Ash Titan – City of Ash II Boss

Ash Titan Boss - City of Ash II

Overview

The Ash Titan is one of the largest and most intimidating bosses in City of Ash II. Despite his size, this fight is all about awareness and control — both of your positioning and his summoned Atronachs. The tank must keep the boss faced away from the group at all times and maintain taunt throughout the entire fight, even when the Titan moves to summon adds.

Group coordination and patience are crucial. Handle each phase deliberately, and the encounter becomes manageable.

Mechanics

Heavy Attack – The Titan performs a massive cone heavy attack that deals severe damage. It’s heavily telegraphed and should always be blocked by the tank. Never turn the boss toward the group. DPS and healers can roll backward or block if targeted, but should never move side to side — it tracks tightly.

Fire Splashes – Meteor-like projectiles will periodically rain down on the group. These deal Flame Damage in small circles. Move your feet to step out safely, but avoid over-moving or spreading too far.

Lock-On Fire Shot – Each player will occasionally receive a personal locked-on fireball. You cannot run from this; block to mitigate the hit. Healers should prepare to top off players immediately after.

Slam and Flame Wall – At the start of the fight, the Titan slams the ground, knocking players back and sending waves of flame across the arena. Move side-to-side to dodge the wall and maintain distance if necessary. Failing to avoid this results in high Flame Damage and a stun.

Air Atronachs – At 65% and again at 35% health, the Titan will fly to a nearby platform and summon an Air Atronach. While summoning, the Titan takes reduced damage. Once the Atronach is active, it spins rapidly and deals heavy AoE damage. Tanks must taunt both the boss and the Atronach while kiting them safely away from the group.

By the second summon, both Atronachs and the boss will be active simultaneously. The tank should keep all three controlled at the back of the room, while DPS focus the Titan. The Atronachs have a massive shield and low threat priority — just keep them taunted and survive.

Tips & Strategy

  • Tank: Keep taunt up on both the boss and any Atronachs. Hold them near the back of the arena and face the boss away from the group.
  • DPS: Focus the boss, avoid standing in fire, and use AoE skills to help with adds when safe.
  • Healer: Watch for group-wide damage during Fire Splashes and Flame Walls. Save burst heals for post-knockback recovery.
  • Everyone: Be aware of the summon phases — don’t panic, keep spacing, and let the tank manage aggro.
