What Is A Crafting Set Station?

A crafting set station is a crafting area that allows you to craft a specific set piece of armor.  Often there are additional requirements, like a number of traits that must be researched before you can make an item of a specific set.  While you can make generic pieces at crafting set stations, these are the only areas where you can the specific set that is listed.  There is one exception – attunable crafting tables (which are ‘tuned’ to replicate set stations) can be obtained and placed in houses for use.

ESO Map Icon Crafting Set Stations

On your map, crafting set stations appear with a blackened crafting icon when you are close to a location.  Once the set station has been visited, the icon turns white.

How To Obtain Overland Set Pieces

Players are rewarded for each boss kill with item/items from that boss’s loot table.

  • Delve bosses drop a waist, foot, or another unique item piece.
  • Overland World Bosses drop a head, chest, leg, weapon, or unique item piece.
  • Public dungeon bosses drop a shoulder, hand, weapon, or unique item piece.
  • Chests at Dark Anchors or Dolmens drop a jewelry set piece.

Even with Curated Item Set Drops, bosses with a specific loot table will only drop curated items from their own loot table.  Treasure chests have a chance to grant any set piece from the zone they are found in.  Click here to learn more about curated set drops.

What Is A Delve?

A delve in The Elder Scrolls Online is in essence a small dungeon.  Delves usually contain a few enemies, at least one ‘boss’, and a skyshard.  Delves can generally be completed solo.   If you are a new player, you may want to explore delves with a friend.  Most delves have an associated quest that you can get just inside or near the entrance.  This quest is more a side story to the main quest of the area but does offer rewards for completing it.

ESO Delve Icon Map Image

On your map, delves appear with a blackened single torch.  Once the delve is completed (by defeating the boss or bosses), the delve icon turns white.

Breakwater Cave

Breakwater Cave

“Many of the caverns along the southern coast of High Isle serve as home to smugglers, pirates, and worse. Just yesterday I received a report of those wretched Hadolids taking up residence in Breakwater Cave. That is simply unacceptable.”—Duchess Elea Dufort

 A Sheep In Need

As you close in on the delve entrance you will encounter along the beach Moric Guidroz.  Moric is quite distraught that Privette has been taken away into Breakwater Cave without his permission.

Privette is, according to Moric, the most beautiful sheep on the island.  A group of Hadolids who reside in Breakwater Cave kidnapped his sheep.  Moric asks for assistance and offers to pay.  Moric also tells you that Hadolids are covered in hard shells with nasty spikes and they smell bad.    Moric mentions that the Hadolids have been rumored to attack on other islands.

Breakwater Cave Location

Breakwater Cave is located southwest of the Westbay Wayshrine along the shoreline.

The three primary areas that Moric needs you to investigate are marked on the map.  You’ll also note the skyshard location and the main boss location for this delve.  This delve has only one boss.  As mentioned earlier, to ‘complete’ this delve, you’ll need to defeat all the bosses.  You can be sure that you’ve done so if you receive an achievement.

ESO Achievement High Isle Breakwater Cave Explorer

Exploring and defeating the boss Brineclaw will reward you with the Breakwater Cave Explorer achievement.

Inside Breakwater Cave

This delve was filled with crabs of all sorts but primarily coral crabs.  You will also encounter the Hadolid Peeler who is an odd-looking creature with 4 arms and claws like crabs.  In the same area as the boss Brineclaw, you will find the beloved Privette safe and unharmed.  Defeat Brineclaw and set her free.  A word of caution – after defeating Brineclaw you will be attacked by a multitude of coral crabs!

Brineclaw

To save Privette and free her from a cage, you must first battle a man-crab creature called Brineclaw.

Brineclaw has melee attacks and summons crab creatures to aid in his battle.  Once he dies, he does spawn one last room full of crabs but they are easily destroyed despite their large number.

Safe At Last

After you exit the delve, you will see that Privette and her caretaker Moric are safely on the beach.  Thankfully the Hadolids didn’t harm her apart from needing a bath.  In addition to gold, you will also receive the Shepherd’s Blade which is part of the Draugr’s Heritage set.

Coral Cliffs

Coral Cliffs

Under the stewardship of the Eldertide druids, Coral Cliff’s shoreline teems with beauty and life. Unfortunately, outsiders rarely live long enough to see it.

