Overview

The Shadow Guard is encountered in Elden Hollow II . This fight starts with several enemies in the room, including ranged targets that can make things messy if the group allows them to spread out.

The tank should grab the Shadow Guard and control as many of the additional enemies as possible, bringing the fight together for the group. Stay close, keep the enemies controlled and do not run around the room.

Mechanics

Adds – There are several additional enemies in the room when the fight begins. The tank should control these targets and pull the ranged enemies into the group where possible. Stack them together so the DPS can kill them with AOE damage rather than chasing enemies around the room.

Shadow Tormentor – The Shadow Tormentor mechanic seen during the Azara the Frightener fight returns here. A Tormentor can appear and pin one player in place, preventing them from moving or using abilities.

The remaining group members must immediately focus the Shadow Tormentor and kill it to free the trapped player. Do NOT ignore it. Leaving a player trapped removes them from the fight until the Tormentor is killed.

Tips & Strategy

  • Tank: Control the boss and pull the additional enemies together.
  • DPS: Kill stacked adds and immediately focus Shadow Tormentors.
  • Healer: Stay with the group and avoid chasing ranged enemies.
  • Everyone: Free any player trapped by a Shadow Tormentor immediately.
