then there is the BIG BOOM! She will occasionally emit a HUGE aoe (different shapes each time) LOOK for the safe space and stand in it. It will pop first of all and leave ice behind afterward. Do not stand on ANY ice. Your aoe color may disappear but until that ice is gone it is NOT safe. Watch your feet!

And finally the Meteor! She will channel a meteor which will make a spreading aoe come from YOUR feet. This is attached to you. Simply BLOCK when it lands and you will be fine. if not you will be stunned and potentially killed!

The Whisperer

The Whisperer is a spider daedra that can be found in Spindleclutch I.

Mechanics

This boss is as simple as they come generally. She has a big heavy attack that needs to be blocked, she sometimes emits a LARGE spreading aoe from her feet which should be avoided, and she will occasionally physically target a random player. If you spot this, be ready to dodge roll else she will semi-stun you for a couple of seconds while screaming and making you feel like you got Gizmo’d with a REALLY bright light! Be sure to avoid this mechanic to prevent it from being temporarily semi-blinded, but generally, that’s about it.

Block the big stuff, stay out of stupid.

Tremorscale

Tremorscale is a duneripper that can be found in Volenfell.

Mechanics

AWWWW, BLESS HIM! …

Yes, this is a really easy boss. He has a cone effect that should be blocked or avoided else you get knocked down. He burrows under the ground and pops up again with a large circular aoe POP which you should block and avoid.

That’s pretty much it! VERY EASY boss mechanically. Later arcs, however, be careful, he can surprise you and hit a LOT harder!

Valkynaz Nokvroz

Valkynaz Nokvroz is a dremora that can be found in The Deadlands.

Mechanics

This boss is actually quite dramatic.  He doesn’t really hit that hard in the early stage.  He does light and heavy attack a lot and you need to block the BIG ones. He will channel frontal fire attacks quite a lot so realistically you want to stay out of his face if you can help it!

Watch out when he puts his sword into the ground, however. When he does this he is channeling a constant spinning fire attack and its rotational direction is RANDOM, so if you are trying to PREDICT it rather than watch it, it’s literally 50/50. So be careful and follow it around in any of the gaps until it is over.

If you try to stay AWAY from it at range, you CAN do, but you will take constant fireball damage for doing so. The choice is yours. Either way, don’t touch the fire!

During the fight, the boss will cast multiple ground aoes circles of fire at the same time as spawning LOADS of scamps. These are low health so you should focus on them but try not to panic. It does get pretty dramatic and easy to be overwhelmed. Stay close to the boss and stack them all together and find a safe place to stand. Kill the adds, and then carry on with the boss. Sometimes they explode, so watch your feet!

Vila Theran

Vila Theran is the final boss that can be found in Fungal Grotto II.

Mechanics

This boss is quite tricky. As you may have seen her in the original dungeon you MAY underestimate the importance of mechanics. It’s a good job I am here to let you know a simple fact. if you ignore mechanics, you’re dead!

She does NOT mess around in the Infinite Archive. This boss will fire off light attacks that do moderate damage and can be out healed, however, she also teleports to players’ locations x3 before stopping, and when she lands the 3 aoes she places spread and spread doing HUGE damage. very similar to the Mage’s Black Hole mechanic. However, that is the easy part.

The difficult part is her channel.  She will raise her staff and channel a life drain. Remember that bubble in the room that you avoid in the dungeon to achieve the “hard mode”? GET INSIDE THAT BUBBLE!!! Fail and die. It really is as simple as that.

Good luck!

Voidmother Elgroalif

Voidmother Elgroalif is a voidmother that can be found in The Reach.

Mechanics

This boss officially from the overland is very similar to the Vateshran Hollows version, so whichever one you have seen it’s not going to be completely new to you. BUT if you have not seen her she can LOOK a little dramatic. Don’t worry she’s not SO bad.

MOST of the time HER mechanics are not aimed directly at you. She will do some Ninja Yoga on the floor for the majority of the fight, doing some weird possessed being type contortionist stuff on the ground. When she is flipping out doing this breakdance she will cast aoes on the ground with gaps in them. Get in the gaps! It really is that simple.

