Build Overview

Ever wanted to play a different way in Cyrodiil , Battlegrounds, or Imperial City — away from the copy-and-paste fantasy of “1vX”?

Ever considered that there are more ways to win than just being the one person chasing kills? If that thought even crossed your mind, you’re already heading in the right direction.

🧱 Be the Obstacle

PvP is not always about doing damage. Sometimes, it’s about preventing the enemy from achieving their goal — which means you need to be in the way.

If your job is to protect a resource, hold a keep, carry a Chaos Ball, or act as the brick wall in defensive or offensive situations, you need to be hard to get past. You need to be the wall.

Waste people’s time. Keep them busy. Let the squishies do the leg work.

😈 The Psychology of Frustration

We’ve all been there — fighting someone who simply will not die, only to realize far too late that you’ve wasted a huge amount of time and achieved absolutely nothing. It’s hard to take something from someone who refuses to go down.

That’s exactly what this build is designed to do.

🎉 Community-Born Chaos

As part of the 10th Anniversary of The Elder Scrolls Online, this build was shaped by the community following the Amsterdam IRL event. This is The Constipator.

And it does exactly what it says on the tin — it stops people’s sh*t and blocks the way through. Hold resources. Hold Chaos Balls. Capture and defend keeps. Whatever it takes.

🛡️ Why It Works

You are incredibly hard to kill with minimal damage output, acting as a constant annoyance for anyone foolish enough to keep attacking you. Buffs, debuffs, pressure — you shrug it all off.

You heal from all damage types, automatically remove debuffs and DoTs, and benefit from massive block mitigation and damage reduction. You can stand in meteors like they’re nothing.

👥 Solo vs Group

Solo? You’re annoying. In a group? You’re unstoppable.

This build was tested in stacked groups of four or more. Even with minimal damage output, these setups were nearly impossible to kill — impassable brick walls. Now imagine a full group moving as a unit, with DPS positioned behind them to clean up targets.

It gets silly — and that’s the point.

🧠 Rethinking PvP

PvP players rarely operate like an army. Large-scale strategy is almost never applied. I think it’s time that changed.

Get some friends. Put a few of these builds on the field. Apply pressure. It’s your keep. Your resource. Your Chaos Ball.

Don’t just hand it over to a Wrecking Blow spammer farming YouTube clips. Toughen up. Create the wall.

Oh — and one more thing… This is a one-bar PvP build.

There’s more than one way to win.

📌 Key Notes

  • Extremely high health with strong healing over time for yourself and group support.
  • High resistances that are cheap to apply and easy to maintain.
  • Cleanse on demand, both controlled and proc-based.
  • Any form of crowd control heals you.
  • High block mitigation with very low block cost.
  • Cheap ultimate usage providing constant benefits to free blocking and reflecting.
  • Direct damage heals you.
  • Projectile damage can heal you.
  • Permanent buffs via the Oakensoul Ring — yes, this is one bar.
  • Effective in both CP and no-CP environments.

How To Play The Build

Constipator does not follow a traditional rotation. Your role is simple, brutal, and effective: block, survive, and be as disruptive as possible. PvP is unpredictable, so this build thrives on reactions rather than rigid timing.

Core Survival & Control

  • Living Dark must be maintained at all times — this is your primary self-heal over time for being hit.
  • Extended Ritual is your home. Stay inside it whenever possible for cleansing and healing.
  • Absorb Missile should be used proactively when under projectile pressure to mitigate damage and heal.

Pressure & Resource Management

  • Spam Puncturing Sweeps to apply constant pressure while staying tanky.
  • Heavy attack often to sustain block resources and maintain uptime.
  • Use your ultimate OFTEN, then heavy attack from within it for maximum value.

There is no single correct way to play this build. PvP situations change rapidly, so adapt, react, and lean into your survivability. Your goal isn’t to burst people down — it’s to outlast them.

Stay alive. Stay in the fight. Stay annoying.

🏆 Champion Points – The Constipator PVP Templar Tank Setup

Champion Points for The Constipator are focused on raw mitigation, block reliability, shield scaling, and sustain that functions while under constant pressure. This build prioritises staying alive, denying kills, and remaining impossible to remove.

Damage is irrelevant here. These CP choices exist purely to reinforce survivability, defensive uptime, and consistency in PvP engagements.

Once you reach level 50, CP upgrades your performance across three constellations: Warfare (Blue), Craft (Green), and Fitness (Red). These support your build with damage, mitigation, recovery bonuses and much more!

ESO Blue Champion Points
  • Unassailable
  • Ironclad
  • Duelist’s Rebuff
  • Bulwark
ESO Green Champion Points
  • Rationer
  • Liquid Efficiency
  • Treasure Hunter
  • Steed’s Blessing
ESO Red Champion Points
  • Boundless Vitality
  • Fortified
  • Strategic Reserve
  • Rejuvenation

These Champion Points reinforce the build’s core identity: extreme mitigation, strong shield uptime, stable sustain, and survivability under sustained pressure. Green tree choices are quality-of-life focused and may be adjusted freely.

Mundus, Attribute Points & Race Choice

We are using the Atronach Mundus Stone.

All 64 Attribute Points go into Health.

The chosen race for this setup is Breton .

Any race can be used successfully. If you choose something other than Breton, small adjustments to attributes or food may be required, but the setup will still function correctly.

Potions, Poisons & Food

This build is intentionally simple in terms of consumables. Your stats are balanced to fully support Tri-stat potions and Tri-stat food without any awkward trade-offs. Both can be crafted or obtained through daily rewards, Crown sources, Alliance Points, or vendors.

Important: Potions should be kept active at all times to maintain their Major Recovery bonuses.

Below are the exact recipes required.

🧪 Tri-Stat Potions

🍜 Tri-Stat Food

This food provides Max Health, Max Magicka, and Max Stamina, perfectly complementing the defensive and sustain-focused nature of the build.
