Uulgarg the Risen – Wayrest Sewers II Boss

Overview

Uulgarg the Risen is encountered in Wayrest Sewers II . This encounter combines Uulgarg's attacks with Restless Souls and dangerous fire mechanics around the room.

The tank should hold Uulgarg still and keep him facing away from the group. DPS and healers should stay behind him while dealing with the additional enemies and reacting quickly to his Fear mechanic.

Mechanics

Cleave – Uulgarg has a frontal cleave attack which should be kept away from the rest of the group. The tank should hold him still and face him away while the DPS and healer remain behind him.

Restless Souls – Restless Souls will enter the fight and attack the group. These should be controlled and killed rather than allowing them to spread around the room.

Fear / Fire – Uulgarg will Fear the group, forcing players to run away from him. During this mechanic, fire AOEs are placed around the room and can cause heavy damage if players remain inside them.

Break free from the Fear as quickly as possible and immediately move out of any fire AOE beneath you. Do not simply allow the Fear to run its full duration, as this can send you directly through the dangerous areas of the room.

Tips & Strategy

• Tank: Hold Uulgarg still and keep his frontal attacks facing away from the rest of the group.
• DPS: Stay behind the boss, kill the Restless Souls and move immediately out of the fire AOEs.
• Healer: Stay behind Uulgarg where possible and be ready for increased group damage during the Fear and fire mechanics.
• Everyone: Break free from Fear quickly and avoid the fire AOEs rather than allowing the Fear to carry you through them.