She will occasionally cast a slow-spreading frontal cone-shaped aoe that does high damage, but all you have to do is step to the side of it. And then sometimes she will cast a HUGE aoe in the room which will blow up when it reaches max size. BLOCK it when it goes boom, OR step out of it until it is over!

Vorenor Winterbourne

Vorenor Winterbourne is a nord vampire that can be found in Spindleclutch II.

Mechanics

AMBUSH!!! …we’re waiting…

YES this boss ANNOUNCES his ambush to us, and we have to wait for him to finally arrive. Officially the slowest least dramatic ambush in the Elder Scrolls Online…

HOWEVER! This boss has been reworked! He has all the same mechanics as he has in the dungeon version but with some more added! he is basically a combination of the Vampires on the last fight in VKA and the boss from Spindleclutch II.

When he casts blood circles on the floor, step out of them, they hit hard. When he teleports from player to player, simply block him. And when the vampire drains you, you need to be sure to have some form of healing. In the meantime he will actually apply a rather nasty bunch of attacks melee ranged that need to be blocked and above all watch for his channel!

When he is channeling, he will make red ghost fists punch you from under the ground. If you see them spawning, MOVE! He will cast them under you around 4x. once he has finished channeling, you are safe to carry on as normal.

He will vanish sometimes into mist form, but really, just wait for him to reappear and carry on.

It’s a rinse repeat fight but he DOES hit hard!

War Chief Ozazai

War Chief Ozazai is a goblin that can be found in Fungal Grotto I.

Mechanics

The goblin from the original EASIEST dungeon?  Well he IS a little different. He has a nasty heavy attack you can dodge or block, and also has a couple of AOE-based attacks you can also block or avoid. The big change is that usually he attaches a beam to you and another player and you need to separate. Well since you MAYBE solo, this mechanic has been changed. Instead, you have growing AOE on YOU as a player and it grows. Get ready to BLOCK it when it goes BOOM!

At later arcs, his light attacks are NO joke, make sure you have some defenses!

Xeemhok the Trophy-Taker

Xeemhok the Trophy-Taker is an argonian behemoth that can be found in Blackwood.

Mechanics

Now we have the hulk Smash! This guy is not actually as bad as he sounds or looks. he has plenty of frontal attacks that are channeled for long periods of time, so to avoid these outside of blocking or dodging, you can simply step to one side. His heavy attack needs to be blocked, and he will occasionally charge at targets, especially people who are TOO FAR AWAY! Don’t run away. Stay close.

This does get tricky at low health though. he will stomp the ground and roar and basically call down the ceiling! Much like the minotaur boss from the Gold Coast, he will constantly make rocks fall from the sky, so watch your footing and don’t get caught or you will be stunned and he will eat you.

Finally, he will occasionally spit at the player placing a poison aoe on the ground. DO NOT stand in this. You will die quickly from heavy poison damage over time.

Yolnahkriin

Yolnahkriin is a red dragon that can be found in Sunspire.

Mechanics

OH NO A FIRE DRAGON FROM A TRIAL!…Relax! He is actually  the most SCARY but the EASIEST dragon in the Infinite Archive!
First of all, he has a dragon fire breath, which swings from side to side. Simply block this as it passes you. He has a fus ro dah and heavy attack which you must block or dodge very carefully. Sometimes he will cast a 180-degree swing and fire attack. Don’t panic, run and dodge your way to his side and get OUT of it. BUT, get BACK into his face ASAP!

You NEVER stay on the flank of a dragon, you will be flung OFF the side! Get OUT and get back IN again FAST!

At around 50% health he will fly into the air and do his SHOUT mechanic (he shouts Poop Nah!…no? Unhear it 😉 )…During the channel the room is full of fire, simply stand out of it and kill the flame atronachs that spawn from the middle.

After he has shouted he will land, and you repeat the mechanics until he is dead.

Yup, it really is as simple as that.

He is scary because he uses the whole room and FORCES you to stand on his SIDE…the trick is location location location.

GOOD LUCK!

Ysmgar

Ysmgar is a sea giant that can be found in Western Skyrim.

Mechanics

This is quite simple. Basically, everything can be blocked and/or dodged. His heavy attack can be dodged or blocked, as can his HUGE aoe BURST of damage, and so can each of the orbs that come in and splash.

