Kra’gh the Dreugh King – Fungal Grotto I Final Boss
Overview
Kra’gh the Dreugh King is the final boss of Fungal Grotto I. This fight tests group coordination with heavy-hitting attacks, dangerous lightning abilities, and sudden leaps that can one-shot unaware players. It’s the most punishing encounter in the dungeon but remains fully manageable with proper blocking and positioning.
The tank should take point immediately, turning Kra’gh away from the group while DPS and healers stay behind. Awareness and reaction time are everything here — especially when Lightning Field and Storm Flurry begin.
Mechanics
Mudcrab Adds – Throughout the fight, Kra’gh will periodically summon groups of mudcrabs from the ground. These small adds don’t have much health, but if left unchecked, they can quickly overwhelm your healer or disrupt positioning. The tank should pull them close to the boss so they can be cleaved down with AOE damage while keeping Kra’gh faced away from the group. Focus control and don’t let the room get cluttered — ignore them too long, and they’ll make recovery impossible.
Lightning Field – Kra’gh creates a large circular field of electricity around himself, dealing heavy Shock Damage when it peaks. Anyone standing inside will take massive sustained damage. Step out immediately as soon as you see it, and wait for it to fade before re-engaging. This is the ONE mechanic above all that kills even the most confident players every day! If you get caught, it's a ONE SHOT!
Storm Flurry – This rapid multi-hit attack targets whoever has aggro (usually the tank). Each strike deals Shock Damage and can quickly deplete health if not blocked. Tanks should hold block for the duration; healers must be ready to respond with burst healing if a DPS accidentally takes aggro.
Lunging Strike – Kra’gh will occasionally leap toward a random player, dealing Physical Damage on impact. This attack can be blocked or dodged but will send players flying if it connects. Stay spread out and be prepared to roll-dodge when he starts his jump animation.
General Tips – Avoid stacking too close to the boss, keep constant awareness of the electric field, and ensure the tank repositions him safely whenever he leaps or shifts. The fight rewards control and punishes panic.
Hard Mode (Scroll of Glorious Battle)
Activating Hard Mode by using the scroll near the entrance increases Kra’gh’s health and damage. His Lightning Field hits considerably harder, and his Lunging Strike will knock down even blocking players. Positioning discipline becomes critical — keep space between players to avoid shared damage, and healers must prioritize quick recovery after leaps.
Tips & Strategy
- Tank: Keep Kra’gh taunted, face him away from the group, and block all Storm Flurries.
- DPS: Maintain awareness of Lightning Field — never stay inside. Focus on consistent damage between ability windows.
- Healer: Be ready for burst heals during Storm Flurry and after Lunging Strike landings.
- Everyone: Spread out slightly, stay calm during the lightning phase, and reposition quickly when the boss leaps.
On Veteran difficulty, Kra’gh also drops the Kra’gh Monster Set. This set can be obtained by defeating the boss and later completing the corresponding Undaunted challenges to earn the shoulder piece. Both items together form the full Monster Set reward for this dungeon.
