Mundas Stone Blessings Create A Permanent Buff

ESO Mundus Stone
In The Elder Scrolls Online, players can get a added buff by using a blessing from one of thirteen Mundus Stones located throughout Tamriel.

What Is A Mundus Stone?

Mundus Stones are large, stone pillars that can be activated which creates a unique permanent player buff.  Each player can choose any Mundus Stone but only one Mundus ‘blessing’ (also known as ‘boon’) is permitted at a time.  Mundus Stones can be changed at any time and are free to use.   There is one exemption – if you are using the Twice-Born Star armor set, you can have TWO active Mundus Stone blessings at the same time.  Mundus Stones can be found throughout Tamriel.

The History Of The Mundus Stone

According to lore, and specifically Lady Cinnabar of Taneth, constellations occupy their own magical domains.  While it is unknown who placed the Mundus Stones at their current locations, their magical effects can install a special power to anyone who activates them.  Since each constellation is unique, the magical effect of each Mundus Stone is also unique.

Other Mundus Stone Locations

Mundus Stones can be acquired as a furnishing item and placed in your home.  While these do require 4000 crowns each, they are not purchased by going to the Crown Store.  To purchase Mundus Stones, choose the Purchase tab from in-game inside your Housing Editor.  Most guild houses have a full selection of Mundus Stones available for use by their members.  Mundus Stones can also be found in Cyrodiil with one exception – the Lord Mundus Stone.

Mundus Stones And The Armory System

As you’ve gathered thus far, the effects of a Mundus Stone can greatly enhance your character.  However, there is something else to consider.  If you are using the new Armory System to change setups or maybe even roles, the Mundus Stone does NOT change.   While you can easily and without cost change your Mundus Stone blessing, it cannot be changed using the Amory System.  You can find more about the Armory System in this previous article.