That’s probably the trickiest part, your sustainability. Blocking and dodging all of these things can cost you a lot. So be sure to have good recovery and/or pace things. the 4x orbs that fly in will pop when they get to him OR you can kill them beforehand. So if you struggle for stamina recovery/sustainability, deal with the ORBS over the boss and you won’t have to dodge/block so much. But the big BOOM and his heavy you need to block. They will kill you if you get caught, he does hit hard. And for a giant, he’s pretty fast!

Z’Baza

Z’Baza is a sea sload that can be found in Coral Aerie.

Mechanics

This boss is mayhem to look at, but if you split the mechanics up it’s not so bad. The boss will start in the middle of the room until he decides to teleport across the room. Bear in mind if you are INFRONT of him he will mind blast you a few times, so block it or get behind him fast so he stops it. Once he teleports he will spawn a big tentacle in the middle. This can be killed or avoided but if you don’t kill it you will have more aoes in the room to deal with and it will try to whip you. So the choice is yours on that one.

During this time, multiple adds will spawn alongside multiple bubbles. The adds should be killed but watch out for the supersonic yellow-looking one, his jump spin and heavy attack will delete you fast. You need to block that but be warned, his wind up is LONG so hard to judge.

While the adds, and the tentacle are in the room the bubbles that chase you need to be either blocked so they pop and you take LESS damage from them, OR baited to be close to you and you dodge them as they pop. Your choice.

While all of this is going on there will be MULTIPLE ground aoes, chasing you and popping at your feet. This is a bit of a micro-manage job here so basically watch your feet.

After a time the boss will teleport and the mechanics need to be repeated. Rinse repeat until he is dead,

SO…stay out of his face, watch the aoes, avoid and/or kill the tentacle, kill the adds, and watch the bubbles. There is NO dps check for the boss, so it can die whenever it dies. Mechanics are KEY!

Zhaj’hassa the Forgotten

Zhaj’hassa the Forgotten is a dro’m’Athra that can be found in the Maw of Lorkhaj.

Mechanics

The Infinite Archive Nemesis for almost ALL players. I’m going to make this as SIMPLE as possible for you.

The boss light and heavy attacks, these need to be blocked or dodged first of all. Watch for his slam attack as it will weaken your armour.
There are 4 pads around the room. When he channels and fires a bubble at you, you are cursed with a countdown timer. The room will go darker. get to a pad FAST to cleanse it or DIE. Be sure to ONLY use a pad when you ARE cursed. Else the timers will overlap and you will be left with no pads waiting for respawns. They do come back but they again, are on a timer, it’s crucial you don’t accidentally use one while NOT cursed.

The boss will spawn pillars around the room. While not cursed, hover around near these. When he prays and glows bright blue, he is about to BLOW THE ROOM UP! If you hide behind the pillar, making it sit between YOU and HIM (line of sight) the pillar will protect you.

These two mechanics above are the KEY mechanics for the fight. nail those and it is done!

There is NO dps check for this however, it is easy to get overwhelmed. during health percentages and then eventually on a timer, the boss will shield himself. Calm down, it’s NOT as bad as VMOL. basically you take LIGHT damage over time during this time and you have to break his shield to be able to damage him again.

During this phase TWO cats will spawn. Kill them. If you overburn and he goes into a second shield and you didn’t kill the cats, you will now have 4, then 6 and so on. Take your time, it’s not a race. WHILE he is in the shield, you can kill cats, you can rebuff, you can RES people if needed. use it as a window of opportunity!

Once you are comfortable, break the shield and continue with the above.

Cleanse curses, kill cats, hide behind pillars.

it’s a LOT simpler than it looks.

GOOD LUCK!

The Final Boss:  Tho’at Replicanum – All Forms

Tho’at Relpicanum is a glass atronach that can be found in the Infinite Archives.

Mechanics

This is the ARC BOSS for the entire arena! She has 4 forms, and over time they get more and more difficult. You will only see one form to start with, then arc 2, 3, 4 you will see additional ones. After 4 you will ALWAYS get all 4 forms.

