WOOF – ESO One Bar Sorcerer Werewolf Tank Build
The One Bar Sorcerer Tank Build delivers a simple and effective setup in both human and Werewolf forms within The Elder Scrolls Online . With a single skill bar, you control fights, hold enemy attention, and maintain strong survivability without needing to manage multiple bars.
Whether you’re clearing waves in the Infinite Archive , anchoring veteran trials, or tackling hard mode dungeons, this Sorcerer tank keeps everything where it should be. Pulls, control, and self-sustain all work together without overcomplication.
Effortless Room Control
- NEW Werewolf Taunt: While blocking, using Gnash (Rip and Tear morph) applies a taunt, debuff, and heal.
- AOE Pulls: Chain-pull groups together to control positioning and trigger set effects.
- Status Effects: Consistent application of Hemorrhage and Sundered.
- Passive Buffs: Class Mastery Passives that transfer into Werewolf form allow for more damage AND a NEW Unique damage buff to the group JUST for winding up a simple heavy attack once every 20 seconds!
One Bar, All Essentials
All core tanking tools sit on one bar. Defensive skills, control abilities, and sustain tools are always available without bar swapping. Moving between human and Werewolf form fits naturally into the build without disrupting your flow.

Skills – Humanoid Form & Werewolf Form
This One Bar Sorcerer tank uses two is a FULL tank regardless of chosen form. Generally speaking you should be using Werewolf form as much as possible, but as demonstrated in the video, sometimes you may want to transform back to humanoid for long ranged pulls, and then BACK to Werewolf after you have applied the ranged control. It depends on the fight, so practice and understanding the fights is KEY.

NOTE: The Shield Throw skill is made in scribing. In order to create this you will need the Pull, Bash and Major vitality scripts.
SKILLS: If you choose to you can swap Regenerative Ward for Hardened Ward, but that is really player preference. Most of the time you will be in Werewolf Form so the extra small heal is not going to make a difference but some players may prefer it.
Class Mastery
Update 50 has given us a new system called Class Mastery in The Elder Scrolls Online. If you decide to remain 100% pure class, you gain access to five unique Class Mastery passives, but can only choose two. These are the two selected for this build.

These passives give your build execute power AND a Damage shield for 0.5 seconds when winding up a heavy attack, not just for a small amount of fast protection but also to apply a 20second increased weapon damage buff to the group!
How To Play The Build
Active Play & Buff Maintenance
With this one bar Sorcerer tank setup, your priority is simple: maintain taunts, buffs, and debuffs at all times. Never allow taunts to expire—refresh them every 10–12 seconds to account for stuns, movement, or unexpected mechanics. Use heavy attacks when safe to restore resources, then immediately reapply any defensive buffs or heals that are necessary depending on the figh/mechanics. In Humaniod form you have access to HUGE damage shields and block mitigation bonuses, so before a big heavy attack hits you, pop these on while holding block and suck up HUGE damage to face tank it rather than being a squish squish.
In Werewolf form, the same really applies for the basics. Maintain taunts at ALL times, and be sure to stun and heal as and when necessary.
The taunt is very unique! Rip and Tear is your taunt but ONLY if you are holding block at the time. No block, NO taunt. You must "Block cast it"(press while holding block). The JUMP pull this build has relies on Feral Pounce. It's amazing control but it ONLY fires at 7m range or more, so sometimes a quick step back or dodgeroll backwards to gain distance, then instantly jumping in, is an effective way to fire the set. While there is no "rotation" on a tank, there are importances of controlling and maintaining the enemies, and the easiest way for this build is to JUMP, FEAR, TAUNT! In that order. Taunt should always be applied instantly to main threats but things that can be pulled are already being controlled and the stun allows you time to then grab them individually. If you can help it, plan your attack. If there is an enemy that cannot be pulled (cc immune) use that as a carefully targeted anchor point to pull the rest in around you. Short version.
Feral Pounce, Deafening Roar, THEN Hold block and Rip and Tear each target individually.
Not only will your Roar fear, but it also applies debuffs, and group bonuses. It is crucial to use this ability a LOT and maintain it.
Remember your heal in Werewolf form actually FEEDS you stamina, so you have almost infinite sustainability, and even more so when you enrage with your ultimate. So use that to keep your stamina bar up along side heavy attacks and you will NEVER run out!
↑ Back to Top🏆 Champion Points – Woof - Werewolf Sorcerer Tank Setup
Champion Points support Woof’s role as a durable, control-focused Sorcerer tank. These selections prioritise damage reduction, and recovery, one of which is a HUGE health recovery bonus that only THIS build can infinitely maintain!
Once you reach level 50, CP is split across three constellations: Warfare (Blue), Craft (Green), and Fitness (Red). This setup is focused entirely on survivability and consistency rather than damage.

- Ironclad
- Duelist’s Rebuff
- Enduring Resolve or Bulwark
- Unassailable

- Steed’s Blessing

- Boundless Vitality
- Bastion
- Fortified
- Strategic Reserve
NOTE: Bulwark is for Human form if you feel you need it but it does NOT transfer over to Werewolf as weapon passives to not either(you're not sword n board anymore) If you are 99% of the time Werewolf form, do not use Bulwark.

Mundus Stone, Attribute Points and Race
Below is the full stat guidance for the Woof build, covering your Mundus Stone, attribute distribution, and race choice. This setup is focused on strong sustain, high durability, and smooth performance across extended fights.
We are using the Atronach Mundus Stone . This provides excellent Magicka recovery. Enough for the ability to heal on tap and use that heal to fill our main resource bar EVEN while BLOCKING!
All 64 Attribute Points are placed into Stamina. This maximises your survivability and sustain while supporting the build’s core playstyle.
The recommended race for Woof is Orc . Orc offers excellent Max Health, Max Stamina, and free healing, weapon and spell damage AND is fast with reduction to sprint cost.
Other strong options include Nord , Imperial , or Argonian . Each brings its own strengths, but none are mandatory.
Ultimately, race choice is flexible. If you want maximum efficiency with minimal adjustment, Imperial is still a strong option — but almost any race will perform well here. Choose what feels right for you.
