Murklight – Elden Hollow II Boss

Overview

Murklight is encountered in Elden Hollow II . This fight takes place around the central island and surrounding water. Positioning is extremely important because Murklight has attacks that require the group to react differently depending on where they are standing.

The tank should maintain taunt and keep Murklight under control while the group remains close enough to react quickly. Pay attention to the boss at all times because moving to the correct area during its major attacks is the key to surviving this fight.

Mechanics

Lightning – Murklight will charge up and release a powerful lightning attack across the central island. When this happens, players must move into the surrounding water to avoid the damage.

Do NOT remain on the island during this attack. Get into the water, wait for the lightning attack to finish and then immediately return to the boss.

Water – Murklight can also make the surrounding water dangerous. When the water becomes electrified, everyone must get OUT of it and return to the central island.

Pay attention to which area is dangerous. If the island is being attacked, move into the water. If the water becomes dangerous, move back onto the island. Do not run around unnecessarily between these attacks.

Tips & Strategy

• Tank: Maintain taunt and keep Murklight controlled.
• DPS: Watch the boss and move only when the mechanics require it.
• Healer: Stay with the group as everyone moves between safe areas.
• Everyone: Move between the island and water depending on which area is dangerous.