They all have their own unique mechanics and each one must be dealt with differently. Understand however the extra forms/adds are introduced during HEALTH percentages. While that can be hard to gauge with some buffs pushing way over the edge and others not so much (luck can change it all and add overlap) you are looking safely around the 60%ish mark for each boss type to trigger the NEXT!

So how do you prevent from being overwhelmed? SIMPLE. FOCUS the boss in order of APPEARANCE!

Tho’at will be first, THEN she will spawn the Ice Artonach, THEN if you push the Ice Atronach the Mantikora will spawn THEN if you push the Mantikora, the DRAGON (yes DRAGON!!) will spawn!…The trick is to NOT accidentally panic and trigger too many bosses SO…

Tho’at is first, Kill her, THEN switch to the Ice Atronach…it will trigger the manit but ignore it for now. THEN when the Ice Atronach is down, kill the Manti (yes the dragon will trigger during, ignore it) THEN and ONLY then, you can fight the dragon.

Again to be VERY clear…KILL them in order of appearance. If you try to burn it all at once, you WILL get overwhelmed.

Now for their unique mechanics!

Tho’at Replicanum:

When the fight starts Tho’at is your MAIN target, and ONLY boss in the room.

Heavy Attack – This is a long-winded heavy attack, you have PLENTY of time to block this, but you need to know when the impact actually happens. She will spin her weapon, disappear into the air, and ONLY hit when she lands. Again it’s quite a long wind up so you have a LOT of time to counter this.

Crystal Shards – She will constantly drop crystals on the ground in small aoes. These will generally be under the individual who has aggro. Simply walk backward out of these and let her place them one after the other until she has finished. It’s up to you where these land as YOU are the target. So play tactical on this one. Do NOT think you can stand inside it and tank it. It’s VERY hard-hitting VERY fast. So relax and take your time but don’t stand in it on purpose for too long.

SHIELD!!! – YES she goes into a HUGE shield. During this phase, she will make a damage orb for every damage type you hit her with per attack. There are two ways to focus on this. If you have limited damage sources you won’t get too many orbs, you can damage her and then block/dodge the orbs as they fly at you…but the more damage sources you have the faster the orbs will rack up and the more you have to mitigate.
So it can be very tricky for squishy people (5k damage per orb). In the video, we are using the Lazy Sorc, which can quite frankly just nail her and stand up to the hits and/or dodge them. BUT on a squashier character, you don’t want to do this. You have one of the EASIEST options for ANY mechanic in the game here and realistically, ALL you have to do is NOT hit her. If you do NO damage. She will drop the shield, no orbs will come out and you can carry on as normal.

So, hit her and micro-manage the side effect, or simply stop attacking her altogether, the choice is YOURS!

GOO BUBBLES! (aka Shards) – During the fight tho’at Spawns bouncing bubbles of goo. These will jump around doing pretty much nothing BUT, at points in time, they will hover in the air doing HUGE damage over time. The longer they do it, the more damage you take. And yes these can WIPE a room NO problem. These MUST be interrupted!!!  The NPC in the room will occasionally HELP with ONE of these every 20 seconds, but he is not always going to get it.

Interrupt these or die! Th’oat generally gets no more than two of these at a time but you do have to be careful as they can overwhelm you fast.
NOTE: You CAN kill them if you prefer but watch out for respawns.

Weapon Throw and Laser beams – Sometimes She will throw her weapon across the room and it will stick in the ground doing aoe damage near it. She will now chase you fist-fighting like a hero but also LASERS will appear from big hovering orbs. Mind your feet! Don’t get caught! They snare and they hit REALLY hard with damage over time!

Ice Atronach:

As Tho’at gets closer to 60% ish health (that can fluctuate depending on variables at the time) The Ice Atronach will spawn in the room and add his own mechanics

Tentacles – This boss spawns TWO very large Tentacles in the room which will occasionally spin and emit a telegraph of damage around them that you must block or avoid. These CAN be killed.

Teleport – Throughout the fight, this boss will port from one place to another away from the player. He actually has a habit of teleporting TO the tentacles above, so you can somewhat plan for where he will go next./

STOMP Tentacles – As well as the giant tentacles the boss will stomp on a regular basis, and doing so will spawn a cluster of small tentacles. If you get close they will all whip together like the giant ones, and then despawn. These cannot be attacked but can be blocked and/or dodged/avoided.

