Round 3: Drome of Toxic Shock – Lamia Queen
Overview
The Lamia Queen fight mixes lightning, adds, and stuns. She can end runs fast if you forget the ongoing arena mechanics. Keep moving to avoid lightning strikes from the sky, kill stranglers quickly, and use the shield synergy buff to reflect their attacks when possible.
Mechanics
Lightning Strikes – Random bolts hit the arena throughout the fight. Keep constant movement and never stand still; treat it as background pressure from earlier rounds.
Stranglers – These spawn around the arena edges and slow you when they hit. Prioritize them immediately, since movement penalties here usually mean death. Reflect their projectiles with the available shield synergy to stay safe.
Add Phases – The Lamia Queen summons waves of adds around 75%, 50%, and 25% health. Clear them fast before returning to her. Most players die here by ignoring the adds and getting overwhelmed while stunned.
Scream – Her signature attack. If you’re facing her when it triggers, you’ll be stunned and take damage over time. Always fight while circling or slightly behind her to avoid the cone. Break free quickly if caught, as everything else in the arena can hit you while stunned.
Tips & Strategy
- Movement: Always stay mobile — lightning and stranglers punish stillness.
- Adds: Kill adds on sight before returning to the boss.
- Positioning: Circle the Lamia Queen to avoid her scream cone.
- Buffs: Use the shield synergy whenever available to reflect ranged damage.
