TEMPEST – ESO Infinite Archive Warden Build

Build Overview

TEMPEST is a PvE Warden build designed specifically for the Infinite Archive in The Elder Scrolls Online . The build delivers extremely high area-of-effect and single-target damage while retaining strong defensive tools that prevent it from feeling fragile.

Inspired by the Nature’s Bounty tank build, TEMPEST reverses the approach. Instead of a tank that can clear rooms, this is a high-powered damage dealer that still benefits from block mitigation passives to remain durable in prolonged encounters.

🌩️ Damage With Built-In Defense

TEMPEST is a damage-focused build that keeps full tank-level block mitigation passives intact. Rather than relying on frantic button presses, the build is driven by duration-based abilities and proper upkeep of damage-over-time effects. Power comes from timing, not spamming.

Enemy positioning is a key component. By grouping enemies into ground-based area effects, set bonuses and damage-over-time effects are constantly triggered with minimal downtime.

🧊 Dual-Resource Blocking

Weapon choice plays a major role in the build’s survivability. An Ice Staff on the front bar allows blocking with Magicka, while Sword and Shield on the back bar blocks with Stamina. This enables continuous blocking with one resource while the other recovers, creating a much more forgiving sustain loop.

This dual-resource approach gives the build flexibility rarely found in traditional DPS setups, especially in the Infinite Archive where sustained pressure is common.

⚙️ Strengths and Synergy

The build offers strong crowd control through snares and stuns, reliable self-healing from light and heavy attacks, burst healing options, and ultimate-based recovery tools. Status damage plays a major role, allowing Update 47 changes to work in the Warden’s favor.

High ultimate generation further enhances survivability and damage potential, giving access to powerful ultimates whenever needed.

🎯 A Different Way to Play

Gameplay is straightforward: apply and refresh damage-over-time effects, maintain buffs, and control enemy positioning. Ground-based area skills keep set effects firing consistently, while dual-bar blocking ensures resources remain balanced.

This balance makes TEMPEST significantly more forgiving than traditional DPS or tank builds in the Infinite Archive, while still delivering exceptional damage output.
