Lazy Bones – ESO One Bar Necromancer Build (All PvE Content)
Lazy Bones is a One Bar Necromancer build for The Elder Scrolls Online designed to keep the class simple without losing what makes a Necromancer fun to play.
Whether you're learning the class, farming solo, running group content, or spending hours in Infinite Archive, the goal is the same: reliable damage, excellent sustain, and as little unnecessary complexity as possible.
This is still a Necromancer through and through. You summon skeletons, create corpses, trigger explosions, and let chain reactions do the heavy lifting. Things die, things explode, and then the corpses explode too.
Update 50 & Class Mastery
Update 50 has given the build a significant boost thanks to the new Class Mastery system. The selected passives dramatically increase your damage as enemy Health drops, making the build stronger and stronger throughout a fight.
The lower the target gets, the harder Lazy Bones hits. It fits naturally into the Necromancer toolkit and adds a surprising amount of power without adding extra buttons or complexity.
Build Strengths
- Only three skills require regular use
- Fast-paced gameplay without complicated rotations
- Extremely low resource demands once combat gets rolling
- Several abilities become significantly cheaper or free through Necromancer mechanics
- Strong single-target damage and area damage at the same time
- Excellent sustain without relying on heavy attack gameplay
- Powerful execute scaling from the new Class Mastery system
- Works in solo, group, and Infinite Archive content
The end result is a build that feels far more active than most One Bar setups. You are not standing still channeling heavy attacks all day. Instead, you're constantly firing skills, creating corpses, triggering explosions, and keeping damage flowing with very little effort once the rotation gets started.

Lazy Bones – Rotation
The rotation is extremely simple once you understand what the build is trying to achieve. Every part of the setup revolves around creating corpses, consuming corpses, and building up Venom Skull to its stronger third cast version.
The important thing to remember is that Blastbones takes roughly 2.5 seconds to explode and leave a corpse behind. This means you must allow time for it to do its job before trying to consume the corpse.
Starting the Fight
Light Attack → Blastbones → Light Attack → Venom Skull → Light Attack → Venom Skull → Light Attack → Detonating Siphon
This gets everything moving. Blastbones explodes and leaves a corpse behind, the Necromancer skills build up Venom Skull, and Detonating Siphon consumes the corpse ready for the next cycle.
The following section (main rotation) needs to be 100% repeated over and over:
Main Rotation
Light Attack → Blastbones → Light Attack → Detonating Siphon → Light Attack → Venom Skull → Repeat RepeatRepeat...
Every skill contributes towards the next empowered Venom Skull. Every Blastbones creates the corpse required for Detonating Siphon. Every cycle naturally fills the gap while waiting for Blastbones to explode.
The important part is maintaining the rhythm:
Light Attack → Skill → Light Attack → Skill → Light Attack → Skill
Keep that pattern going and everything lines up automatically. Blastbones always has time to explode, corpses are always available when needed, and Venom Skull is always cycling back to its stronger version.
Situational Notes
- In Infinite Archive there will be corpses everywhere, making Detonating Siphon extremely effective.
- If healing is required, use Ruinous Scythe when needed.
- If there is a corpse available, make use of it, even if that means just spamming Necrotic Potency at times.
🏆 Champion Points – Lazy Bones, One Bar Necromancer
Champion Points play a huge role in the effectiveness of Lazy Bones. These selections focus on reliable damage, effortless sustain, and survivability — keeping the build smooth, forgiving, and consistent in real gameplay.
Once you reach level 50, Champion Points continue your progression across three constellations: Warfare (Blue), Craft (Green), and Fitness (Red). Lazy Bones prioritizes low-effort damage scaling and passive sustain to keep gameplay relaxed and effective.
