Shipwright’s Regret Group Dungeon Preview From ESO’s Ascending Tide DLC

Ascending Tide Is Here!
The year-long Legacy Of The Bretons is now upon us with yesterday’s release of Ascending Tide – the newest DLC from The Elder Scrolls online. It was released on March 14, 2022, as the first installment. With some welcomed base game updates, like account-wide achievements, came two new dungeons: Coral Aerie and Shipwright’s Regret.
Don’t worry console players. This update and content will be coming to you soon on March 29th. More information on Update 33 can be found in this previous article. For more information about the plan for the Legacy Of The Bretons, check out this article from the global reveal. If you’d like to know more about Coral Aerie, check out this article.
Hidden In Rivenspire
Lore has it that the All Flags Navy was the largest fleet in Tamriel’s history. At least one of the shipyards where the huge naval force called home is now home to the dead and the undead. Shipwright’s Regret is one such haunted shipyard.
Characters New And Old
A returning fav-favorite character Za’ji has returned looking for ship plans. Like Coral Aerie, the new dungeon will introduce you to characters and factions you ‘may’ meet later in the year-long Legacy Of The Bretons adventure.
Mike Finnigan, ESO’s Encounters Lead, says that “Some of it won’t make sense until you play through High Isle, but having threads like these continue from the dungeon and through the Chapter is fun and helps bring it all together.”
Zombies And Spirits Block Your Path
While Shipwright’s Regret seems to be a deserted and ancient shipyard, explorers will find zombies and spirits, and other undead blocking their route. And as an added obstruction, the crew of Dreadsail Pirates will try to prevent you from recovering what the shipyard has hidden.
New Mechanics From The Final Boss
Finnigan also notes that we should pay close attention to the final boss. New mechanics are introduced and we can learn more about the story of the dungeon during the fight. He suggests that movement is key in this battle.
