Chamber Guardian – Crypt of Hearts II Boss

Overview

Chamber Guardian is encountered in Crypt of Hearts II . This is a very simple fight mechanically, but the boss has some extremely hard-hitting attacks that must be respected.

The tank should maintain control of the Chamber Guardian and keep it facing away from the rest of the group. DPS and healers should remain behind the boss and avoid standing in front of it.

Mechanics

Heavy Attack – The Chamber Guardian has a very hard-hitting heavy attack. The tank must block this whenever it is incoming. If the boss turns towards another member of the group and targets them instead, that player must also block.

Do not attempt to simply absorb this attack without blocking. It hits extremely hard and can easily kill a squishy DPS or healer if the boss is not under control.

Frontal Attack – The boss has a dangerous frontal attack which is another reason the tank should keep the Chamber Guardian turned away from the group at all times. DPS and healers should stay behind the boss rather than standing alongside the tank.

AOE – The Chamber Guardian can create damaging AOE around itself. Pay attention to the ground and move out of the damaging area rather than standing inside it unnecessarily.

The fight is otherwise very straightforward. Maintain control of the boss, respect its heavy attacks and avoid unnecessary damage until the Chamber Guardian is defeated.

Tips & Strategy

• Tank: Maintain taunt, keep the Chamber Guardian facing away from the group and block its heavy attacks.
• DPS: Stay behind the boss and avoid standing in its frontal attacks or damaging AOE.
• Healer: Remain behind the boss with the group and avoid unnecessary incoming damage.
• Everyone: Block if the boss targets you with a heavy attack and stay clear of its damaging areas.