Coral Conundrum

Located in the northeastern area of the island of High Isle, the nearest wayshrine to the Coral Cliffs delve is the Flooded Coast Wayshrine.  From there, travel slightly northwest.  You will encounter Seargent Brusic who explains that his ship was attacked by coral.  He further explains that he was transporting Sea Elf prisoners but doesn’t know what happened to everyone else.

Sergeant Brusic says the other sentry named Veslyn and the prisoners must be inside the delve.  He asks for your help and says that House Mornard will see that you are compensated for your efforts.

Coral Cliffs Location

There are three interior levels to the Coral Cliffs delve.  You have locations to visit on each of these levels to locate the sentry and the prisoners.  The skyshard location is also notated on the map.

ESO Achievement High Isle Breakwater Cave Explorer

Exploring and defeating the boss Madena Bracques will reward you with the Coral Cliffs Explorer achievement.

Inside Coral Cliffs

This delve is an open area with lots of cliffs.  The enemies inside the delve were primarily Eldertide Vinecallers and Eldertide Castcombers who are pirates and they are easily defeated.  You will also encounter Coraldrift Bears which take a little more work to defeat.

You are tasked with destroying 3 pieces of corrupted coral and finding Veslyn and her prisoners.  Proceed to the areas marked on the map.

Madena Bracques

The boss of this delve is Madean Bracques.  Madena uses a fire staff and can set the ground on fire.  She also summons Hackwings which are annoying mini-dragons that can swarm you if you’re not careful.  During the battle, Madena’s human form dies, and she transforms into a wooden atronach.  Totems appear and must be destroyed as they power the atronach.  Focus on the totems while avoiding the aoes on the ground.

The Rescue Complete

After you exit the delve, Sergeant Brusic promised to inform House Mornard of your help and rewards you with gold, and the Coral-Smasher mace.  This mace is part of the Steadfast’s Mettle set.

Death’s Valor Keep

Death’s Valor Keep

“A knight’s vow is sacred and everlasting. Not even the silence of the grave may free you from your oath.”—Lord Leobert

In Secret And Shadow

Just outside of the entrance to Death’s Valor Keep you will find a talking skull resting upon a headstone.  The skull is Sir Nathain Galien who was a victim of tainted magic by Lord Leabert.

Sir Nathain informs you that Leabert didn’t complete the ritual because Nathain hid four ritual tools inside sacred alters in Death’s Valor Keep.  He requests that you help recover the items.  He also asks that you take his skull form along to insure you will be able to open the chests that contain the ritual items.

Death’s Valor Keep Location

Death’s Valor Keep is located in the northwestern area of High Isle.   The closest wayshrine to access this delve is Garick’s Rest Wayshine.

There are 4 ritual items that must be recovered for Sir Nathain.  The last of which leads you into the lowest level, the Death’s Valor Catacombs.  You’ll find both the last item and the delve boss, Lord Leabert.

ESO Achievement High Isle Breakwater Cave Explorer

Exploring and defeating the boss Lord Leabert will reward you with the Death’s Valor Keep Explorer achievement.

Inside Death’s Valor Keep

This delve has two levels which included catacombs where the boss was located.  The enemies were primarily Death’s Valor Battlemages, Death’s Valor Ravagers, and Death’s Valor Knights.  The Battlemages had a ranged attack while the Ravagers and the Knights attack was melee but they are easily enough defeated.  You will also encounter bone atronachs that can spawn additional enemies.

Lord Leabert

Lord Leabert’s attacks with a massive mace.  He also throws his shield which boomerangs.  He does pause for a brief second before he throws, and a path-like aoe appears.  All you need to do is to stay out of the aoe.  If you can range attack him, that’s best, but unless you take a direct hit from his mace, his attacks aren’t that powerful.  Be aware that you are also fighting in water which can cause you electricity damage.  He can be coaxed onto the platform which eliminated that attack.

Laying The Pieces To Rest

After you exit the delve, you will lay to rest the ritual pieces and Sir Nathain Galien completing the quest.  You will be rewarded with gold and the Valourous Pauldrons, which are part of the Blessing of High Isle armor set.

The Firepot

The Firepot

Local legends state that anyone who enters the Firepot “goes in rare, but comes out well done.” However, the beasts within aren’t choosey about their meals.

Scalding Scavengers

As you close in on the delve entrance you will encounter Vinilsare, an aquisitionist who, with her wife, gathers rare materials and ingredients.  Her current job is to gather vulk’esh scoria, a molten rock said to have magical properties.  This assignment was given to her by an alchemist in Summerset.

