VENOM – Infinite Archive Stamina Arcanist Build for The Elder Scrolls Online

WE ARE VENOM! You’re fast, aggressive, hard to kill, and regenerate from all damage you deal. Even better? Each kill sets off a chain reaction of destruction thanks to the explosive power of the Macabre Vintage set. Inspired by the infamous Marvel anti-hero, this build isn’t just themed—it works.

VENOM is a two-bar, stamina-focused Arcanist build with magical weapons and lightning + fire flavor. It’s a hybrid playstyle designed from the ground up to dominate the Infinite Archive in The Elder Scrolls Online. With massive healing, big burst, strong sustain, and incredible resistance uptime, this build allows you to solo or duo comfortably at any stage.

☠️ Azureblight Is Dead. Long Live the Macabre.

In Update 46, Fatecarver shifted from ticking DoT to direct damage—so Azureblight no longer triggers. That’s why we made the upgrade to Macabre Vintage, which detonates on kill and fits the fast-paced VENOM playstyle.

💚 Self-Healing That Never Stops

Thanks to the Ring of the Pale Order, you heal for 20% of all damage dealt (solo) or 16% (duo)—including beam ticks and Macabre bursts. Combine that with your buffs and shields, and VENOM becomes nearly unkillable.

🔥 Why VENOM Works

  • Kill = Explosion: Every enemy that dies triggers Macabre for explosive AoE damage.
  • Beam + Heal combo: Fatecarver and Ring of the Pale Order sustain you while you deal damage.
  • High Resistances: Maintained buffs grant strong defenses throughout combat.
  • Fluid two-bar flow: Buff → ground dot → beam → boom → repeat.
  • Solo or duo-ready: Fully capable with or without a partner in the Archive.
  • Resource refunded on kill: Stamina, Magicka, and Ultimate regenerate instantly on kill.
  • Synergy-friendly: Ring doesn’t block group synergies like Blood Altar.

🕹️ Playstyle Overview

VENOM’s core loop is: Buff → Ground AoEs → Beam → Kill → Explode → Repeat.

You’re not parsing on a dummy here. You’re clearing mobs fast, building Crux, and detonating enemies with every kill. No need to overcomplicate it with tight rotations—focus on positioning, uptime, and aggression, and the build will carry you through stage after stage.

Take it for a spin. Adapt. Survive. Explode the Archive.

🏆 Champion Points – Venom, Infinite Archive Arcanist Setup

Champion Points in The Elder Scrolls Online are a key part of the Venom Build setup. These choices focus on raw survival, sustain, and consistent damage output — everything you need for solo arenas, overland content, and Infinite Archive runs.

Once you hit level 50, Champion Points (CP) keep your character growing in three main constellations. This build focuses on Warfare (Blue), Fitness (Red), and minimal investment in Craft (Green) for passive travel speed, crafting bonuses, and other quality-of-life perks.

ESO Blue Champion Points
  • Reaving Blows
  • Wrathful Strikes
  • Biting Aura
  • Master At Arms
ESO Green Champion Points

Steed’s Blessing
The green tree is mostly passive — invest here as you gain points for travel speed, crafting bonuses, and quality-of-life perks.

ESO Red Champion Points
  • Boundless Vitality
  • Fortified
  • Bloody Renewal
  • Siphoning Spells

Note: In Infinite Archive, you can swap Biting Aura for Occult Overload if you manage to get the Focused Efforts vision for extra synergy.

🔥 VENOM – Rotation Overview

This is a fast-paced, reactive build for the Infinite Archive, where strict rotations aren’t viable. Trash mobs die too fast, and perfect rotations waste your resources. Focus instead on maintaining buffs, placing ground dots, and executing clean beam bursts.

🛡️ Buff Maintenance First

  • Cruxweaver Armour – Major Resolve & Crux when hit
  • Runeguard of Freedom – Minor Resolve, burst heal, and snare removal
  • Inspired Scholarship – Crux on use with no Crux active

✔️ Keep these active at all times. They define your survivability and crux uptime.

💥 Setting Up the Kill Zone

  • Unstable Wall of Elements – Apply under enemies to trigger high DoT
  • Rune of Displacement – Pull targets into your beam zone
  • Keep enemies stacked inside Wall for immobilization and explosions

⚔️ Core Damage Rotation

You’re not parsing here—you’re crux building and beaming enemies to death:

  • Cast Cephaliarch’s Flail twice (with light attacks) to get 3x Crux
  • Use Pragmatic Fatecarver to beam down targets
  • Light attack before each skill for sustain + extra damage

Basic rhythm:
Flail → Light Attack → Flail → Light Attack → Fatecarver → repeat!

🩸 Use Reaper’s Mark Smartly

Apply Reaper’s Mark to a high-health enemy. When they die:

  • You gain Major Berserk (10s) — longer with Extended Favors
  • You get a full heal on kill

💡 Keep It Simple

Don’t micromanage. Don’t chase dummy rotation rules. Instead:

  • Maintain your 3 core buffs
  • Drop Wall and pull targets in
  • Build Crux → Beam → Explode enemies with Macabre

VENOM isn’t about precision—it’s about pressure, control, and detonation.

✅ TL;DR

  • ✔️ Maintain Cruxweaver Armour, Runeguard, and Scholarship
  • ✔️ Drop Unstable Wall and pull enemies into it
  • ✔️ Build 3x Crux with Cephaliarch’s Flail
  • ✔️ Spam Fatecarver with full Crux to beam and explode
  • ✔️ Use Reaper’s Mark for execute burst + full heal

Now go melt the Archive.

Attributes, Race, and Mundus Stone

Below is a detailed overview of the gear setup, highlighting optimal weight, enchantments, and traits to maximize your VENOM build's performance.

✔️ We are using the Thief Mundus Stone for enhanced stamina regeneration and critical chance.

✔️ All 64 Attribute Points are allocated into Stamina to maximize damage and sustain.

✔️ Our recommended race is Nord , prized for its high resistances, balanced health and stamina pool, and superior ultimate regeneration—ideal for the demanding Infinite Archive gameplay.

However, any other race will also perform exceptionally well with this build. The differences mainly boil down to minor passive variations, so feel free to pick your favorite.

Race selection is ultimately personal. If you want robust survivability and consistent sustain, Nord is optimal. Otherwise, customize based on your playstyle preferences — it’s your game!

NOTE: The weapon and spell damage glyphs are specifically weapon and spell damage, BUT the choice of which one is up to you. If you use Taderi/Kuta/Repora you will get stamina recovery with it. If you use Makderi/Kuta/Repora, you will get magicka recovery with it. PERSONALLY i recommend the first one, but the choice is yours. The damage bonuses will be the same regardless!
