Angata The Clannfear Handler – The Banished Cells I Boss

Overview

Angata The Clannfear Handler is encountered in Banished Cells I . Angata herself is not so much the problem in this fight. The problem is the sheer amount of enemies in the room.

The tank must taunt or control as many enemies as possible, especially the ranged mage types. The tank should always enter the room first, pin as many targets on the boss as possible, and turn Angata away from the group.

Burn down enemies next to the boss with AOE damage. If necessary, focus the ranged targets and pay attention to interrupts.

Mechanics

Summon Clannfear – Every 10 seconds or so Angata will summon a single Clannfear. They are not hard to kill but act as any other Clannfear with nasty light attacks, a jump mechanic, and a tail swipe. Do not run away or it will hunt you down.

Kill the Clannfear as close to the boss as possible. The casting of the Clannfear can be interrupted.

AOE Fire – Angata occasionally raises her staff and causes a small round AOE of fire on the ground. This is a very simple mechanic. Do not stand in it. Move a couple of feet out of it as it lands and you will be fine. This can be interrupted.

The rest of Angata’s attacks are mostly light flame attacks and should be manageable so long as the tank has her taunted.

Tips & Strategy

• Tank: Enter the room first, taunt or control as many enemies as possible, and pin them close to Angata while turning her away from the group.
• DPS: Use AOE damage to burn down enemies around Angata. Focus ranged enemies when necessary and kill summoned Clannfear close to the boss.
• Healer: Be ready for incoming damage if enemies focus a DPS or healer, especially while the tank is gaining control of the room.
• Everyone: Pay attention to interrupts, do not run away from summoned Clannfear, and move a couple of feet out of Angata’s AOE Fire.