However, as is often the case, Vinilsare’s wife, Tarrinore entered the delve alone.  Vinilsare has a map where lava vents inside the Firepot Delve were marked by locals.  She asks for your assistance to retrieve her wife to safety, and collect the ingredients.

Firepot Delve Location

Firepot Delve is located northeast of the Castle Navire Wayshrine in southwestern High Isle.

The three primary areas that Vinilsare needs you to investigate are marked on the map.

Exploring and clear the Firepot Delve will reward you with the Firepot Explorer achievement.

Inside Firepot Delve

This delve is host to lava, molten rock, and volcanic vents.  There are firey imps, iron atronachs, and Valk’esh Young to be battled as you avoid standing in hot pools of lava.

Esh’curnu the Behemoth

After finding Tarrinore and collecting several fragments of vulk’esh scoria, you will find the delve boss, Esh’curnu the Behemoth.

While he is formidalbe looking, the fight was simple enough.  The standard rule of ‘Don’t Stand In Stupid‘ applies.  Esh’curnu does spawn Valk’esh Young to aid in his fight and can bury himself underground for brief periods of time.  Just keep moving, stay out of the aoe, and watch for a wicked tail attack.

A Mission Completed

After you exit the delve, you will see that Vinilsare and Tarrinore have been reunited although Tarrinore is mildly injured.   In addition to gold, you will also receive the Vulk’esh Stomper Sabatons which is part of the Systres’ Scowl set.

Shipwreck Shoals

Shipwreck Shoals

Tangled rigging and broken hulls surround this treacherous isle—a warning to any sea captain foolish enough to sail too close. Whether it belongs to the Sea Elves or the Hadolids is anyone’s guess. But neither look kindly upon uninvited guests.

Spies In The Shallows

Located in the northern area of the island of High Isle, you’ll encounter Titus Stolo.  He explains he’s aware of who you are and needs help.  He and his partner were gathering intelligence on behalf of the Dominion in Shipwreck Shoals but were caught by Dreadsail pirates and became separated.

His fear is that Sea Elves will obtain valuable Dominion documents.  He asks that you recover the documents and rescue his partner Nori and offers his finder’s fee as compensation.  In addition to Nori being his business partner, she is also his sister.

Shipwreck Shoals Map

Shipwreck Shoals is located in the northern area of High Isle along the coast.   The closest wayshrine is the Dufort Shipyards Wayshine.

The three primary areas that Titus needs you to investigate are marked on the map.

Exploring and defeating the boss Captain Ithala will reward you with the Shipwreck Shoals Explorer achievement.

Inside Shipwreck Shoals

This delve was filled with reef vipers and a few other enemies easily defeated.  You will need to explore the three locations for the documents and then free Nori from captivity.

Captain Ithala

Captain Ithala has a ranged attack with a crossbow.  She also sets small aoe traps that will pin you if you’re not careful.  She is aided by a Reef Viper and spawns more throughout the fight.  You will be in a water-soaked area and Captain Ithala also unleashes lightning attacks whose effects are amplified by the standing water.  Avoid the aoe as much as possible and focus on the vipers first, then the Captain.

Crisis Averted

After you exit the delve, Titus thanks you for saving the alliance and his sister Nori.   In addition to gold, you will also receive the Serpent’s Tongue which is part of the Systres’ Scowl set.

Whalefall

Whalefall

“We’re looking for slippery prisoners. The quicker the better. Our clients want a challenge, and we aim to provide it.”—Jailer Mannick

Pursuit Of Freedom

Located in the western area shoreline of the island of Amenos, the easiest way to get to Whalefall is south of the Trapper’s Peak Wayshrine.   If you do not yet have that open, you can use the Serpents Hollow Wayshrine instead.  Travel west from Serpents Hollow to the Hidden Foundry crafting station.  If you enter the crafting area, you can exit on the opposite side, close to Whalefall.

Lendanor asks if you have seen a Breton named Louna Jolvanne.  He tells you she is building a raft to take her to Whalefall.  He tells you that she and her partner are prisoners on Amenos and that they were both selected for a game that jailers play in which they hunt prisoners.  You’ll find Louna with her raft ready to travel to Whalefall.

Whalefall Location

Whalefall has only one level which consists of the two marked areas for the quest, the delve boss, and a skyshard.  As you make your way through the delve, you’ll fight various ‘hunters’ along the way.  These are participants in the game the jailers set up.  The hunters are hunting prisoners so they are aggressive.

