Centurion Champion – Maelstrom Arena Boss Guide | All About Mechanics

Round 2: Seht’s Balcony – Centurion Champion

Centurion Champion Boss - Maelstrom Arena

Overview

The Centurion Champion fight looks worse than it is. The main killer here is panic. Relax, keep your eyes on the spinners, and handle one Centurion at a time. There’s no time limit — steady pacing wins this round. The trick is to avoid the spinning blades, while keeping focus on the one enemy that is standing right now, once he sits down, move to the next, and rinse repeat. The mechanics overlap aggressively though so be careful and know the different types of attacks.

Mechanics

Swipe – A heavy frontal strike that must be blocked. Failing to block causes big damage, especially if combined with spinner pressure.

Steam – A cone attack directly ahead that can easily be avoided by stepping to the side. Standing still here is a fast way to die.

Lightning Rain – Ranged attack where bolts rain across the arena. Keep moving and maintain pressure. This lasts the longest of any mechanic in this round, so manage stamina and positioning carefully.

Sit Down – Around 75%, 50%, 25%, each Centurion will crouch, becoming immune with a lightning shield. Only one is active at a time, but you’ll fight all three in rotation. When one sits down, move to the next. Avoid staying too close, as the shield will zap you if touched.

Burn them one by one. Don’t panic, block the swipes, and always move between lightning bursts.

Tips & Strategy

  • Focus: One Centurion at a time. Ignore the others until they wake up.
  • Movement: Stay mobile during Lightning Rain — it lasts longer than you think.
  • Defense: Block heavy attacks and step out of Steam cones.
  • Rhythm: Treat it like whack-a-mole — consistent, clean attacks win this round.
