Bloodspawn – Spindleclutch II Boss

Bloodspawn Boss - Spindleclutch II

Overview

Bloodspawn is encountered in Spindleclutch II . The tank should hold the boss completely still, while DPS and healers remain behind the boss.

This is a simple fight if the group pays attention. Keeping Bloodspawn stationary is important so ground damage can remain underneath the boss.

Mechanics

Heavy Attack – Bloodspawn winds up a large heavy attack. Whoever has aggro should block it. Failing to block causes high damage and knocks the player backwards. This can make the fight last longer by moving Bloodspawn away from ground damage already placed underneath him.

Flurry – Bloodspawn occasionally performs a flurry attack. This does not deal too much damage to a tank and does not apply a knockdown, but it can be blocked.

Slam – Bloodspawn periodically slams the ground, causing rocks to fall from above. The rocks block the exits and begin filling the room from the outside in. A basic heal will keep you alive, so stay focused and continue the fight.

Do not run around the room during Slam. The rocks will overwhelm you. Stand still and focus. The longer the fight lasts, the more the room fills with rocks until eventually there is nowhere left to go.

Tips & Strategy

  • Tank: Keep Bloodspawn completely still and block the Heavy Attack to avoid being knocked backwards.
  • DPS: Stay behind Bloodspawn and keep your ground damage underneath the boss.
  • Healer: Stay behind the boss with the DPS and keep basic healing active during Slam.
  • Everyone: Do not run around during Slam. Stay still and avoid the falling rocks.