ESO Achievement High Isle Breakwater Cave Explorer

Exploring and defeating the boss Jailer Mannick will reward you with the Whalefall Explorer achievement.

Inside Whalefall

Once you’ve reached the end of the paths you’ll find what appears to be a wrecked ship with two jailer sentries standing guard.  After you’ve defeated them, there are a few prisoners who escape the cages surrounding the area and attempt to attack.  They are easily defeated.  When the prisoners are gone, Jailer Mannick appears.

Jailer Mannick

Jailer Mannick attacks with a mace and shield.  His swings do cause a small electrical shock across the ground with a small aoe.  Mannick does toss his shield like a boomerang which can cause severe damage.  There is a path-type aoe when he does this so you can easily avoid this attack.

Returned To Safety

After you exit the delve by taking the raft back to Amenos, Louna tells you that she and Anton will try to make a life for themselves in the jungles of Amenos.  She pays you gold and Seabeast’s Ribcage which is a chest piece from the Steadfast’s Mettle armor set.

What Is A Public Dungeon?

Public dungeons are a type of dungeon that is non-instanced.  This means that it can be accessed by anyone at any time.  These dungeons are more difficult than delves.  Public Dungeons contain at least one skyshard and often a group challenge that rewards a skill point.  Each public dungeon also offers its own quests and achievements.

ESO Map Icon Public Dungeon

On your map, public dungeons appear with a blackened cave.  Once the public dungeon is completed (by defeating the bosses/mini-bosses and all associated quests), the public dungeon icon turns white.

Ghost Haven Bay Public Dungeon

“Fouler things than crabfolk prowl those shores. I’ve heard shrieks and moans echo off those wrecks. Sounds no living soul could make!”—Boatswain Mazhar

Ghost Haven Bay Location

According to legend, many ships, especially those carrying treasures, came into Ghost Haven Bay and then disappeared.  The entrance to the haunted Ghost Haven Bay is a doorway carved into a boulder.  As with all public dungeons, there is an associated quest and achievements.

Ghost Haven Bay is located on the island of Amenos to the east.  The nearest wayshrine is the Brokerock Wayshrine.  The dungeon is filled with debris from destroyed ships.

Buried At The Bay

Just outside the dungeon entrance, you will encounter Ilyes Maul who asks for your help.  One of his ancestors (along with her ship, crew, and treasure) vanished in Ghost Haven Bay and he needs help finding the family treasure.

After reading the Vanisande Maul’s Cutlass and the Waterlogged Journal of Vanisande Maul, you will meet the ghostly Vanisande Maul.  She explains that she was being pursued by an enemy and ended up in Ghost Haven Bay.  They lost the battle and she has been cursed to live there for centuries.  To break the curse, you’ll need to defeat Commodore Malfairre.

Dungeon Bosses

Ghost Haven Bay has 6 bosses.  To complete the dungeon, you will need to complete the quest and defeat all 6 bosses.

Click on the boss name for quick access to that section.

Commodore Malfairre

To complete the quest you will need to battle Commodore Malfairre who is located at the end of the public dungeon.  He is easy to defeat especially compared to the other bosses in this dungeon.

As a reward for this quest completion, you will earn the Maul’s Ancestral Edge that is part of the Blessing of High Isle armor set.

ESO Ghost Haven Bay Public Dungeon Ghost Haven Caravel

Ghost Haven Caravel Memento

You will also receive the Ghost Haven Bay Caravel memento.

Razor Fangs

Traveling northeast from the entrance, you will first encounter Razor Fangs.  He is a large snake much like Reef Vipers.

Mechanics

Razor Fangs attacks you with a lot of poison.  In addition to poison aoe, there will also be poisonous geysers that will do damage over time and could knock you down if you happen to be standing where one appears.  Razor Fangs does not have a weapon but also attacks you by ramming.

Hadolid Broodmother

The Hadolid Broodmother is located southeast of Razor Fangs.

Mechanics

The Hadolid Broodmother fights with a greatsword and summons Hadolid Peelers to aid her.  She also summons whirlpools that will slow you down and deal damage.  Focus on the adds as they can cause a damage shield for her rendering your attacks to her useless.

Captain Altair

Captain Altair is located in the southeastern area below the Hadolid Broodmother.

