🔥 The Build

The Hot Sauce build is a raw Dragonknight setup focused on fire damage, whips, and clean timing. Reworked for Update 50, it leans back into the core Dragonknight kit without unnecessary extras.

The focus is simple. Keep your damage over time effects active, build your stacks, and hit your whip when it is ready. There is no fixed loop. You react to timers, refresh what is needed, and avoid overlapping skills.

This setup is built to handle all ESO content, including dungeons, trials, and arenas. It performs well at a base level and scales cleanly as your timing and consistency improve.

Gear is flexible within reason as one of them can be replaced with a very closely performing crafted set. While regardless of set options, ALL of it can be acquired on Normal difficulty.

This is as spammy as a two bar but with a ONE bar setup, what else could you want from a build but fun and simplicity?? ENJOY!

The Hot Sauce Build Skills

This Dragonknight build is simple, effective and only requires ONE BAR! It offers high single target damage, AND a unique buff for the group! It's MOSTLY close range, but in long ranged situations it can still reach with light attacks, heavy attacks and spamables, so is great for all mechanical situations.

Class Mastery

Update 50 has given us a new system called Class Mastery in The Elder Scrolls Online. If you decide to remain 100% pure class, you gain access to five unique Class Mastery passives, but can only choose two. These are the two selected for this build.

Rotation – Hot Sauce Build

The rotation is built around three simple rules:

  • Maintain Burning Embers and Shatterspike Mantle.
  • Use Molten Whip every time it flashes.
  • Cast Magma Fist at least once every 7 seconds to maintain its group damage buff.

Before combat begins, make sure Incinerate is already active.

Opening Rotation

Light Attack → Magma Fist →
Light Attack → Burning Embers →
Light Attack → Shatterspike Mantle →
Light Attack → Molten Whip

Main Rotation

From here the rotation becomes very simple.

Light Attack → Magma Fist ×3 →
Light Attack → Molten Whip

Whenever Burning Embers, Shatterspike Mantle, or Incinerate expire, simply replace one of the three Magma Fists with the skill that needs refreshing.

Important Notes

  • Do not refresh Incinerate early. Let it expire before casting it again.
  • Burning Embers and Shatterspike Mantle can safely be refreshed early to maintain 100% uptime.
  • Allowing Embers and Shatterspike to expire also helps build Wildfire stacks, BUT, if you overlap them early, it counts as "damage over time finished" even though a new one has started. So you can force the stacks to start sooner! In the beginning of the fight if you slightly overlap the doots too fast, it's actually a bit of a plus, however, that's a higher skill level to try to manage/figure out. keep it simple for now and take advantage of oppotunities when you get used to it.

🏆 Champion Points – Hot Sauce Magicka Dragonknight Setup

Champion Points are designed to help enhance what you already have. Whether it be survival stats, sustainability, specific damage type improvements and more. This (technically) Magicka Dragonknight build, has addapted over time, making it far more HYBRIDIZED stat wise, but still feels like it's magical self. The buffs and bonuses from the slotable champion points, support the choices of the skills for the build and boost them regardless of us scaling into stamina a lot!

Once you reach level 50, CP allows you to enhance your damage output across the three constellations: Warfare (Blue), Craft (Green), and Fitness (Red). For Hot Sauce, we prioritize damage slottables first, sustain and mobility second, and survivability perks last.

ESO Green Champion Points
  • Steed’s Blessing

This tree is mostly passive convenience — unlock what you wish over time. These perks do not affect combat, so invest here at your own pace.

ESO Red Champion Points
  • Boundless Vitality
  • Rejuvenation
  • Fortified
  • Siphoning Spells

These Champion Point selections give Hot Sauce strong direct damage, improved DoT pressure, passive healing, and excellent resource sustain — perfect for a one-bar Magicka Dragonknight focusing on simple but brutal fire damage.

Potions, Poisons, and Food

🧪 Potion Ingredients (Tri-Pots)

Use the highest-level food you can access that provides only Max Health and Max Stamina. All of the following foods grant the same bonus — choose whichever is easiest to obtain.

Mundus Stone, Attribute Points and Race

✔️ We are using the Thief Mundus Stone.

✔️ All 64 Attribute Points are placed into Stamina.

✔️ The chosen race is Orc, due to high Magicka and damage bonuses.

Race is ultimately a personal choice. If you want to use other races it's perfectly fine, but you will get minor differences due to their passives. Understand what they are and adaptacordingly if necessary. But generally, you won't have a problem, just may lose a couple K dps here and there.

The Hot Sauce Build – Gear Setup

This gear setup very easy to apply and available in NORMAL difficulty if prefered with NO downside. One set can be crafted if you decide following the chart below,. The difference is minimal but the choice is ultimately yours. Not all setups have an "alternative" they are designed with intents and purposes, but this one has a little more freedom with similar performance.

NOTE: As explained in the video, so long as the sets fit you can TECHNICALLY put them in any order that suits you but you do have to consider passives. below is optimal for weights, but you can swap some parts around if you don't have everything perfect.

If you Change Taderi to Makderi you will get Magicka Recovery instead.
