Akash gra-Mal – Elden Hollow I Boss

Overview
Akash gra-Mal is encountered in Elden Hollow I . This is a simple fight as long as the group stays close, the tank maintains taunt and Akash gra-Mal is kept facing away from the rest of the group.
The healer and DPS should remain behind the boss and avoid unnecessarily running around the room. Keeping the fight controlled also prevents her Jump mechanic from becoming a problem.
Mechanics
Cleave – Akash gra-Mal performs a frontal cone AOE. The tank should block the attack, hold her still and make sure she remains facing away from the group. Anyone caught by the attack can be knocked back, which can quickly disrupt the group's positioning.
Whirlwind – Occasionally she will spin her weapon around her head, creating a small Whirlwind AOE around herself. Anyone standing inside the circle will take damage with each tick. Simply step outside the AOE until the attack finishes rather than running away from the boss.
The tank can remain inside the Whirlwind while blocking, although there is no need to take the additional damage. Maintain taunt, keep the boss still and step out if required.
The Whirlwind is usually followed by a heavy attack or uppercut. This attack can and should be blocked.
Jump – If a player moves too far away from Akash gra-Mal, she can randomly jump at them and land directly on their position. Staying close to the boss prevents this mechanic from occurring.
Keep the group close and controlled rather than running around the room. The Jump is designed to punish players who move too far away and can make an otherwise straightforward fight unnecessarily messy.
Tips & Strategy
- Tank: Maintain taunt, keep Akash gra-Mal still and facing away from the group. Block the Cleave and the heavy attack that commonly follows Whirlwind.
- DPS: Stay close and behind the boss. Step outside Whirlwind when necessary, then immediately return to position.
- Healer: Remain close to the group and behind the boss rather than moving unnecessarily around the room.
- Everyone: Stay close to Akash gra-Mal. Moving too far away can trigger her Jump attack.