Mechanics

Captain Altair uses melee attacks and has a jump attack.  He also summons an orb that will deal shock damage.  Be sure to dodge roll Altair’s melee attacks.

Captain Marley

Captain Marley is located in the middle of the second level of Ghost Haven Bay called the Collapsed Caverns.

Mechanics

Captain Marley attacks with lightning dash attacks and spawns multiple totems that also deal shock damage.  The totems do multiple quickly so focus on getting them down as soon as possible.

Captain Tuvacca

Captain Tuvacca is located southeast of Captain Marley.

Mechanics

Captain Tuvacca summons fiery totems that do damage over time and grants him a damage shield.  Focus on the totems to break that shield.  He winds up before his most powerful heavy attack, so be mindful to block during those attacks or roll dodge out of the way.

Captain Fauvette

Captain Fauvette is in the northern area of the Collapsed Caverns.

Mechanics

Captain Fauvette has a very powerful stun attack that deals a lot of damage.  He summons totems that root you to the ground and deals damage over time.  Additionally, she summons adds that will explode after a few seconds if not defeated first.

Spire Of The Crimson Coin Public Dungeon

The coin barons of old High Rock once owned the Systres Archipelago, and their structures still lie scattered across the islands. The Spire of the Crimson Coin, one of the best preserved, serves as a grim testament to the excesses of their reign.

Spire Of The Crimson Coin Location

The Spire of the Crimson Coin is one of two public dungeons located in the High Isle and Amenos area.  Specifically, the Spire of the Crimson Coin is located on High Isle’s main island along the shoreline in the east.  It is a large castle.  As you enter in the castle remains, you’ll find a shoreline with a boat to the dungeon.

Blood, Books, and Steel

You will encounter Squire Rayan near the entrance of the Spire of the Crimson Coin.  He will ask you to help him find Dame Madack inside the dungeon.  Near the entrance, you will locate her.  She explains that she needs help to destroy the heart of the Spire of the Crimson Coin.  You will need to collect a few items and then destroy the Phylactery.

Dungeon Bosses

Spire of the Crimson Coin has 6 bosses.  To complete the dungeon, you will need to complete the quest and defeat all 6 bosses.

Click on the boss name for quick access to that section.

Bloodmage Cassel

After speaking to Squire Rayan and Dame Madach, you’ll make your way through the dungeon to collect a Bone Femur, an Executioner’s Block, and a Bone Hammer.  You’ll also need to fix a lever in the mill.  It is at the Bone Femur location inside the statuary hall that you’ll find Bloodmage Cassel.

He attacks with a staff and summons Bound Hemoptera.  He isn’t very strong and this will be an easy fight.

Continuing this quest, you’ll meet Bloodmage Cassel again.  Again he is using ranged attacks and does teleport around the room.  Focus on the Bound Hemopteras then the Bloodmage.

As a reward for this quest completion, you will the Lich-Crusher Maul that is part of the Steadfast Mettle armor set.

ESO High Isle and Amenos Public Dungeon Walkthrough Spire Of The Crimson Coin

Crimson Bone Hammer Memento

You will also receive the Crimson Bone Hammer memento.

Mouz The Unclean

Mouz the Unclean is located due north of the center of the Spire of the Crimson Coin dungeon.

Mechanics

Mouz is a winged creature that spawns Harpies.  She deals long-ranged attacks so you can get close to her.  Focus on the Harpies to keep them down to a manageable number then turn your attention to Mouz.  Mouz also have a cone type aoe.  Stay moving as much as possible to avoid them.

Shambleback

Shambleback is located in the northeastern corner of the Spire of the Crimson Coin dungeon.  He is in a small fenced area.

Mechanics

Shambleback is a heavy melee hitter who also poisons the ground.  Keep away of the aoes and stay out of them as much as possible.  Ranged attacks work well but if you are careful to roll dodge melee is not a problem.

Chillspine

Chillspine is in the southeastern area of the Spire of the Crimson Coin dungeon.  You will see ‘frozen’ people in the same area.

Mechanics

Chillspine can spawn icy tonrados and ice pillars under your feet so you should watch the ground at all times.  The pillars should be destroyed because their aoe will cause you to move very slowly.  There is also a cone aoe from Chillspine that should be avoided.

Crimson Apprentice

The Crimson Apprentice is located in the eastern area of the Spire of the Crimson Coin dungeon.

