Ancient Spriggan – Elden Hollow I Boss

Overview

Ancient Spriggan is encountered in Elden Hollow I . This boss has very low health and damage and is one of the simpler encounters within the dungeon.

Ancient Spriggan begins the fight accompanied by three smaller Spriggan minions. The boss and minions should be brought together, turned away from the group and defeated on the spot.

Mechanics

Minions – When entering the room, Ancient Spriggan will have three smaller Spriggans with her. These should be pulled together on top of the boss and turned away from the group.

The minions use basic light attacks and can occasionally attempt to heal. Their heals can be interrupted, although the Spriggans have very little health and can be killed extremely quickly with even low AOE damage.

Heal – Ancient Spriggan will occasionally attempt to heal herself or any surviving minions. This is a channelled ability and can be easily recognised when she raises her hands.

Interrupt the channel to prevent the heal from completing. Apart from this, Ancient Spriggan uses very weak light attacks and should simply be kept facing away from the group while everyone attacks from behind.

Tips & Strategy

• Tank: Pull Ancient Spriggan and her three minions together and keep them facing away from the group.
• DPS: Use AOE damage to quickly kill the smaller Spriggans alongside the boss.
• Healer: Stay with the group and help interrupt any healing channels when necessary.
• Everyone: Interrupt Ancient Spriggan when she raises her hands and begins channeling her Heal.
