Build Overview

This is a PvE healer build for the Warden class in The Elder Scrolls Online . The build is designed to focus primarily on healing while simultaneously providing extremely powerful group buffs with very high uptime. This healer is intended to be played at close range due to its skill and monster set choices, although with a few adjustments it can also be played at range (close-range play is strongly recommended).

Wardens have exceptional healing potential, supported further by an extremely cheap main ultimate. Playing close to the group also allows the healer to provide significant additional protection through unique buffs and resist bonuses.

🛡️ Understanding Your Role

The key to mastering this build is fully understanding your responsibility within the group. This role is not simply about spamming heals and clearing content. You provide a large number of buffs that directly improve group performance, sustain, and survivability alongside your healing. Your job is to actively maintain these buffs while keeping your group alive at the same time.

One extremely important detail: your weapons have glyphs. You must actively use light attacks and heavy attacks, just as a DPS player would, to ensure those effects remain active.

The Warden is the only class in the game that provides Minor Toughness. This means keeping a heal active every 20 seconds or more is critical to maintaining the group’s increased maximum Health.

Additionally, the Warden is the only class capable of supplying Major Resolve to the entire group. This non-stacking, group-wide resist buff allows every other player to remove their personal resistance skill and replace it with something more useful. This alone can dramatically change how the entire group is able to play.

When you fully maintain these buffs, you allow damage dealers to slot more damage or utility, and tanks to slot additional crowd control or support skills. Your presence directly increases overall group efficiency.

This applies to all of your buffs: Minor Toughness, Minor Resolve, Major Resolve, Minor Intellect, Minor Endurance, Minor Berserk, Major Courage, and Major Force (when using War Horn). Your responsibility is to keep these effects active.

Jorvuld’s Guidance greatly enhances this playstyle by increasing the duration of all Major and Minor buffs by 40%. This allows you to spend less time refreshing buffs and more time actively healing. This bonus also applies to your own Major Mending from heavy attacks and healing low-health targets.

Olorime provides Major Courage for up to 42 seconds, but only when used correctly. This build is designed to give you full control over how and where that buff is applied, avoiding common mistakes such as accidental self-placement or wasted procs (demonstrated in the video).

The chosen monster set further enhances group protection. While tanks sometimes use this set, its effectiveness can be reduced on very large bosses or encounters where the tank is positioned far from the group. In these cases, having the healer apply the buff directly within the group is far more reliable. Alternative options are discussed in the video depending on group needs.

The Master’s Restoration Staff is a key part of this setup. It does not need to be double-barred. Since Olorime only needs to proc from one location, the front bar weapon is free to provide additional value. Every first cast of Healing Springs restores Stamina to the group, benefiting both DPS and tanks. Tanks can now recover Stamina even while blocking.

Every skill and gear choice in this build is placed deliberately to take full advantage of passives and bonuses. Some variations are discussed in the video, but the core setup is optimized as shown.

Buff your group. Protect your group. When you do your job correctly, they can focus entirely on theirs.

Class Mastery

Update 50 has given us a new system called Class Mastery in The Elder Scrolls Online. If you decide to remain 100% pure class, you gain access to five unique Class Mastery passives, but can only choose two. These are the two selected for this build.

Bountiful Harvest - Bountiful Harvest
Glacial Obstinance - Glacial Obstinance

Permafrost can be replaced with Aggressive Warhorn or Barrier depending on group needs.
Lotus Blossom can be replaced with Radiating Regeneration if a ranged HoT is preferred.

How to Play – Hist Keeper Healer

🩺 Healing Priorities

As a healer, you don’t follow a strict rotation. Your focus is on maintaining buffs, bonuses, and heals over time, while reacting quickly when burst healing is required. Awareness of your group’s health bars is far more important than rigid skill order.

🧍 Positioning & Playstyle

This is a close-quarters healer. Stay close to your group — often slightly behind them, but always within range. This allows you to benefit from your own heals, ensures your group receives all buffs, and keeps everyone inside the Lord Warden resistance proc.

⚡ Heavy Attacks Matter

Heavy attacks are essential. Weave them in frequently to sustain resources and maintain Major Mending. Apply your buffs and heals over time, then use heavy attacks between casts. Keep everything active, keep weaving, and the healing takes care of itself.

🏆 Champion Points – Best Slotables for the Build

Once you reach level 50, Champion Points further enhance your character through three constellations. Each tree focuses on a different aspect of gameplay, allowing you to fine-tune survivability, sustain, damage mitigation, and quality-of-life improvements.

These trees are divided into Warfare (Blue), Craft (Green), and Fitness (Red). Slotable stars from each tree provide powerful passive bonuses once unlocked.