Mechanics

The Crimson Apprentice spawns Blood Pillars.  Focus on the Blood Pillars before the Apprentice.  Be sure to Bash to interrupt the Crimson Apprentice when it starts charging an attack.  This will allow you to deal damage.   The Apprentice will also teleport into the garden maze and taunt you to find it.  If you look up, you’ll see the flume which gives away its location.  Be sure to Bash to interrupt as this causes it to teleport back to the center location.

The garden maze also has the dungeon’s sksyshard.

Blighted Carapace

The Blighted Carapace is located in the southwestern area of the Spire of the Crimson Coin dungeon.

Mechanics

The Blighted Carapace has a heavy attack but it can be easily roll dodged.  Skeevers will also join the fight and while they do a little damage, they are mostly annoying.  The Carapace also throws his shield as a boomerang.  Luckily he stands still to do it, and there is a large path-like aoe that makes it easy to see.  Avoid that aoe as the hit is powerful.

Crimson Mother

The Crimson Mother is located in the middle of the Spire of the Crimson Coin dungeon.  While other bosses here can be defeated solo, the Crimson Mother is designed to be a group event so be sure to bring a friend.

Mechanics

The Crimson Mother summons Blood Wisps, and Crimson Coagulants which can easily overwhelm you and drain your health.  However, she also channels a powerful spell that not only stuns you but drains your health.  If you are caught, then someone else must Bash her to interrupt.  Even still, it takes a hardy health bar to withstand the drain.  Focus on the adds and stay out of the aoes as much as possible.

What Is A Group Dungeon?

Group Dungeons are designed to be four-player areas.  Dungeons in ESO feature large groups of enemies that are tougher to defeat and have multiple bosses.  These bosses pose unique challenges and often feature special mechanics that require teamwork.  Each dungeon has a quest with a skill point rewarded for its completion.  Dungeons also offer special gear sets that cannot be found in the overland areas of Tamriel.  Dungeons can be completed in normal mode, veteran mode, or veteran hardmode.  Dungeons completed in any of the veteran modes will reward you with a Monster Helm – a unique piece of armor for the head.  You can learn more about Monster sets in the Monster Set Guide and how to obtain the matching shoulder piece in the Undaunted Guide.  You can also find a video and a written guide for each dungeon in the All About Mechanics Series.

What Is A Trial?

Trials (also called raids) are referred to as endgame content for groups of 12 players.  They are dungeons of a much larger scale.  Trials require area-specific mechanics that require both teamwork and coordination.  Players who complete trials are rewarded with items that cannot be obtained anywhere else in the game.  Trials have both normal and veteran versions as well as veteran hardmode.  Trials also feature a repeatable quest with the reward being a special coffer.  Each trial will only reward one coffer per week.

The Sable Knight at Y’ffre’s Cauldron

The easiest way to find this world boss is to travel slightly southeast from the Steadfast Manor Wayshrine.  As you enter the stone arena, you will find the Sable Knight most likely kneeling and glowing with a purple magic aura.

Mechanics Notes

The Sable Knight will summon Dead Priests, Dead Wanderers, and Dead Stalkers throughout the fight.  His primary method of damage is from heavy cleaves and a very fast boomeranging shield.  This can one-shot lower health players.  Don’t stand in stupid.  You do have plenty of time to get out of the aoe if you simply watch for it and move!  He also releases a larger purple aoe that resembles flames when he summons a Dead Priest who appears to be channeled to him.  While it does damage a little, it looks much worse than it is.  There didn’t seem to be an interrupting effect while bashing the Dead Priest connected to the Sable Knight.

Achievement Earned

ESO Achievement Scrap Iron Collector

The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Scrap Iron Collector achievement.

Serpent Caller Vinsha at Serpent Bog

The quickest way to find this world boss is to travel northeast from the Steadfast Manor Wayshrine across the water.  As you enter the battle area, Vinsha appears to be praying at a large stone altar.

Mechanics Notes

Vinsha is a ranged attacker using a bow.  However, she does summon groups of Lightningfang Vipers that will attack you with lightning attacks.  These vipers are easy enough to deal with although they appear overwhelming.  Vinsha does separate into a couple ‘shade’ versions that must be destroyed before you are able to do additional damage directly to her.   Vinsha also places many aoe circle traps which can immobilize you.  Do your best to stay out of stupid.

Achievement Earned

ESO Achievement Serpent Slayer

The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Serpent Slayer achievement.