Goo Bubbles (aka Shards) –  Much like the rest of the fight where Goo bubbles are present (they stay for the rest of the fight) the Ice Atronach adds MORE! Throughout the fight you will see no more than TWO in the room, however, with the Ice Atronach alive you can get UP to x4!

Kill them, interrupt them, or whatever you can manage, but they must NOT channel their aoe damage. Focus these. Once the Ice Atronach is dead, the extra ones will disappear.

Mantikora:

The Manti comes in while the Ice Atronach hits around the 60%ish health mark (yes that fluctuates). Do NOT focus on the Mantikora until the Atronach is dead!

Spear Throw! – The Manti will occasionally throw their spear into the ground, watch out for this as it is a LARGE burst aoe that hits the ground. It is generally aimed at the player, and doesn’t do a HUGE amount of damage but you do not want to take additional damage while everything else is going on.

GLASS! – This is the one shotter! Usually, after the spear throw the Mantikora will channel and glass will be hovering over each player’s heads for about 3 seconds. AFTER the 3 seconds are up a HUGE aoe will appear under the player(attached to them) and the glass sheet of death will come crashing down on their head! You have TWO options. BLOCK it or DODGE it! Dodging it will prevent 100% of damage. Blocking it you CAN get away with if you mitigate it enough, but if you overlap these? You’re a noob! Sorry i tried to find a nice way to describe how wrong it is to do it, but these are some of the BIGGEST attached AOEs in the game. If you chase your friend with it thinking it will help…NO. Just NO.

Do NOT overlap these unless you are BOTH going to do a full dodge roll. Blocking TWO of these as anything other than a tank is an INSTA-death!  The choice is yours but remember, if you are stacking, you better BOTH be dodging!

Double Lasers – When the Manti is in the room and continuing from there you are going to KEEP the “two laser” mechanic for the rest of the fight. YUP, double lasers! Yay!

IMPASSIBLE WALLS – Yeah, this will ruin your day! Simple to avoid, HORRIBLE placement! The boss will CONSTANTLY try to block your path by throwing down impassible walls. Don’t try to dodge roll through these, you CAN’T! Watch your feet and don’t get stuck!

Remember once the Manti is dead, all the major Manti mechanics go away!

The Dragon:

This is quite scary but pretty straightforward, you WILL need substantial heals, however, especially in later arcs. The Dragon spawns when the Manti is losing health, again around the 60% ISH mark, depending on variables. When the Dragon spawns, the middle of the room is no longer safe, You need to use the outer ring of the room. The dragon will circle breathing fire over and over until the Manti is dead. THEN the Dragon will land.

TIP: if you are melee you MAY not reach. The tip is to actually walk to the back wall as far as you can without dying and he will walk over to YOU and be almost out of the main ring/circle, so you can come back in and reach him.

Flame Breath – The dragon will use a flame breath ability from side to side like all other dragons. You can block it as it passes or dodge roll it.

Crystal Shards – Much like Tho’at the dragon constantly puts crystals under your feet. Don’t stand in them. You’ve gotten this far, you KNOW what they do. Apply what you have learnt here!

Lasers – Double lasers, AVOID them! Do not get caught, they snare and hurt!

Goo Bubbles – TWO bubbles will constantly spawn for the rest of the right, no different from anything you have seen before. make sure you interrupt them!

Wing Flaps – NEVER stand BESIDE a dragon, they flap you!

FUS RO DAH! – His heavy attack dragon shout is long-range and can be blocked or dodge rolled. Pretty simple mechanic.

SPIT and RAIN!
– The dragon will call down a rain of pain, constant popping aoe on your head over and over for 6-10 hits! They hit VERY hard, even through block so be sure to have plenty of health sustainability here with heals, shields, resistances, blocks etc. Outside of that, you have ONE other option…

RUN AT FULL SPEED AROUND THE RING SCREAMING until it is all over!

I would never ever usually tell you that THAT, is a legitimate tactic, bit here, it actually IS!

GOOD LUCK!
