Allene Pellingare – Wayrest Sewers I Boss

Overview

Allene Pellingare is the final boss encountered in Wayrest Sewers I . This encounter combines heavy attacks, spinning attacks, ambushes, vampire bats, and a final phase where Allene becomes much more dangerous.

The tank should maintain control of Allene and keep her facing away from the group while the DPS and healer remain behind her. Pay close attention when she disappears, as the group will need to react quickly to her ambush attacks and the additional enemies that appear.

Mechanics

Heavy Attack – Allene will occasionally wind up a powerful heavy attack against whoever currently has aggro, which should normally be the tank. This should be blocked rather than trying to run away from it.

If Allene targets a DPS or healer with this attack, they should also block it. Failing to react can result in a large amount of incoming damage.

Spin Attack – Allene will begin spinning with her weapons and deal damage around herself. Players standing close to her should move out of the affected area while the attack is active.

Do not run unnecessarily far away. Step outside the dangerous area, wait for the attack to finish, and then return to your position.

Ambush – During the encounter, Allene will disappear and then ambush members of the group. Pay attention when she vanishes because she can reappear and attack very quickly.

Be prepared to block or react when she appears. The group should remain controlled rather than scattering around the room, as this makes her movements and attacks much easier to manage.

Vampire Bats – Allene will summon vampire bats during the fight. These additional enemies should be controlled and killed while the group continues dealing damage to the boss.

Use AOE damage to deal with the bats rather than chasing individual enemies around the room. Keeping everything together allows the group to continue damaging Allene while clearing the additional enemies.

Final Phase – Towards the end of the encounter, Allene becomes considerably more dangerous and her attacks will hit harder.

Do not lose control of the fight simply because Allene is low on health. Continue following the mechanics, block dangerous attacks, stay together, and finish the encounter cleanly.

Tips & Strategy

• Tank: Maintain taunt and keep Allene facing away from the group. Block her Heavy Attack and keep the encounter controlled when she disappears and returns.
• DPS: Stay behind Allene where possible, step away from her Spin Attack, and use AOE damage to deal with the Vampire Bats.
• Healer: Keep the group supported through the ambushes and final phase, and be prepared for increased incoming damage as the encounter progresses.
• Everyone: Pay attention when Allene disappears, react to her Ambush, avoid the Spin Attack, and continue following the mechanics during the harder final phase.