Eldertide Theurges At Amenos Basin

Travel south of the Trappers Peak Wayshrine to find the two Eldertide Theurges at Amenos Basin along the shoreline.

Mechanics Notes

Rosara and Skerard the Theurges await you at Amenos Basin.  These two have powerful magical attacks and HUGE aoes.  These aoes keep you on your toes with some requiring you to stay outside the aoe and others requiring you to come to the middle for safety.  It doesn’t matter which person you defeat first, but it is recommended that you focus your attention on one, then the other.  There are other adds to deal with but the system of defeating the adds then focusing on the bosses works well here.

Achievement Earned

ESO Achievement Claim Jumper

The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Claim Jumper achievement.

Hadolid Matron at Mornard Falls

Travel southwest from the Flooded Coast Wayshrine or northeast from the Serpents Hollow Wayshrine.  The Hadolid Matron’s location is about the middle of the two.

Mechanics Notes

The Hadolid Matron has a smaller sidekick called the Hadolid Peeler and many other smaller versions called Hadolid Consorts with some in spectral form.  The best strategy is to destroy the adds as they can quickly become overwhelming with a huge amount of small aoes.  The Hadolid Matron also summons swirling water pools and aoe cones that can cause you serious damage.  Expect her to also disappear for a few seconds as she makes a jumping movement and lands with a heavy attack.

Achievement Earned

ESO Achievement Lobster Cracker

The first time you defeat this world boss you will earn the Lobster Cracker achievement.

Glemyos Wildhorn At Faun Falls

Travel southeast of the Garick’s Rest Wayshrine to find Glemyos Wildhorn at Faun Falls.

Mechanics Notes

Glemyos does not use weapons but instead strong magical attacks.  He will also dart across the battle area.  Glemyos also summons powerful kicking Indricks and a battle line of Indricks that will kill even the healthiest of players.  The good news is that there is a crack – sometimes it’s small, very small, but there is always a safe area to break the line. Indricks are powerful kickers who also place small electrical aoes.  Stay out of their kicking zone.

Ascendant Executioner And Ascendant Harrower at Dark Stone Hollow

Located southeast of the Stonelore Grove Wayshrine, the Ascendant pair is a formidable flag-wearing foe.  The Ascendant Executioner seems to be less aggressive than the Ascendant Harrower.

Mechanics Notes

These two also summon Shadow Wraiths, Blade Masters, Shade Callers and Vanguards.  From time to time, one or both will be covered in a glowing orb that seems to protect them temporarily.  The Ascendant Harrower has a long path-type aoe while the Ascendant Executioner jumps into the air leaving a circular aoe for his landing area.  Be wary of the Shadow Wraith as it does explode but there is a tell – you will see red lines shooting from the wraith prior to it imploding.  Focus on the adds first while avoiding as much of the aoe as possible.

What Is A Survey Map?

Survey Maps (also called Survey Reports) are maps to a collection of six high-yield harvest nodes that only exist if you have the corresponding survey.  Some maps can be sold, some are character bound, and others only allow you to maintain one in your inventory.  If you have multiples of the same map, the nodes do respawn but you must go a short distance away for it to do so.  If you go away and the nodes do not respawn, then you haven’t traveled far enough.

Survey Map locations do NOT appear on your map.  You can slot the maps for quick access to compare your location.  The following icons will be used to denote the type of survey on this map.

High Isle And Amenos Summary

The High Isle chapter was released in June 2022.  Continuing the Legacy of the Bretons, this storyline provides 30 hours of unique game content.

High Isle is the largest island in an island chain called the Systres Archipelago located in the Abacean Sea in the westernmost region of Tamriel.  This chain also includes the jungle zone of Amenos, which is the second largest island.

High Isle’s history dates back to the early years of the Akaviri Potentates which was in power when the rule of the Reman Empire was taken over following the assassination of Reman Cyrodiil in IE 2920.  At that time, Reman malcontents were sent to the jungles of Amenos creating a prison colony.

There is exciting gameplay in The Elder Scrolls Online High Isle and Amenos zone.  You can check out the High Isle Guide for additional info. This zone offers more than just the main quest line.   There are lots of side quests to complete.  2 companions, Isobel and Ember, are available in this zone.  See the Companion Guide to learn how to get them.  Find zone-specific armor sets, acquire mythic items, visit points of interest, and don’t forget to play Tales of Tribute (ToT Guide).
