Death's Leviathan – Crypt of Hearts I Boss

Overview

Death's Leviathan is encountered in Crypt of Hearts I . This boss has a few simple mechanics, but positioning is important. The tank should grab the boss and turn it away from the group while the DPS and healer stay behind it.

The group needs to pay attention to the boss's Charge and Burst attacks rather than running around the room. Once Death's Leviathan reaches low health, it will Enrage and the fight becomes more dangerous until it is defeated.

Mechanics

Charge – Death's Leviathan will occasionally choose a target and charge across the room towards them. Pay attention to the direction the boss is facing and move out of the path of the attack rather than allowing it to connect. Once the Charge is finished, the tank should regain control of the boss and return it to position.

Burst – The boss will occasionally perform a large burst attack around itself. When the AOE appears, anyone standing inside it should move out quickly and wait for the attack to finish before moving back into position.

Enrage – At low health, Death's Leviathan will Enrage and become surrounded by fire. During this phase the boss becomes considerably more dangerous and the group should maintain control of the encounter while finishing it as quickly as possible. The tank should continue holding the boss away from the group while everyone remains aware of the increased incoming damage.

Tips & Strategy

• Tank: Keep control of the boss and turn it away from the group.
• DPS: Avoid the Charge and Burst attacks while maintaining damage.
• Healer: Avoid the incoming mechanics and keep the group supported.
• Everyone: Pay attention to Charge, Burst and the Enrage phase.
