ESO Infinite Archive Lazy Sorcerer Status Build – One Bar Sorc Guide

Build Overview

This is a specialised variation of the ever-popular Lazy Sorc — the one-bar evolution of the Easy Sorc — rebuilt specifically to dominate the Infinite Archive .

While the original Lazy Sorc performs extremely well across everyday PvE content, this version is designed entirely around the mechanics, buffs, and scaling systems unique to the Infinite Archive. Outside of this arena the build will still perform well, but for dungeons and trials the standard Lazy Sorc remains the better choice.

With Update 41 significantly improving status damage, this build shifts away from chance-based effects and instead focuses on guaranteed application. You gain full control of both Concussion and Burning simply by dealing or taking damage — no RNG required.

When you are hit, you trigger an 8m area Concussion effect. When you are dealing damage, you trigger an 8m area Burning effect. By positioning yourself in the middle of the fight and stacking Archive bonuses, the build scales aggressively with very little effort.

Technically the Archive itself remains semi-random, but if you are able to stack Focused Efforts bonuses, the damage output becomes extreme. Compared to the original Lazy Sorc, survivability is also increased through improved healing, shielding, and passive recovery.

One of the damage sets used not only guarantees Concussion every six seconds, but also heals you. Combined with Critical Surge and a buffed Regenerative Ward — now healing you as well as shielding you when activated — the build becomes exceptionally forgiving inside the Archive.

Simply put: play exactly as you always have but now introduce a free spammable, should you stack focused efforts buffs. Heavy attacks are still relevant, but now supplemented by constant free AoE damage, Off-Balance control, and layered healing — all without increasing complexity.

Outside of healing, shielding, and Wall of Elements, virtually all damage sources are free: Heavy Attacks, Light Attacks, Elemental Susceptibility, being hit, and even your main spammable cost nothing. It is constant pressure with no sustain tax.

Key strengths of the build:

  • Huge healing from damage shields layered with Critical Surge
  • High resistances with permanent Major and Minor Resolve
  • Large resource pool supporting strong damage scaling
  • Optional high block mitigation when required
  • Free single-target and AoE damage
  • One-bar simplicity with minimal input
  • Scales aggressively with Focused Efforts buffs
  • Storm Atronach morph guarantees Concussion every 2 seconds in close AoE and allows a group member to grant Major Berserk
  • All gear obtainable on Normal difficulty — no Veteran content required

Which Visions Should You Pick?

In the Infinite Archive , a lot of your progress comes down to luck. That said, there are absolutely certain Visions you should push toward if they appear.

These are some of the most important bonuses to prioritise:

  • Focused Efforts (top priority)
  • Scorching Support – ground fire for large damage
  • Ferocious Support – heavy attack bleed
  • Ferocious Strikes – stacks with the above
  • Scorching Strikes – burning damage increase
  • Crystalline Strikes – chilled damage increase

Beyond these, there are plenty of defensive and stat-based options, but to properly support this build you should focus on stacking critical damage and critical chance for both magicka and physical sources.

A good mix of crit chance, crit damage, and the Visions above will allow you to clear rooms extremely quickly without changing how the build plays.

One thing worth noting — while it isn’t a Vision, the verse Tomefoolery is very strong here. Being able to repeatedly summon the Atronach means more concussion, more AOE pressure, and better overall control.

If you want a deeper breakdown of all available buffs and how they work, they are covered in full in the Infinite Archive guide .

How To Play The Build

As explained in the video, the Infinite Archive Lazy Sorcerer is intentionally simple. This build is designed to remove mechanical stress and let you focus on positioning, survival, and steady pressure rather than strict rotations.

Buffs & Ground Effects

There are only two things you must actively maintain:

  • Critical Surge – Keep this active at all times. Never let it fall off. This provides your healing, sustain, and overall safety.
  • Unstable Wall of Elements – Keep this placed under enemies constantly. It drives damage, status effects, and overall efficiency.

Damage Flow

Outside of maintaining your buffs, your gameplay is extremely flexible:

  • Use Heavy Attacks early for sustain and safety.
  • Once Focused Efforts stack up, switch to Elemental Susceptibility or your free spammable and simply spam it.
  • Mix heavy attacks and light attacks freely — there is no strict rule.

As Archive bonuses grow, heavy attacks become less relevant and your free damage tools take over completely. At that point, lean into them and enjoy the power spike.

The Philosophy

Buff up → Wall down → Spam a free skill or heavy attack.
That’s it.

This build thrives on flexibility. Adapt to the situation, keep your core effects running, and let the Infinite Archive buffs do the heavy lifting.

🏆 Champion Points – Infinite Archive Lazy Sorcerer Setup

Champion Points play a huge role in the effectiveness of the Infinite Archive Lazy Sorcerer. Since this build focuses on sustained pressure, critical damage, and effortless gameplay, the CP setup prioritises raw damage scaling, passive sustain, and survivability without adding mechanical complexity.

Once you reach level 50, CP enhances your performance across three constellations: Warfare (Blue), Craft (Green), and Fitness (Red). These selections are tuned specifically for Infinite Archive scaling, critical damage efficiency, and staying alive while playing aggressively.

Mundus Stone, Attribute Points and Race

Below is the full stat guidance for the Infinite Archive Lazy Sorcerer build, covering your Mundus Stone, attribute distribution, and recommended race. This setup is designed for consistent damage, strong critical scaling, and effortless sustain while keeping gameplay as relaxed as possible.

✔️ We are using the Thief Mundus Stone . This massively boosts your Critical Chance, which synergises perfectly with heavy attacks, Elemental Susceptibility, and the overall Lazy Sorc playstyle inside the Infinite Archive.

✔️ All 64 Attribute Points go into Magicka. This maximises your damage output, shields, and overall sustain, allowing you to stay aggressive without worrying about complex resource management.

✔️ The recommended race for Infinite Archive Lazy Sorc is High Elf . High Elves provide excellent Magicka sustain and spell damage, which directly improves both your damage and survivability during extended Archive runs.

Other races are absolutely viable. Khajiit offers strong critical bonuses, while Breton provides excellent Magicka sustain and cost reduction. Any race will function perfectly fine, but these options align best with the Lazy Sorc’s strengths.

Potions, Poisons, & Food

🧪 Potions

You can use Tri-Stat Potions for a balanced combination of sustain and survivability, restoring all three resources with a strong Health return. Alternatively, if you prefer the squishier, higher-damage playstyle mentioned in the video, Spell Power Potions are also a valid option.

🍜 Food

Food is very simple: use the highest-level food you can access that provides Max Health and Max Magicka only. There are multiple recipes, but all provide the same stats — choose whichever is easiest to obtain.
