Overview

Ruzozuzalpamaz is encountered in Crypt of Hearts II . The tank should keep the boss taunted and turned away from the group while everyone stays relatively close together.

This fight is all about controlling the boss, dealing with the incoming spiders and reacting quickly when a member of the group becomes trapped.

Mechanics

Heavy Attack – Ruzozuzalpamaz has a very obvious heavy attack which should normally be aimed at the tank. The tank must block this attack. If the boss turns towards a DPS or healer and begins the heavy attack, that player must block until the tank regains control.

Lightning – The boss will cast a lightning attack at members of the group. Stay together so the healer can comfortably keep everyone alive while continuing to damage the boss.

Spiders – Small spiders will enter the fight throughout the encounter. These should be brought into the group and killed with AOE damage rather than allowing them to spread around the room.

Cocoon – Ruzozuzalpamaz will randomly choose a member of the group and trap them inside a cocoon. The trapped player cannot free themselves and must rely on the rest of the group.

When somebody is trapped, another group member must immediately move to the cocoon and use the synergy to release them. Do not ignore this mechanic or leave the trapped player waiting while continuing to attack the boss.

Staying relatively close together makes this much easier. If players are spread across the room when somebody is cocooned, reaching them and freeing them becomes unnecessarily difficult.

Tips & Strategy

  • Tank: Keep Ruzozuzalpamaz taunted and facing away from the group, block the heavy attack and control the incoming spiders.
  • DPS: Keep AOE damage on the spiders while attacking the boss and react immediately when another player is trapped.
  • Healer: Keep the group together where possible and maintain healing through the incoming lightning damage.
  • Everyone: Stay relatively close together and immediately use the synergy to free anyone trapped inside a cocoon.
