ESO’s PVP Whitestrake’s Mayhem Event Is Back On July 28 To August 9

ESO Whitestrake's Mayhem PVP Event
Mayhem is taking over ESO! From July 28 to August 9, you can earn extra XP, AP, and more with PVP activities in the Whitestrake's Mayhem Event.

Earn XP, AP, Loot, and More

Participate in ESO’s various PVP activities to enjoy HUGE bonuses to Alliance Points and Experience Points gains AND other unique rewards.  The Whitestrake’s Mayhem in-game event began Thursday, July 28, at 10am EDT and will run until Tuesday, August 9 at 10am EDT.  Throughout the event, harvesting nodes in Cyrodiil and Imperial City provide DOUBLE the regular resources.  The Golden Vendor, Adhazzabi Aba-dara will update her stock to contain Cyrodiil-available jewelry in CP160 Gold quality with necklaces for sale during the first weekend and rings during the second weekend!

Where To Begin?

Visit the in-game Crown store to acquire the ‘Details on the Whitestrake’s Mayhem’ quest.  Visit either your Alliance War faction’s main gate in Cyrodiil using the Campaign menu OR any Battlegrounds camp which is located outside major cities in Tamriel.

Locate the NPC named Predicant Maera.  After speaking with her, you will be required to use the Basin of the Gore Virtuous.  This will grant you the Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity and a Pelinal’s Boon Box.  If you have accidentally destroyed your Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity you can obtain another one simply by asking for a replacement.

Using the Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity allows you to enjoy a 100% buff in the Alliance War, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds to BOTH Alliance Points gained and XP gained for PVP player kills.  This scroll can be used throughout the entire event.  Note:  The Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity is an inventory item and not a Memento or Tool.  So if you lose it, you can visit the Basin of the Gore Virtuous to activate its benefits.

PVE Players Can Earn Event Tickets Too

Attention PVE players!  While this IS a PVP event, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all those amazing tickets and rewards.  Check out this PVP Guide For PVE Players to learn how to get in on the action and reap the benefits of the Whitestrake’s Event.

Earn Pelinal’s Boon Boxes

Event-exclusive Pelinal’s Boon Boxes will be awarded in Cyrodiil, Battlegrounds, and Imperial City.  These special boxes are in addition to the regular Rewards for the Worthy containers and regular PVP daily quest rewards.  You can earn them by completing these activities:

  • Battleground quests from Battlemaster Rivyn
  • Scouting, Battle, Warfront, and Conquest Missions
  • Elder Scroll capture and recapture quests
  • Town quests in Vlastarus, Bruma, Cropsford, Cheydinhal, and Chorrol
  • Imperial City daily quests

With each Pelinal’s Boon Box, you have a chance to receive the following items:

  • Parcel of Tel Var Stones
  • Cyrodiil Repair Kit
  • Soul Gems
  • Alchemy Ingredients
  • An item for your Alliance’s armor style
  • An item for Akaviri armor style
  • A Coldharbour siege weapon
  • A Whitestrake’s Mayhem book furnishing
  • A Forward Camp for your Alliance
  • A Chapter of your Alliance’s armor motif (or possibly even the full book!)
  • A Prismatic Runestone
  • A Chapter for the Akaviri armor motif (or possibly even the full book!)
  • A Transmute Geode
  • Alliance Breton Terrier pet fragments (or possibly even the full pet!)
  • Container with two tradeable runeboxes for Battle-Scarred Body and Face Markings.

You can also earn the new House Dufort Banneret Outfit Styles matching the armament of the Knights of the House of Dufort.  These are dropped by Imperial City sweepers and bosses.

Also available are the new Battle-Scarred Body and Face Markings to mar yourself with glorious scars earned from bloody duels.  These can be found rarely in Pelinal’s Boon Boxes.

And making a return is the Black Drake Clanwrap Armor Pack which allows you to adorn yourself in the wargear of the Reach.  This is dropped by Imperial City sweepers and bosses.

Lots Of Jewelry From The Golden Vendor

Our favorite Golden Vendor (you can learn more about her in this article) will be updating her stock to include legendary-quality Alliance War jewelry.  Necklaces will be for sale during the first weekend, and rings will be for sale during the second event weekend.

Earn Up To 39 Event Tickets

This is an Event Ticket event!  You can earn up to THREE Event Tickets per day by completing TWO different PVP activities:

Two Event Tickets can be earned from the first Cyrodiil or Battleground repeatable quest you do each day.  These include Bounty Board quests, a Town Daily quest, the Conquest Board quests, or the daily Battleground quest.

One Event Ticket can be earned from completing a District daily quest from Imperial City.

Remember that you can only carry a total of TWELVE (12) Event Tickets.  If you earn more than you can carry, they are simply lost.

Spending Event Tickets

Visit an Impresario to use those hard-earned event tickets.  You can purchase style pages for the Black Drake Clanwrap Outfit, Black Drake Body Markings, Black Drake Face markings, and Fragments.

Fragments are combined to make a morphing pet.  This year’s pet is the Soulfire Dragon Illusion Pet.  To create it, you’ll need to purchase 3 Fragments for 5 Event Tickets each.  Don’t worry – the Impresario will not sell you a Fragment you already own!  Once you have the three required fragments, you can use them to create the Soulfire Dragon Illusion Pet.

This pet, while awesome, can later be morphed with other Fragments into other items.  The new Daggerfall Paladin Costume fragment is available for purchase called the Blessed Rubedite Metal Enamel.  This fragment will be able to be morphed with other fragments available at later events.  At all this year’s events that offer Event Tickets, the Fragments for the Soulfire Dragon Illusion Pet will be available.  Those include the Hallowed Hourglass Basin, the Illuminated Dragon Scroll, and the Kvatchian Incense.

The House Dufort Banneret Armor Style Pages, Battle-Scarred Body Markings, and the Battle-Scarred Face Markings will also be available for purchase.

Other items can also be purchased with Event Tickets including Group Repair Kits and a Bag of Veteran’s Glory.  This ‘bag’ will contain a collectible that you don’t currently own from previous years’ Mayhem events.  ESO notes say that you can only hold ONE Veteran’s Glory bag at a time.   Use it or lose it!

And lastly, don’t forget the new Companion Guild Commendations will also be available.  These goodies will increase the guild commendation of the active companion!  Commendations are available for purchase for the Fighters Guild, the Mages Guild, and the Undaunted.
