FLEX – ESO Magicka Nightblade PvE Build
FLEX is a Magicka Nightblade PvE build for The Elder Scrolls Online that combines two of the strongest playstyles the class has ever had. Over time, players naturally leaned toward either high critical damage or heavy status effect pressure, depending on preference. FLEX exists because there’s no real reason to choose anymore.
Instead of maintaining two separate setups for the same role, this build merges the strengths of both approaches into one clean, easy-to-run setup. You keep the strong crit pressure from Flawless, add the consistent damage and procs from Status Pro, and end up with a build that feels smooth in every situation.
FLEX works in trials, dungeons, solo arenas, and Infinite Archive. It holds up at all difficulties, scales well with group quality, and doesn’t fall apart if you miss a refresh or two. You’re not fighting timers just to stay relevant.
Crit handles your burst and execute phases. Status effects add steady pressure in the background. Together they create damage that’s reliable, easy to manage, and forgiving without ever feeling weak.
Mythic vs Non-Mythic Setup
If you’re running the Mythic version of the build using Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet, everything is already set up as intended. No changes are needed.
If you’re running the non-Mythic version, the only thing to pay attention to is Minor Force. If your group already provides it, you’re covered. If not, simply replace Structured Entropy with one of the following options.
Either option fits cleanly into the build. Slot what makes sense for the group you’re in and move on.

Class Mastery
Update 50 has given us a new system called Class Mastery in The Elder Scrolls Online. If you decide to remain 100% pure class, you gain access to five unique Class Mastery passives, but can only choose two. These are the two selected for this build.

🏆 Champion Points – FLEX Magicka Nightblade Setup
Champion Points for FLEX are focused on maximizing direct damage, execution pressure, and sustain while keeping the setup simple and efficient. These choices reinforce FLEX’s core goal: high performance with minimal complexity.
Once you reach level 50, CP enhances your build across three constellations: Warfare (Blue), Craft (Green), and Fitness (Red). The selections below prioritize raw damage, sustain through kills, and survivability during extended PvE encounters.

The FLEX Magicka Nightblade is built around one idea: keep it simple without losing damage. Fewer buttons, fewer things to track, and more focus on mechanics, positioning, and staying alive.
This rotation is intentionally straightforward. If you can light attack weave and watch a couple of timers, you can play this build at a high level in anything from dungeons to trials.
Opening & DoT Setup
At the start of every fight, go to your back bar and apply your setup:
- Dark Shade
- Light Attack → Structured Entropy
- Light Attack → Elemental Blockade
Once those are down, bar swap back to the front bar and start dealing damage.
Main Damage Loop
Your front bar is where you live most of the time:
- Light Attack → Crushing Shock, repeat continuously.
- When the target reaches 25% health or lower, replace Crushing Shock with Impale.
No tricks here — clean weaving and uptime do the work for you.
Spectral Bow Usage
Any time your Merciless Resolve Spectral Bow is glowing:
- Light Attack → Fire Spectral Bow immediately.
Don’t hold it, don’t overthink it — fire it as soon as it’s ready.
DoT Refresh & Ultimate Usage
Keep an eye on your timers. When your back-bar DoTs are close to expiring:
- Bar swap
- Refresh Dark Shade, Structured Entropy, and Elemental Blockade
- Swap back and continue spamming
Use your ultimate as soon as it’s ready. For best results, drop it just before firing a Spectral Bow.
TL;DR Rotation
Keep DoTs up → Light Attack + Crushing Shock spam → fire Spectral Bow on proc → drop ultimate ASAP → at 25%, swap to Impale.
It’s fast, forgiving, and effective — exactly what FLEX is meant to be.

Below is the stat setup for the FLEX Magicka Nightblade build, focused on high critical damage, strong sustain, and flexible performance across all content.
✔️ We are using the Thief Mundus Stone, as explained in the video. This maximises Critical Chance, which directly boosts overall damage consistency and scaling.
✔️ All 64 Attribute Points are placed into Magicka.
✔️ The recommended race is Khajiit, offering excellent Critical Damage and sustain. That said, High Elf, Orc, Nord, Argonian, and Imperial are all strong alternatives, with differences coming only from minor racial passives.
Race choice ultimately comes down to preference — if you want the exact stat profile shown here, go Khajiit. Otherwise, pick what suits your playstyle best. It’s your build.
Potions, Poisons & Food
If you are using the Oakensoul Mythic version, you can run Tri-Pots permanently. If not, you will need to use Spell Potions in order to gain Major Sorcery. If you have a Dragonknight in your group providing Major Brutality and Sorcery, Tri-Pots can again be used without issue.
