The ESO Solo Build for true lone players — Cheat Code turns your Necromancer into a one-person army for arenas, bosses, and overland adventures.
Build Overview
Cheat Code is the ultimate ESO Solo Necromancer Build — made for players who want to play solo content that’s actually designed for one person, not the false fantasy of “soloing everything.” This build exists for those who’ve tried Vateshran Hollows, Maelstrom Arena, or the Infinite Archive and felt they were too hard, too punishing, or simply out of reach. This is built to fix that problem.
You’re your own tank, healer, and DPS all in one. It’s based on the Necromancer tank line for toughness, mixed with Arcanist beam damage for pressure, and powered by the Nightblade Siphoning tree for sustain, self-healing, and ultimate gain. It’s tough, forgiving, and made for the people who still want to experience solo content without needing to be “pro level.”
The Core Concept
Leeching Plate and Night Mother’s Gaze are the backbone of the build. Leeching keeps you alive by turning every hit you take into healing, while Night Mother’s Gaze keeps your pressure high by constantly stripping enemy resistances. You’re not avoiding damage — you’re using it.
Getting Leeching Plate
Leeching Plate drops in Imperial City Prison. It’s technically a group dungeon, but you don’t need to grind it with a full team. The Imperial Fragments used for the vault vendor can be bought and sold on the market. That means you can enter the dungeon on normal, walk straight to the loot room, and buy your pieces directly from the vendor — RNG pending, of course. It’s proper old-school ESO, and still one of the best ways to get solid gear on your own.
Built for the Real Solo Player
This build isn’t for people chasing leaderboards or showing off. It’s for the ones who play solo because they want to — or because they end up that way. It’s for players who don’t have a regular group, who like to explore, craft, scribe, scry, and take on challenges their own way. You’ll build it up through natural gameplay — DLC zones, crafting, market trading, and world exploration — no trial sets, no gatekeeping, no nonsense.
What Makes It Work
- Leeching Plate converts incoming damage into powerful, constant healing.
- Night Mother’s Gaze shreds resistances so your hits always land hard.
- Arcanist subclass keeps steady pressure and control through reliable beam DPS.
- Nightblade Siphoning not only fuels sustain and healing, but also gives huge ultimate regeneration that stacks with Necromancer’s ult regen for constant uptime on that powerful transformation!
- All gear is accessible — crafted, dropped, or bought through normal solo play and market vendors, despite one set coming from a dungeon.
- Made for the player who’s tired of struggling and just wants to finally beat real solo content.
Cheat Code isn’t pretending to be capable of “all content.” It’s built for the content that’s actually meant for one player — and for the players who’ve always wanted to conquer it without frustration. Tough, forgiving, and fully solo — that’s the point.
Fashion First – The Cheat Code Build Style

The Cheat Code build doesn’t just play like a monster — it looks like one too. For this setup, we’re rocking the Baron Polymorph, unlocked by completing the Maelstrom Arena on Veteran difficulty.
It’s a clean fit for the theme — a visual reminder that you’ve conquered one of ESO’s toughest solo challenges and earned your place as a true lone survivor. Nothing flashy, no frills — just a dark, gritty look that screams power.

The Cheat Code Build Skills
This hybrid setup blends Bone Tyrant, Herald of the Tome, and Siphoning with key weapon skills to keep the pressure high while staying almost impossible to kill. You’ll generate ultimate constantly, deal steady damage, and sustain through everything — built for real solo content.

Class Synergy – The Cheat Code Combo
Cheat Code combines three distinct class lines for one purpose — survival through damage:
- Bone Tyrant – from the Necromancer, giving core defense, mitigation, and ultimate generation with Necrotic Potency and Summoner’s Armor.
- Herald of the Tome – from the Arcanist, providing powerful beam-based pressure and resource stability through Pragmatic Fatecarver and Cephaliarch’s Flail.
- Siphoning – from the Nightblade, fuelling constant sustain and ultimate regeneration that stacks perfectly with Necromancer passives and skills.
Together these lines form the backbone of Cheat Code — a build that never runs dry, keeps healing through damage taken, and strikes back harder every time it’s hit.
🏆 Champion Points – The Cheat Code Solo Setup
Champion Points in The Elder Scrolls Online are a key part of the Cheat Code Solo Build setup. These choices focus on raw survival, sustain, and consistent damage output — everything you need for solo arenas, overland content, and Infinite Archive runs.
Once you hit level 50, Champion Points (CP) keep your character growing in three main constellations. This build focuses on Warfare (Blue), Fitness (Red), and minimal investment in Craft (Green) for passive travel speed, crafting bonuses, and other quality-of-life perks.

- Reaving Blows
- Wrathful Strikes
- Biting Aura
- Master At Arms

Steed’s Blessing
The green tree is mostly passive — invest here as you gain points for travel speed, crafting bonuses, and quality-of-life perks.

- Boundless Vitality
- Fortified
- Bloody Renewal
- Slippery
Note: In Infinite Archive, you can swap Biting Aura for Occult Overload if you manage to get the Focused Efforts vision for extra synergy.

🌀 The Cheat Code – How It Plays
There’s no strict rotation here — this is a solo build. You’re the tank, healer, and DPS all in one, and every fight will play out differently. You react, you adapt, and you keep everything rolling. But there are a few golden rules that keep Cheat Code working at full power.
💪 Buffs & Maintenance
- Summoner’s Armor, Shattering Banner (toggle), and Inspired Scholarship should always be active. They keep your resistances high, your damage up, and constantly generate corpses even when nothing dies.
⚔️ Damage & Crux Management
- Crux is key to your uptime. Keep Inspired Scholarship active for a free Crux at all times.
- Before channeling Fatecarver, always hit Cephaliarch’s Flail twice. That two-Flail setup makes a huge difference to total damage output and sustain.
🛡️ Survival & Defense
- Siphoning Attacks heals you when you deal damage. Leeching Plate heals you when you take damage.
- Your Elemental Blockade (on the Ice Staff bar) procs a free damage shield for any enemy standing in it. With Infused, it refreshes so often it stacks with your other shields.
🔋 Resource Management
- Keep your Tri-Pots up at all times — don’t wait until you’re low. They’re not just refill tools; they grant three major buffs to your consistent recovery, and you must maintain them.
- When you have a second to breathe, tap Siphoning Attacks. It costs a bit of health, but you’ll instantly refill it while recovering Magicka and Stamina at the same time.
💀 The Infinite Resource Trick
The Ice Staff is your secret weapon. On the back bar, you’re blocking with Magicka while your Spiked Bone Shield uses Stamina. Between both resources, Siphoning Attacks, and your constant healing from damage, you can literally block forever. Your bars will refill faster than you can spend them while spamming Siphoning Attacks, letting you stand your ground and keep firing back.
⚡ TL;DR
Maintain your key buffs, double-Flail before every Fatecarver, and use your resources aggressively — they refill faster than you think. Cheat Code rewards active play and punishes standing still. Stay moving, stay casting, and stay alive.
Mundus, Attributes & Race
Mundus: Thief
Attributes: 64 Stamina
Recommended Race: Orc
Khajiit, Argonian, Nord, and Imperial are all viable alternatives. Race choice will not break the build — it only changes how it feels to play.
