The Elder Scrolls Online Classes
There are SIX classes in The Elder Scrolls Online from which to choose. You can be a Dragonknight, Templar, Nightblade, Sorcerer, Warden, or Necromancer. Each of these classes has THREE individual skill lines that make it unique from the rest. These skills vary in visual style, application, and the effects seen during combat or in-game mechanics.
There are three traditional roles in ESO which include a tank, a healer, and a damage dealer. However, the choices for creating a character are endless. Unlike traditional MMORPGs, The Elder Scrolls Online does NOT restrict you to a specific role per class. Instead, every single class in the game can play every single role. Tanks can help with dps and heals. Healers can do damage. DPS can contribute to heals or be tanky. The ONLY difference is YOUR playstyle and how YOU build it. Play your own way. Any class, any race, any role – the choice is yours.
There are countless millions of options in the game so testing what you like before pigeonholing yourself into one way or no way (the typical linear mindset of lesser games in the genre) is the key to maximum enjoyment in the game.
I have multiple builds of each class in various different playstyles each carefully designed and stress-tested to Nirn and back in a huge amount of REAL in-game situations in order to deliver to you fully functioning, successful, content viable builds for players of ALL experience levels!!

Meet The Dragonknight
The Dragonknight thrives in the heart of battle burning foes with cleansing flames and withstanding almost any assault. With skills like Molten Lava, Dragon Blood, and Fiery Grip, the Dragonknight allows you to win the war!
The Dragonknight class is a base game class. Dragonknights are extremely diverse with excellent melee abilities and ranged casting abilities.
Draw from the power of the earth and mythical dragons while overpowering enemies with ferocious fire spells. Dragonknights use the ancient Akaviri martial arts and wield fiery magic.
According to the lore book “Mythical Beast, Real Powers” by Drusus Ovicula, those fearless mortals who fought legendary dragons became ‘Dragonknights’. They are said to be able to wrap themselves in flame without being burned and can form a loop of flaming chain to draw a target near. Some are even said to be able to literally breathe fire!

Templars use the power of the burning sun to deal massive damage to their enemies. With skills like Binding Javelin, Solar Barrage, and Radiating Aura, the Templar deals massive damage to their enemies while restoring health, magicka, and stamina to their allies.
The Templar class is a base game class. The Templar is an extraordinary choice for healing but it’s also capable of tanking and outputting high dps.
Bring justice to Tamriel with cleansing light as a Templar calling on the unlimited power of the sun to destroy your enemies and restore yourself and your allies. Templars are beacons to their allies and blinding threats to their enemies.
According to the lore book “Aura of the Righteous” by Ptolus the Bright, the Priests and Resolutes of Stendarr adapted his glowing fit to smite, defend, and heal. Offensively, the gift manifests as a piercing beam of light. It may also take a form of a diffusing aura that mitigates attacks. The last form is that of a glowing tool meant for cleansing and healing.

Meet The Warden
The Warden is often called the Defender of Nature. With skills like Leeching Vines, Subterranean Assault, and Wild Guardian this class uses nature to its advantage and can summon animal companions!
The Warden class is not a base game class. It was introduced in 2017 with the Morrowind Chapter and its class can be purchased as an upgrade through the Crown Store for 1500 crowns. The Warden is an all-around and versatile class choice. Tank, Healer, DPS, even a well-balanced hybrid are all easily accomplished with the Warden.
Wardens are defenders of nature, and master storytellers whose green tales become magical reality. They wield frost spells against enemies and summon animals to aid them. Wardens have strong healing and damage potential making it a well-balanced class that can easily fit into any role.
According to the lore book “Who Are The Wardens?” by Lady Cinnabar of Taneth, Wardens have a close guardian connection with the god Y’ffre, the deity of song and forest. Wardens are willing and able to shed blood to protect the wilds. There are many reports of Wardens attacking foes that have done harm to their realm.
Wardens draw upon their natural environments and can change the shape of reality itself by using abilities traditionally thought to be either Alteration or Conjuration. Wardens of all races protect Tamriel’s wilderness using nature’s bounty of both plant and animal life in order to survive.

The Necromancer is a master of death itself. With skills like Ruinous Scythe, Venom Skull, and Braided Tether this class is sustainable with plenty of damage.
The Necromancer class is not a base game class. It was introduced in June 2019 with the Elsweyr chapter and its class can be purchased as an upgrade through the Crown Store for 1500 crowns.
Master the dark arts. Necromancers manipulate souls to raise the dead and empower them. Weave ghastly spells to both cause harm and to heal.
Control the battlefield with the bones of the departed while bending and breaking the dead to create impenetrable barriers. Necromancers can also resurrect defeated allies.
